There, Matt met his brother Paul. After showing Matt a strange and mysterious Pokemon, Matt's Goldeen and Magikarp evolved! Prof. Beech wanted to study the Pokemon, so in return she gave Matt a Bellsprout! And now, the continuing episode...</div> <bR> <div> Our friends are crowded around a poster in the Pokemon Center. What is so good about the poster? It is about the Gold and Silver Pokemon competition.</div> <div> "Come on, let's go there now! The sports stadium isn't that far away!" Matt said.</div> <div> "Look down there Matt," Mike said, pointing to the bottom of the poster. "It says you need the Gold and Silver gym badges to compete."</div> <div> "Ok then, we'll just go and beat `em!"</div> <div> "I wish I had your confidence." Cheryl muttered.</div> <div> "All I want to look at now are my two new Pokemon, Bellsprout and Squirtle!" Said Matt, pointing to the floor where his new Pokemon were playing.</div> <div> "Let's go now. It's only about a week until the competition starts!" Mike suggested.</div> <div> Our friends go out of the Pokemon Center and Cheryl pulls out a map. "The gym is not far from here, just outside the town.</div> <div> So our friends follow the path up into the hills. Not long after that, they spot a Gym in Golden colours. Matt run's toward it with excitement, but forgets to open the door. He foolishly falls to the ground, clutching his face in pain.</div> <div> "You've gotta be more careful Matt," Mike said, chuckling as he pulled the handle.</div> <div> Inside was dark, but then lights switched on all around the room. "Who wishes to challenge me?" boomed a mans voice.</div> <div> "I, Matt Hone from Pallet Town!"</div> <div> "I Cheryl from Celadon!"</div> <div> "I Mike from Cerulean!"</div> <div> "Who wishes to challenge me first?" Boomed back the leader.</div> <div> "I will then." Shouted Matt.</div> <div> "Heh heh heh. Your Pokemon shall have a fit when they see mine. Go, Hitmonlee!"</div> <div> "Go, BULBASAUR! Bulbasaur, RAZOR LEAF!"</div> <div> "Hitmonlee, no! ROLLING KICK!"</div> <div> "Bulbasaur, LEECH SEED!"</div> <div> "Oh damn. Hitmonlee, Hi-Jump kick!"</div> <div> "Bulbasaur, VINE WHP!"</div> <div> "Dammit, Hitmonlee return. GOOOOOOOO, HITMONCHAN!"</div> <div> "Bulbasaur, another Razor Leaf!"</div> <div> "Hitmonchan, COMET PUNCH!"</div> <div> "Bulbasaur, TACKLE!" Hitmonchan's punch missed the running Bulbasaur, and Bulbasaur hit Hitmonchan hard in its small head.</div> <div> "Hitmonchan, RETURN! Gooooo, MACHOP!"</div> <div> "Hee hee hee. Bulbasaur, RAZOR LEAF!"</div> <div> "Machop return! Gooooooo, Dragonair!"</div> <div> "Bulbasaur, return! Staryu, SWIFT ATTACK!"</div> <div> "Dragonair, AGILITY!"</div> <div> "Staryu, Psychic!"</div> <div> "Dragonair, what are you doing?" The gym leader watched in horror as the Dragonair smashed itself against the wall continuously. "Dragonair return! Looks like you win Matt! Here is your badge. Next?"</div> <div> "I challenge you." Said Cheryl.</div> <div> "Wait a sec, gotta heal my Pokemon." The Leader squirted a few max revives over his Pokemon, then he was ready to start. "Go, Machop!"</div> <div> "Go, Horsea! Horsea, WATER GUN!" yelled Cheryl.</div> <div> "Machop return! Go, Dragonair!"</div> <div> "Horsea, return! Gooooo, HYPNO!"</div> <div> "Dragonair, Hyper beam!"</div> <div> "Hypno, use Telekinesis!" Instead of hitting Hypno with it's Hyper Beam, Dragonair hit itself. </div> <div> "Dragonair, RETURN! Go, Hitmonlee!"</div> <div> "Hypno, CONFUSION!"</div> <div> "Hitmonlee, SWIFT! Hitmonlee, I told you to use Swift!"</div> <div> "Hypno, Use your Psychic!"</div> <div> "Hitmonlee, return! Go, HITMONCHAN!"</div> <div> "Hypno return! Go Butterfree! Butterfree use your Psy-beam!"</div> <div> "Hitmonchan, use MEGA PUNCH!"</div> <div> "Butterfree? Oh yes, that's it Butterfree, hang in there. Butterfree, use Stun Spore!"</div> <div> "Hitmonchan, this is no time for a nap! Use SWIFT NOW!"</div> <div> "Butterfree, Psy-beam!" </div> <div> "Oh Goddish. Hitmonlee return. Ah well, looks like you won. Here's the badge." the leader grumbled.</div> <div> "I would like to challenge you as well." Mike said. The Gym leader looked like he was about to scream.
