To a clearing in the forest, I gathered some sticks together and started to throw them into the air and shot Flamethrower attacks at the sticks.   I did really terrible in the beginning hitting only two out of seven sticks but by the time the sun was a quarter in the air (which is when most Pokémon wake up) I had improved my aim.</div> <div> I was about to walk back to camp when a human appeared out of some bushes.</div> <div> "What Pokémon is that?" a female human said pulling out a Pokédex.</div> <div> <Cyndaquil It is timid, and always curls itself up in a ball. If attacked, it flares up it's back for protection. It usually stays hunched over. If it is angry or surprised, it shoots flames out of it's back. ></div> <div> `What do you want?" I said.</div> <div> "I am going to capture it," the female human said pulling out a Pokéball.</div> <div> "What you can't capture me I already have a trainer," I said.</div> <div> "Go Pokéball," she said throwing a Pokéball at me.  I quickly reacted by shooting some stars at the Pokéball deflecting it.</div> <div> "Whoa this one is a smart one," she said pulling out another Pokéball.</div> <div> "Stop," I said getting angry and when I get angry I light my flame.</div> <div> "And it is all powered up," the girl said.</div> <div> "Go Cubone," she said throwing a Pokéball a Pokémon with a skull for a head and a bone in its hand appeared.</div> <div> "Yeah," it yelled.</div> <div> "What are you," I yelled back.</div> <div> "I am a Cubone," it said.</div> <div> "Cubone Bone Club," the girl yelled.</div> <div> "Alright," it said running towards me.</div> <div> "Wait," I said as it swung with the bone I barely had time to dodge it and when I did I landed on my broken leg.</div> <div> "Stop," I yelled in pain as I let out some smoke.</div> <div> "Great Smokescreen," the girl yelled.</div> <div> "What *cough* *cough*," the Cubone said.</div> <div> I shoot some more stars at the Pokémon hitting it in the head.</div> <div> "Oww that hurt," the Cubone said.</div> <div> "Stop I already have a trainer," I yelled.</div> <div> "Cubone use Bonemerang," the girl yelled.</div> <div> "Yeah," it said throwing its bone at me.</div> <div> I ducked as the bone passed over my head.</div> <div> "Ha that didn't…" I was hit from behind by the bone but in the worst place possible, my broken leg.  Pain shot threw my body as I collapsed on the ground I saw stars.</div> <div> "We got it now," the girl said.  I looked up to see her take a Pokéball from her belt.</div> <div> I had to stop her make her think I still had fight left but the pain and my flame was losing power.  I concentrated and let the biggest Flamethrower I could muster it engulfed the Cubone knocking it out.</div> <div> "Uhhh…" it said as it fell on the floor.</div> <div> "Cubone!" the girl yelled as she ran up to her Pokémon.</div> <div> "Stop I have a trainer," was all I could say.</div> <div> She picked up the Cubone and called it back into its Pokéball.  I tried to stand up but my back leg was still throbbing even though it was in a cast it still hurt I layed back down.</div> <div> "Hey you have a cast," the girl said walking up to me.</div> <div> "Don't come any closer," I said trying to increase the flame on my back but instead it went out.</div> <div> "Ohh you poor thing," she said.</div> <div> Yeah now you think I am hurt.  I don't think you are too smart.</div> <div> "You must have a trainer," she said.</div> <div> Boy you are a regular Private Investigator.</div> <div> "Cyndaquil," Zane yelled running into the field with Pidgeotto flying up ahead.</div> <div> Boy even he was a site for sore eyes.</div> <div> "Hey what are you doing with my Cyndaquil," Zane said running up to me and the girl and ripping me out of her hands which hurt a lot because my leg hit the girls head.</div> <div> "Oww," she said.</div> <div> "Cyndaquil are you okay," he said.</div> <div> "No my cast," I yelled in pain.</div> <div> "Ohh that must have hurt huh?" he said figuring out he hit my cast.</div> <div> "What kind of Pokémon Trainer are you to have a Pokémon that is hurt wander off?" the girl asked.</div> <div> "Hey what do you mean what kind of Pokémon Trainer am I you are the one who attacked my Cyndaquil," Zane yelled at her.</div> <div> "Maybe you should put that thing in its Pokéball," she said.</div> <div> "Listen whatever your name is this Pokémon can't be put in a Pokéball because of its cast," Zane yelled.</div> <div> "My name is Sara and,,," she was cut off because Zane had already walked away.</div> <div> "Come back," she yelled following us back to camp.</div> <div> "Sorry about that Cyndaquil I should have came sooner," he said.</div> <div> "We first thought you would come back," Pidgeotto said.  "But after about five minutes we went off looking for you."</div> <div> "Thanks," I said.</div> <div> "I was so worried," Zane said.</div> <div> "Yeah you should be," I said.</div> <div> "Maybe I am not cut out to be a Pokémon trainer," he said as we reached the camp he had already packed everything.</div> <div> "It isn't your fault I just wanted to train," I said.</div> <div> "Well maybe we should keep going," he said walking towards K.T Canyon…I think.</div> <div> "What the big idea?" Sara said running to catch up with us.</div> <div> "What did I do?" Zane said.</div> <div> "You forgot you Cyndaquil fainted my Cubone," she said.</div> <div> "I didn't forget you never told me," he said.</div> <div> "Well you should apologize," she said.</div> <div> "Why should I you shouldn't have attacked Cyndaquil in the first place," Zane said.</div> <div> "Hey that is not fair," she said.</div> <div> "Maybe your Cubone thinks its fair," I said.</div> <div> "Right Cyndaquil lets keep going," Zane said.</div> <div> We reached K.T Canyon in the next five minutes with Sara right behind us arguing with Zane the whole way.  We entered the Pokémon Center to see the gym leader leaving.  I knew it was the gym leader because.</div> <div> "Sara you are back already," the gym leader said.</div> <div> "Hey this time I am going to win that ground badge," she said giving Nurse Joy her Pokéball probably with Cubone in it.</div> <div> "Nurse Joy," Zane said.</div> <div> "Hold on, Chansey take this Pokémon to have healed," she said handing Sara's Pokéball to Chansey.  "Yes," she said after Chansey left.</div> <div> "Did the Nurse Joy tell you about Cyndaquil?" Zane asked.</div> <div> "Yes she did come back her with your Pokémon," she said.</div> <div> We left Sara there and went to the back where Nurse Joy examined my leg.  Zane told her about how Cubone hit my cast. After she took some x-rays she came back with the results.</div> <div> "Your Cyndaquils leg is healing up nicely," she said.  "I am going to make the cast smaller but remember it still can't go in its Pokéball and it is still a good idea that you carry it around."</div> <div> "Okay then," Zane said.</div> <div> "Also your Pidgeotto is healed," she said handing him the Pokéball.</div> <div> Nurse Joy then removed my cast with some kind of saw and she applied the new smaller cast.</div> <div> "Ready to go Cyndaquil," Zane said returning after probably eating.</div> <div> "Yeah I guess," I said as he picked me up.</div> <div> "We are going to win a badge," he said walking out of the Pokémon Center.</div> <div> We reached the gym to see Sara's Cubone trying to take out a Pokémon.</div> <div> <A Mole Pokémon. When three Digletts team up, they form a Dugtrio. Dugtrio are much harder to find than Diglett and are much more dangerous. HP is tripled, as Diglett is the Pokémon with the lowest HP. It triggers huge earthquakes by burrowing sixty miles underground. > The Pokédex said identifying the Pokémon.</div> <div> "Cubone use Bonemerang," Sara yelled.</div> <div> "Yeah," yelled the Cubone as it threw the bone it flew through the air and hit the Dugtrio once.</div> <div> "Dugtrio Dig," the gym leader yelled but it was too late it got hit with the returning bone knocking it out.</div> <div> "Yeah I won," she yelled.</div> <div> "Dugtrio return," Phil said a little disappointed as he called back his Pokémon.</div> <div> "Where is my badge Phil after 2 weeks of losing I want my badge," Sara said.</div> <div> "Here it is," he said handing her a badge.</div> <div> "All right Cubone we finally won the ground badge," she yelled.</div> <div> "YEAH," it yelled.</div> <div> Then Sara turned around and saw us.</div> <div> "What are you doing here?" she asked.</div> <div> "Were here to win a badge," Zane yelled.</div> <div> "Right," I said.</div> <div> "You are?" the gym leader said walking up to Zane.</div> <div> "Yes," Zane said</div> <div> "My name is Phil and I use ground Pokémon," he said.</div> <div> "My name is Zane Truall and I challenge you to a Pokémon match," Zane said.</div> <div> "Okay but we can only use 2 Pokémon no time limit," Phil said.</div> <div> "Good enough for me," he said.</div> <div> We walked to one side of the clay field and Phil went to the other side.</div> <div> "Okay I choose Marowak," Phil said throwing his Pokéball.</div> <div> "I will defeat any foe," it said.</div> <div> "What is a Marowak?" Zane said pulling out his Pokédex.</div> <div> <A Bonekeeper Pokémon. > The robotic voice said.  <Cubone's evolved form is quite a formidable Pokémon. Using its Bone Club and Bonemerang attacks, it can literally smash Pokémon. The bone it holds is it's key weapon. It's skillful use of bones as a makeshift boomerang has earned this Pokémon the nickname 'Bonekeeper'. According to legend, an angry mother Marowak, upset by the cruel deaths of her children, haunts Pokémon Tower. If you defeat her in battle, her spirit will finally be at peace. ></div> <div> "That didn't give me anything important," I said.</div> <div> "Sorry but I am going to start of with Pidgeotto," Zane said pulling out her Pokéball and throwing it.</div> <div> "Yes my dear," it said as it came out of the Pokéball.</div> <div> "Time to win us a battle use Gust," Zane yelled.</div> <div> It was Pidgeotto's first trainer battle and it was my first gym leader battle.</div> <div> "Okay then," it said shaking its wings back and forth creating a big gust of air.</div> <div> "Marowak use Bonemerang," Phil yelled.</div> <div> "Pidgeotto keep it up," Zane yelled.</div> <div> "Uhh," yelled Marowak as it threw its bone at Pidgeotto.  Pidgeotto saw the club and started to flap faster, but it seemed like Marowak had already accounted for the increase in the winds and the club hit Pidgeotto who stopped her attack.</div> <div> "Marowak use Skull Bash," Phil yelled.</div> <div> "Pidgeotto watch out for the returning club and use your Quick Attack," Zane yelled.</div> <div> "Good choice," Pidgeotto said.</div> <div> She ducked under the returning bone and dived as fast as she could, Marowak had already jumped up in the air with her head facing down.  Pidgeotto just disappeared right before she was about to collide with Marowak and hit the Pokémon from the side knocking the bone from its hands.  It landed on the floor with a loud clunk.</div> <div>  Marowak recovered from the attack and tried to pick up the bone its only weapon, but Pidgeotto was faster picking it up with her talons.</div> <div> "Give me back my weapon you inferior bird," was all the skull head could say.</div> <div> "Ha ha yea right," Pidgeotto said as she Tackled the Skull Pokémon.</div> <div> "Marowak forget the club use Hyperbeam," Phil yelled.</div> <div> Marowak started to charge up the attack as Pidgeotto flu higher to gain altitude.</div> <div> "Pidgeotto dive," Zane yelled.</div> <div> Pidgeotto dived straight down at Marowak who had just finished charging up its attack.</div> <div> "Now Hyperbeam," Phil yelled.</div> <div> "Pull up and drop the bone," Zane yelled.</div> <div> "Right," Pidgeotto yelled as she dropped the club creating her own Bonemerang attack.  The Hyperbeam skimmed off a few feather off Pidgeotto but the Marowak didn't even have time to see the Bone hit it square in the head knocking it out.</div> <div> "Uuuuuuhhh," was all it said as it passed out.</div> <div> "What?  Marowak return," Phil said still amazed that he was defeated again.</div> <div> "Go Donphan," he said throwing Donphans Pokéball.</div> <div> "Roll out time," it yelled.</div> <div> "What is that?" Zane said pulling out the Pokédex.</div> <div> <Donphan this Pokémon has sharp, hard tusks and a rugged hide. Its Tackle is strong enough to knock down a house. The longer and bigger it's tusks, the higher it's rank in its herd. The tusks take long to grow. ></div> <div> "Pidgeotto use Quick Attack," Zane yelled.</div> <div> "Right," the bird Pokémon said diving towards Donphan.</div> <div> "Donphan Rock Slide," Phil yelled.</div> <div> "Yes," Donphan said picking up a rock and throwing it at Pidgeotto who tried its hardest to dodge it but got hit directly.</div> <div> "Ahh," it yelled as it spun out of control and hit the ground.</div> <div> "What?" Zane said.</div> <div> "Ha ha ha your Pokémon do not stand a chance," Sara said.</div> <div> What is the big idea with her?  I mean it took her two weeks to win a badge with that giddy as a drunk Pokémon Cubone.</div> <div> "Pidgeotto return," Zane said calling Pidgeotto back.  "Go Cyndaquil!"</div> <div> I walked out into the field to face my opponent.</div> <div> "So this is the runt I have to battle," the Donphan said.  "Look it is even crippled this is going to be easy."</div> <div> "I wouldn't count on it," I said.</div> <div> "Donphan Tackle," Phil yelled to his Pokémon.</div> <div> "Cyndaquil use your speed and dodge it," Zane yelled.</div> <div> I jumped out of the way and landed on three of my feet this time because I remembered my cast.  Donphan landed headfirst where I was standing.</div> <div> "Hey I am over here," I said.</div> <div> "Donphan Rollout," I heared Phil yell.</div> <div> "Cyndaquil Swift," Zane yelled.</div> <div> Donphan started to roll towards me as I shot out the stars that hit Donphan but didn't slow him down.  I rolled away right when he was about to hit me.  He did a U-Turn and was coming back.</div> <div> "Quick Cyndaquil power up and use Flamethrower," Karl yelled.</div> <div> I concentrated but my flame wouldn't come on.</div> <div> "What is wrong?" Zane yelled.</div> <div> "Here I come," Donphan said hitting me into the air I did a half flip and landed on my back hard.</div> <div> "So much for the runt," Donphan said.</div> <div> I was really starting to get angry I righted myself and got back up.</div> <div> "Cyndaquil come on," Zane yelled.</div> <div> "Rock Slide," Phil yelled.</div> <div> "Ahh," I yelled as I powered up my flame and let out the biggest Flamethrower I could.</div> <div> Donphan threw a rock at me right as he got hit with the fire I was so tired I didn't have time to move out the way as I got hit and blacked out.</div> <div> When I awoken Zane was holding me walking.</div> <div> "What?" I said confused.</div> <div> "You are up," he said.  "Good right after you got knocked out the match was a tie so I didn't win I brought you back to the Pokémon Center and Nurse Joy healed you but keep you under anesthetics so you wouldn't wake up with a big headache."</div> <div> "Well it didn't work," I said my head was pounding.</div> <div> "I called Professor Coy," he continued.  "He said that the next gym was totaled because of a Team Rocket/Team Delta gang war so we are going to head back to my house and train."</div> <div> "I don't care," I said looking around, and guess whom I saw Sara and her Cubone.</div> <div> "What is she doing here?" I yelled.</div> <div> "Huh?" Zane said turning around.  "Sara decided to tag along."</div> <div> "Oh man," I said.</div> <div> We walked for a long time and Sara managed to capture a Sentret, Zane caught a Nidoran Male.</div> <div> "Pidgeotto return," he said calling back the Pokémon and pulling out his Pokédex.</div> <div> <Nidoran A Poison Pin Pokémon. Nidoran, one of the few two-gender Pokémon, attack other Pokémon with poisonous barbs that portrude from their backs. The larger it's horns, the more powerful it's secreted venom. Male Nidoran stiffen their ears when they sense danger. ></div> <div> "My Pokémon is a lot better," Sara said pulling out her Pokédex.</div> <div> <Sentret A very cautious Pokémon, it raises itself up using it's tail to get a better view of it's surroundings. It stands on its tail so it can see a long way. If it spots an enemy, it cries loudly to warn it's kind. ></div> <div> "Hey you can't judge a Pokémon by its cover," Zane said. I agree with him.</div> <div> "If that is so I challenge you to a Pokémon Battle," Sara said.  "We use our new Pokémon."</div> <div> "Good with me," Zane said pulling out his Pokéball with Nidoran in it.</div> <div> "Pokéball go!" they yelled throwing there Pokéballs.</div> <div> "Hey," Sentret said</div> <div> "Yes," the Nidoran said.</div> <div> "All right Nidoran use…ummm…hold on," he said pulling out his Pokédex.  "What are this Nidodrans attacks?" he asked.</div> <div> <Leer > the Pokédex said.</div> <div> "Nidoran use the Leer," Zane yelled.</div> <div> "Right," it said staring at Sentret.</div> <div> "Sentret use Slam," Sara yelled.</div> <div> Sentret ran as fast as it could jump up in the air and hit Nidoran then bounced off and landed on its tail.</div> <div> "Nidoran use Tackle," Zane yelled.</div> <div> Nidoran ran towards Sentret.</div> <div> "Sentret, jump," Sara yelled.</div> <div> Sentret jump up in the air by using its tail, and Nidoran's attack missed.</div> <div> "Nidoran Poison Sting," Zane yelled.</div> <div> Nidoran shot out a lot of stingers from his mouth that hit Sentret right in the stomach.</div> <div> "Sentret," Sara yelled as her Pokémon hit the ground and slowly got back up.</div> <div> "Uhh, I am not going to lose," the Pokémon said slowly getting up.</div> <div> "I will finish it off," Nidoran said running towards Sentret.</div> <div> "Fury Swipes," Sara yelled.</div> <div> Nidoran would have hit Sentret if she had not used her tail to jump straight up in the air.  With Nidoran confused she came down right in front of her and slashed her across the face about 5 times before Nidoran fell down fainted.</div> <div> "What?" Zane yelled.</div> <div> "Ha we win," Sara said running up to Sentret and picking it up.</div> <div> "I will never lose," was all Sentret said.</div> <div> "Can't believe I lost to her," Zane said.</div> <div> "You okay Nidoran," I said running up to him.</div> <div> "Yes," the Pokémon said weakly.</div> <div> "Return Nidoran," Zane said calling him back.</div> <div> "Ha I won you lost," Sara said.</div> <div> "I'll win next time," Zane said.</div> <div> We continued walking until we me the Pokémon Center that I was healed in.</div> <div> "Okay lets go in and heal up Nidoran," Zane said looking at me then a Sara.</div> <div> "Please I am going to battle some other trainer around here," she said leaving us.</div> <div> We walked inside the Pokémon Center to find Nurse Joy standing there waiting.</div> <div> "Huh?" Zane said.</div> <div> "Professor Coy told me you were coming I decided to be ready," she said petting me on the head.</div> <div> "Don't worry it is only my Nidoran who is hurt he," he said handing her Nidoran's Pokéball.</div> <div> "I will send Chansey to deliver the Pokémon to the lab you need to go on a head," Nurse Joy said.  "The Professor is waiting for you."</div> <div> "Okay you hear that Cyndaquil," Zane said.</div> <div> "Of course I heard it I have ear you know," I said.</div> <div> We walked to the lab and when we got there guess who was there…</div> <div> "Sara," Zane yelled.</div> <div> "Hey I decided to see why Professor Coy has called you to his lab," she said walking inside.</div> <div> "No you don't," Zane said running inside after her but when we got inside...</div> <div> "Yes Uncle Coy I caught a Cubone and a Sentret," Sara said.</div> <div> "What?" Both Zane and me said confused.</div> <div> "Ohh Zane you have arrived," Professor Coy said.</div> <div> "Yeah and Zane was tagging along with me to "try" and beat me," she said putting an emphasis of try.</div> <div> "Hey you two are related," Zane said.</div> <div> "Why yes," Professor Coy said.  "It just that your mother never told me you were coming." He said addressing Sara.</div> <div> "My mom sent me here to get my first Pokémon," Sara said.</div> <div> "But I don't have any more Pokémon to give you," he said.</div> <div> "That is when I captured Cubone with out the help of another Pokémon," Sara said.</div> <div> "That is great," the professor said.</div> <div> "Hey what's up kid," Butterfree said appearing from the back.</div> <div> "Butterfree," the Professor said pressing a button on his watch.</div> <div> ^Yes^ the watch said saying what Butterfree said. (But in Pokémon language)</div> <div> "What is that?" Zane asked.</div> <div> "Oh it is Pokégear," the Professor said.  "I designed and built it but haven't perfected the translator."</div> <div> "Cool Cynadquil say something," Zane said.</div> <div> ^What^ I said to Pokégear translated.</div> <div> "Wow could I get one uncle," Sara said.</div> <div> "I am so sorry but I haven't had the time to make anymore," he said.</div> <div> "Man," Zane said.</div> <div> "Okay Zane I called you here to run a errand for me," he said walking to the back.  "Come with me," he said.</div> <div> "Cyndaquil you stay here and hang out with Butterfree," Zane said putting me down on the floor and following the professor Sara was right behind him.</div> <div> "So has the professor found it?"
