 Join Captain Ketchum, Science Officer Brock, Lieutenant Misty Waterflower, Ensign Tracey Sketchit, and Captain's Pet Pikachu as they dare to explore the stars!</div> <bR> <bR> <div> Ash:  Captain's log, stardate 3-13-02.  While investigating the star system Alpha Gamma Sigma, we have come across an ancient alien probe orbiting the fourth planet.  Since we are unable to determine the purpose and origins of this probe, we have taken it onboard to study it.  Lieutenant Gary Oak and our newest crew member, Ensign Liz Dalton, have been assigned to study the probe.  Hopefully they will be able to solve the mystery of its existance.</div> <bR> <div> *shutting off the log, Ash swivels his chair around to face his fellow officers*</div> <bR> <div> Ash:  Hey, Misty, how did I do?</div> <bR> <div> Misty:  *At the comm station*  Sounded good to me.  At least you were reporting something important this time, unlike your second-in-command.</div> <bR> <div> Brock:  No one told me that I wasn't allowed to record a love song to Nurse Joy on there!</div> <bR> <div> Misty:  It's the official ship's log, Brock!  You're not supposed to record anything but official ship's business on that log!  If you want to sing love songs or recite poetry, put it on your own personal log!</div> <bR> <div> *Suddenly the intercom sounds*</div> <bR> <div> Intercom:  Bridge, this is Gary.  I think we've found something.  Hurry up and get down here, I don't have all day!  *the intercom clicks off*</div> <bR> <div> Ash:  Come on, let's see what they've got.  Lieutenant Squirtle, you've got the conn.</div> <bR> <div> *As Ash, Misty, and Brock leave the bridge, the helmsman, Lieutenant Squirtle, salutes and jumps up into Ash's chair, looking pleased to be in "the important chair."  The weapons officer, Ensign Charmander, rolls his eyes.*</div> <bR> <div> *Down in the science lab, Gary and Liz are standing beside the strange blocky probe, which is now lit up in various places.  Pikachu is nearby, watching their progress.*</div> <bR> <div> Gary:  Excellent!  *The door opens and Ash, Misty, and Brock come into the room.  Gary addresses them.*  We've managed to get this hunk of junk powered up again.  We should be able to access its computer records in just a moment.</div> <bR> <div> Ash:  Great, I can't wait to see what this thing's supposed to do!  How'd you get it started, anyway?</div> <bR> <div> Gary:  Well, actually...  Pikachu gave it a thunderbolt...</div> <bR> <div> Pikachu:  Oh yeah!  I rule!</div> <bR> <div> Ash:  *staring at Pikachu for a moment*  You know, I still haven't gotten used to that Universal Translator...</div> <bR> <div> Gary:  Yeah, whatever.  Let's get back to the probe, shall we?</div> <bR> <div> Liz:  We've already got it hooked up to the computer.  Now all we need to do is activate the data transfer.  I'll do that right now... *flipping open a small hatch on the side of the probe, Liz flicks a switch inside.  The probe starts to hum.*  There, that should do it.</div> <bR> <div> Gary:  Hey, the computer says that it's not getting any information.  *Walking over to the probe, Gary stares at the controls that Liz just used.*  Maybe this thing's broken.  Oh wait, I wonder if we should have pressed this button...</div> <bR> <div> *Before Gary can say anything else, the probe glows brightly and curls of energy flow around its surface.  Gary and Liz, who were both touching the probe, are both covered with a glowing field of blue energy.  Both fall to the ground, as the probe returns to its dormant state.*</div> <bR> <div> Brock:  Oh, no!  *smacks the lab's intercom*  Medical emergency in Science Lab 2, get a medical team down here fast!</div> <bR> <div> Misty:  *leaning over Liz*  It's too late, Brock.  They're both dead!</div> <bR> <DIV ALIGN="LEFT"></DIV> <div> *  *  *  *  *  *  *</div> <bR> <div> *Scene: Space...  As a cheap-looking ripoff of the Starship <I>Enterprise</I> flies past, cheesy music plays.*</div> <bR> <div> Ash (voice-over):  Space, the final frontier...  *sound of a page flipping*  These are the voyages of the Starship <I>Challenger</I>.  Its five-year mission -- if we last that long -- is to explore new worlds, seek out new pokémon, and learn lots of stuff about alien cultures.  We will boldly go where no pokémon trainer has gone before!</div> <bR> <div> *tribal music plays as the credits roll, accompanied by a screech that sounds like an Indian war cry.*</div> <bR> <div> Ash (voice-over):  *As the screen fades to black*  Oops, wrong track...</div> <bR> <DIV ALIGN="LEFT"></DIV> <div> *  *  *  *  *  *  *</div> <bR> <div> <B>Poke Trek</B></div> <div> <B>Episode 1:  Where No Pokémon Has Gone Before!</B></div> <bR> <div> *It has now been ten minutes since Gary and Liz were blasted by the probe.  Tracey is now scanning them with a tricorder.*</div> <bR> <div> Tracey:  Yep, they're dead all right!</div> <bR> <div> Gary:  *Sitting up.*  Whoa!  What happened?!</div> <bR> <div> Tracey:  *As Liz gets up as well*  Or not...</div> <bR> <div> Ash:  Gary!  You and Liz were dead for ten minutes!  We need to get the two of you to sickbay to see if you're all right!</div> <bR> <div> Gary:  I don't need to go to sickbay!  I've never felt better in my --  *Gary tries to stand and collapses*  Okay, never mind that...  Take us to sickbay...</div> <bR> <div> *By the time Ash, Brock, Misty, and Tracey manage to carry Gary and Liz to sickbay, they have discovered an unsettling new development.  As they lay Gary on one of the biobeds, they find that his eyes are now a bright gold color.*</div> <bR> <div> Misty:  Aaaah!  What's happened to you!</div> <bR> <div> Nurse Joy:  *scanning Gary with another tricorder*  I've never seen anything like it!</div> <bR> <div> Tracey:  My tricorder showed him as dead, and then he just got up!  Something strange is going on here!</div> <bR> <div> Ash:  It all started with that alien probe!  I'm going to go take care of that right now!  *Turning around, Ash storms out of sickbay*</div> <bR> <div> Misty:  I wonder where he's going.</div> <bR> <div> Brock:  Doesn't matter.  We need to find out what happened to Gary and Liz first.  How did they come back to life?  Why are Gary's eyes gold?  Will Liz go on a date with me?</div> <bR> <div> Liz:  Over my dead body!</div> <bR> <div> Brock:  Great!  I was already over your dead body!  Now you can date me!</div> <bR> <div> Liz:  You need serious help, you know that?</div> <bR> <div> Nurse Joy:  *running interference*  Mr. Brock, this woman is in no condition to put up with your advances.  I demand you stop traumatizing my patients at once!</div> <bR> <div> Brock:  Okay, nurse...  Will you go out with me, then?</div> <bR> <div> Joy:  *Giving him an icy glare*  No.</div> <bR> <div> Brock:  Aww......</div> <bR> <div> Gary:  Nurse Joy, I feel fine now.  Can't I go back to work?</div> <bR> <div> Joy:  No!  I have all sorts of tests to run on you!  Why don't you just watch a movie while I work?</div> <bR> <div> Gary:  Okay...  *Notices the remote control at the other end of the room*  Hey, could someone go get me the--  *The remote floats up in the air and hovers over to him*  Oh...  Never mind.</div> <bR> <div> Brock:  Wow, that was cool!  Can you teach me how to do that?  I bet it would really impress the ladies!</div> <bR> <div> Joy:  Don't tell him!</div> <bR> <div> Gary:  I can't!  I don't even know how I did it!</div> <bR> <div> Misty:  You don't?</div> <bR> <div> Tracey:  Gary, are you by any chance a closet psychic?</div> <bR> <div> Gary:  No, not a bit.  I'm afraid that that isn't one of my many enviable talents!</div> <bR> <div> Misty:  But self-infatuation is...</div> <bR> <div> Gary:  It's not my fault that I'm great!</div> <bR> <div> Joy:  *glancing at her scans of Gary*  Well, so far, I've found an increase in brain activity.</div> <bR> <div> Gary:  Hey, you should hook Ash up to that probe!  Maybe then he wouldn't be such a loser!</div> <bR> <div> Joy:  *glaring at Gary*  That will be enough, Lieutenant.  As I was saying, it appears that the probe has boosted your brain to allow new levels of psychic power.  You're nearly as powerful as a Kadabra now, Mr. Oak.</div> <bR> <div> Gary:  Neat!</div> <bR> <div> Joy:  Brock, I'm going to need some more information about that probe, so I can figure out just what it did to him.</div> <bR> <div> Brock:  I'll get a team on it right away!</div> <bR> <bR> <div> *Ash is reclining in his chair on the bridge when the turbolift opens and a very annoyed Brock steps out*</div> <bR> <div> Brock:  ASH!  WHAT DID YOU DO WITH THE PROBE?!?!</div> <bR> <div> Ash:  Huh?  Why?</div> <bR> <div> Misty:  *Following Brock out of the lift*  We need to study it to find out what it did to Gary!</div> <bR> <div> Ash:  Oh....  Well, that'll be kinda hard to do now...</div> <bR> <div> Brock:  Why?!</div> <bR> <div> Ash:  Well, uh...  I sort of launched it into the sun....</div> <bR> <div> Brock:  Aaaaaaahhh!!  How could you be so dense!</div> <bR> <div> Ash:  I didn't want it to hurt anyone else!</div> <bR> <div> Squirtle:  Hey, Captain?  This console's not responding to any commands.  The ship's speeding up, but I  can't stop it!</div> <bR> <div> Ash:  What?  *Ash turns on the intercom*  Ketchum to Engineering.  Have Sparky come to the bridge.</div> <bR> <div> *The turbolift opens and a Raichu steps out.*</div> <bR> <div> Ash:  Wow, that was fast...</div> <bR> <div> Sparky:  Captain, someone's overridden mah engineering controls!  We'll be at warp six in five minutes, and warp ten in another five.  The engines willnae be able to handle the stress!</div> <bR> <div> Ash:  Well, quick, find a way to stop it!</div> <bR> <div> Sparky:  But how, Captain?</div> <bR> <div> Ash:  I don't know!  You're the engineer!  Do something!</div> <bR> <div> Sparky:  Ah may be a miracle worker, sir, but ah have no control!  Ah've tried to deactivate the warp core, but it didn't stop, even though it doesnae have power to it anymore!   Ah cannae slow us down if the ship won't respond!</div> <bR> <div> *The intercom sounds.*</div> <bR> <div> Intercom:  Hey, everyone.  Welcome to Gary Oak Airlines.  Our flight today will take us from Alpha Gamma Sigma to Zeta Omega Theta Three!  Whoa, say that three times fast!  Enjoy the ride, losers!</div> <bR> <div> Ash:  Hey, that was Gary!</div> <bR> <div> Brock:  Has he gone insane?!  Come on, we have to get back to sickbay!</div> <bR> <div> *Ash, Misty, and Brock rush back to sickbay, where Tracey and Joy are hiding behind a biobed as Gary controls a glowing whirlwind of laser scalpels.*</div> <bR> <div> Ash:  Gary!</div> <bR> <div> Gary:  Look at me, Ash!  I can feel the power flowing through me!  I'm almost a god!  No, strike that!  I AM a god!</div> <bR> <div> Misty:  You're insane!</div> <bR> <div> Gary:  No!  I have finally discovered my true power.  I will reshape the universe as I please!</div> <bR> <div> Ash:  I won't let you!  *taking they phaser from his belt, Ash fires it at Gary, but the ray has no effect.  Ash starts to switch to a higher setting, but the weapon flies out of his hands, into the grasp of Liz Dalton.*</div> <bR> <div> Brock:  What?  You're...</div> <bR> <div> Liz:  *now with gold eyes*  Yes, my own powers have increased as well.  Please, do not try to stop us, and you will not be harmed.</div> <bR> <div> Gary:  Not that we care about you pathetic bugs, but we don't want your guts all over the ship's floor.</div> <bR> <div> Misty:  What are you going to do?</div> <bR> <div> Gary:  Well, WE'RE going to Zeta Omega Theta Three, where we'll reshape the planet into our own dream world.  YOU will all go back to your normal lives.  At least, you will for a week or so, until we get bored and decide to conquer the galaxy and bend you all to our will!</div> <bR> <div> Ash:  You can't do that!</div> <bR> <div> Gary:  Spare me from your foolish prattle!  We're omnipotent!  We can do whatever we like!  Now go...  Sit in your captain's chair and pretend you're a leader.  It'll be the last chance you get before I destroy you!  *Gary flings everyone except himself and Liz out of the room.*  So, my dear, are you looking forward to being a god?</div> <bR> <div> Liz:  Yes, I could have never dreamed of such a thing, until now.  I can hardly wait to start!</div> <bR> <bR> <div> Ash:  Captain's log, Stardate 3-13-02, second entry.  Lieutenant Oak has taken over the <I>Challenger</I>.  It seems that the alien probe has given him and Ensign Dalton almost god-like psychic powers.  He has become power-hungry and a menace to life everywhere, but because of his power, we have been unable to resist him.  Since we have no way to stop him, we have been forced to continue our course towards Zeta Omega Theta Three.  I have asked Sparky to rig up explosives so that we can destroy the ship, should that prove to be the only way to stop Gary from subjugating the universe...</div> <bR> <div> Misty:  You know, that was an important message, but now I wish we just had Brock singing again...</div> <bR> <div> *The intercom chirps.  Once again, Gary is making a speech*</div> <bR> <div> Gary:  We have just reached our destination.  Goddess Dalton and I will be leaving the ship momentarily.  You may leave us tribute in Transporter Room 1, should you wish to remain in our favor.</div> <bR> <div> Pikachu:  *Hopping up on Ash's head*  If he wasn't superpowered, I'd Thundershock him so hard...</div> <bR> <div> Ash:  Yeah, I know...</div> <bR> <div> Pikachu:  I've been thinking...  If we electrocuted him, do you think it would stop him?  I mean, do you think me and Sparky together could take him?</div> <bR> <div> Misty:  I doubt it...  *The turbolift door opens and Togepi runs out, coming directly to Misty*  Hey, I thought I told you to stay back in our quarters.  It's dangerous out here right now!</div> <bR> <div> Togepi:  Ice cream!</div> <bR> <div> Misty:  Huh?  Ice cream?  Are you hungry?</div> <bR> <div> Togepi:  Ice cream!  *Togepi points to Ash*</div> <bR> <div> Misty:  No, no...  He's a pudding-head, not ice cream!</div> <bR> <div> Togepi:  *giggles, then points at Ash again*  Puddle head!</div> <bR> <div> Misty:  Close enough!</div> <bR> <div> Ash:  These translators are freaking me out...</div> <bR> <div> Togepi:  *hugging Misty's leg*  Dinner, mama!  Dinner!</div> <bR> <div> Misty:  Okay, okay.   Sorry, you two.  You'll have to figure out how to stop Gary by yourselves.  Togepi's hungry!  *Picking up the egg pokémon, Misty steps into the turbolift, leaving Ash and Brock on the bridge*</div> <bR> <div> Brock:  You know, she could have picked a better time to leave....</div> <bR> <div> Ash:  Yeah, like after we get out of this mess!</div> <bR> <div> Gary (Intercom):  Hey!  There's no tribute here!  That makes me mad!</div> <bR> <div> Liz (Intercom):  Forget it.  There's nothing they can give us that we can't make ourselves, anyway.</div> <bR> <div> Gary (Intercom):  Yeah, you're right...  Okay, let's go then...  We can take their stuff from them later.  *A high-pitched whining sound is heard, then nothing*</div> <bR> <div> Ash:  They must have beamed down to the planet.</div> <bR> <div> Charmander:  Sir, the wessel is now responding to controls!</div> <bR> <div> Ash:  The wessel?</div> <bR> <div> Brock:  He means the ship, Ash.</div> <bR> <div> Ash:  Well, okay...  Keep the wessel in orbit then!</div> <bR> <div> Charmander:  Wessel, sir?  Are you making fun of my accent?</div> <bR> <div> Ash:  What accent?  Just keep the ship in orbit while I go stop Gary!</div> <bR> <div> Brock:  You're going to stop him?  How?!</div> <bR> <div> Ash:  Well, first I need a phaser rifle...</div> <bR> <bR> <div> *On the surface of the planet, Ash materializes next to a sheer cliff, carrying a huge weapon.  Searching around for Gary, he quickly runs into Liz*</div> <bR> <div> Ash:  Liz!  Where's Gary?</div> <bR> <div> Liz:  He is creating, Ash.  Creating a new world for us to inhabit!  You should leave before he returns.  He may not be pleased to see you here.</div> <bR> <div> Ash:  I can't go!  He's threatening the universe.  That's a bad thing to do!  Can't you see?  Ever since he got these powers he's become an evil maniac!  Absolute corruption is absolutely powerful!</div> <bR> <div> Liz:  What?!</div> <bR> <div> Ash:  Uh... It means we shouldn't let you do bad things!</div> <bR> <div> Liz:  You mean that you all think we're now a threat to the world because we're all-powerful and corrupt?</div> <bR> <div> Ash:  Yeah, I guess so.</div> <bR> <div> Liz:  *considering that*  You know, you're absolutly right!</div> <bR> <div> Ash:  My head hurts...  That's enough absolutes for me...</div> <bR> <div> *Suddenly, Gary returns*</div> <bR> <div> Gary:  Ash, you idiot.  Have you returned to try to stop me?</div> <bR> <div> Ash:  Yes I have, Gary!  *aiming the rifle at Gary, Ash blasts him with a full-power laser.  Once again, nothing happens*  Uh-oh...</div> <bR> <div> Gary:  Why'd you do that, Ash?  Now I'll have to kill you!  *waving an arm, Gary uses his psychic powers to knock away the weapon.  Turning, Gary waves his hand again, creating a deep hole in the ground with a tombstone at the end of it*  Okay, Ash, get in!</div> <bR> <div> Ash:  What do you think I am, stupid?</div> <bR> <div> Gary:  Ash, you have a knack for understatement...</div> <bR> <div> Ash:  I don't know what you're talking about, but I know that's supposed to be my grave, and I'm not planning to occupy it!</div> <bR> <div> Gary:  You don't have a choice!  *Motioning, Gary sends Ash flying into the hole*  And now, Ash Ketchum, you will die!</div> <bR> <div> *Suddenly Gary is hit by a wave of bright energy that throws him back.  Turning, he finds Liz holding her hands toward him.  Once again, she hits him with a powerful blast.  Gritting his teeth in pain, Gary attacks her back.  The two continue battling each other as Ash climbs out of the hole and grabs the rifle again.  Then, both combatants fall to the ground, exhausted.*</div> <bR> <div> Liz:  Ash...  Quick...  Shoot him before he regains his strength!</div> <bR> <div> *Ash immediately levels the rifle and blows Gary away*</div> <bR> <div> Liz:  *blinking*  You didn't even hesitate!</div> <bR> <div> Ash:  You TOLD me to shoot him!</div> <bR> <div> Liz:  Yeah, but I expected you to hesitate for a few moments, just long enough for him to regain his strength and attack you.  You fight for a few minutes, but Gary's getting stronger and he's too strong for you to beat.  Then you shoot the cliffside and a giant rock falls on him and squashes him!</div> <bR> <div> Ash:  Why would I do that?</div> <bR> <div> Liz:  It would have been more dramatic!</div> <bR> <div> Ash:  Oh...  Want me to try again?</div> <bR> <div> Liz:  It's too late for that!</div> <bR> <div> Ash:  Oh well...  How are you feeling?</div> <bR> <div> Liz:  All my powers are gone...  I think I'm back to normal now!</div> <bR> <div> Ash:  Okay.  Let's get back to the ship then!  *taking out his communicator, Ash activates it*  Ash to <I>Challenger</I>.  Two to beam up!</div> <bR> <bR> <div> *Back on the <I>Challenger</I>, as the ship departs the planet, Ash is making one more log...*</div> <bR> <div> Ash:  Captain's log, stardate 3-13-02, third entry... or is this the fourth?</div> <bR> <div> Pikachu:  *From his perch on Ash's head*  Third.</div> <bR> <div> Ash:  Okay...  Third entry.  I managed to stop Gary from enslaving the universe, but I had to shoot him to do it.  He's dead now.</div> <bR> <div> *The turbolift doors open and Gary walks onto the bridge*</div> <bR> <div> Ash:  Uh, hold on, log...  Gary!  How'd you get back here?!  I thought I blasted you into tiny little pieces!</div> <bR> <div> Gary:  Yeah, you did...</div> <bR> <div> Ash:  Then how did you get back?  And are you still omni..  om...  omnipo..  omnipolent?</div> <bR> <div> Gary:  Omnipotent?  No, I lost that when you killed me...</div> <bR> <div> Misty:  Well, how are you alive?</div> <bR> <div> Gary:  I dunno....  I just am.</div> <bR> <div> Ash:  *confused* Uh..  Log, continue...  Never mind that last..  Gary's alive again.  This time his psychic powers are gone, though.  I guess this means everything's back to normal.  End log.</div> <bR> <div> Gary:  Well, I'm going to go back to work now...  Smell ya later!</div> <bR> <div> Ash:  *As Gary leaves.*  Yeah, smell ya...  Misty, Brock, Pikachu...  Do any of you have any idea how.. uh..</div> <bR> <div> Everyone on the Bridge:  No!</div> <bR> <div> Ash:  Oh, okay...  Me neither!</div> <bR> <DIV ALIGN="LEFT"></DIV> <div> *  *  *  *  *  *  *</div> <bR> <div> *End credits scroll, as the tribal music and shrieking plays*</div> <bR> <div> Ash (voice-over):  I think they got the wrong CD...</div> <bR> <bR> </td> </tr></table></body>
