STARLIGHT
CLASSIFICATION: REPAINT "Beware, Starscream. If you dispose of me, there will always be someone waiting to dispose of you..." Preamble: Starlight is the last generic background Decepticon to appear in the three-part pilot episode, "More Than Meets the Eye." He's one of the guys who cautiously steps out of frame when Starscream makes yet another bid for power. (Serves Megatron right for setting down his fusion cannon. If I were him, I'd never let that thing out of my sight.) Starlight, as I've named him, is colored similarly but not identically to Twilight, so I've decided the two characters are flying partners. Brother and sister, perhaps. Construction: I intentionally painted Starlight at the same time as Twilight so I could use the same batch of purple and grey paint for both of them. (I could have done them separately, I guess, but it was important to me that their colors matched. I'm picky that way.) Comments: For the character's biography, I freely admit that I latched onto a single action and basically ballooned it into his entire worldview. To me, at least, it's marginally better than inventing something up out of whole cloth. (At least this way I can point to the episode as evidence of the character traits I've given him.)
STARLIGHT "The secret to winning a war is to survive it."
Seeks to avoid confrontation whenever
possible...dedicated to the Decepticon cause, but would rather collect energy
than fight the Autobots. Astrographic mapping circuitry can plot courses
for distances up to 10 parsecs with only .0002 percent margin for error.
Launches self-propelled sensor probes in jet mode...armed with two
spectral beacon cannons in robot mode. Withdrawal from combat hinders
overall usefulness.
