Jewel whispered in my ear.</div> <div> "How am I suppose to know," I said taking a bite of my sandwich.  We had stop to rest on our way to Vermillion City.</div> <div> "I know," Keith said picking up Chikorita and playing with her leaf.</div> <div> "I wouldn't do that if I were you?" I said.</div> <div> Chikorita pulled out her two vines and smacked Keith in the head causing him to let go.</div> <div> "Oww is that how you train your Pokémon?" he said.</div> <div> "What is that suppose to mean?" I said making sure Chikorita is okay.</div> <div> ^I'm fine^ she said walking away into the bushes upset.</div> <div> "Look at that they don't even listen to you," Keith said.</div> <div> "Listen you train your way I train my way," I said.</div> <div> "Why were you doing that with Chikorita?" Jewel asked.</div> <div> "I was testing to see which way the wind was blowing," he answered.</div> <div> "Why would you do that?" I said still upset.</div> <div> "To figure out the way to Vermillion City," he said.</div> <div> "That is what a map is for," she said.</div> <div> "Yeah I can use that but as a Bill's Tournament Champion I must master the art of winging it," he said showing off his Trophy as his Pinsir and his other Pokémon struck a pose.</div> <div> "Yeah so what?" a girl said appearing out of the bushes she had Chikorita in her hands.</div> <div> "Hey what are you doing with my Chikorita," I said running up and yanking the Pokémon out of her hands.</div> <div> "Nothing I just love grass type Pokémon," she said.  "Hi I'm Veronica but you can call me Venny."</div> <div> "Hi Venny nice to meet you," Jewel said.</div> <div> "I was walking through here when I heard someone say they have bug Pokémon?" she said.</div> <div> "Yes that was me," Keith said.</div> <div>  "I have some too," I said.</div> <div> "Well I just hate bug Pokémon and I don't like the fact when people tell me that grass Pokémon are weaker than them," she said pulling out a Pokéball.  " I challenge the both of you to a Pokémon match."</div> <div> "Ha ha ha," Keith said laughing.</div> <div> "What is so funny?" she said.</div> <div> "Grass Pokémon <B>are</B> weaker than bug Pokémon and you are looking at this years winner of Bill's Bug Battle Tournament," Keith said showing her his trophy.</div> <div> "So what, I tried to enter the tournament but I couldn't because I have only grass Pokémon.  Bill said that `I would be in a disadvantage'."</div> <div> "Yes you would have, so are you ready to have our match?" Keith asked pulling out a Pokéball.</div> <div> After they got on opposite sides of the meadow they called out their first Pokémon.</div> <div> "Go Pinsir," Keith said letting out his Pokémon.</div> <div> "Pin," the Pokémon said.</div> <div> "Go," Venny said throwing her Pokéball.</div> <div> "Gloom," the Pokémon said.</div> <div> "Gloom," I said pulling out my Pokédex.</div> <div> <Gloom A Weed Pokémon. Its leaves turn red and its head grows a mushroom like structure. Like most grass Pokémon, Gloom can't move very well. But it doesn't have to move with attacks like Poison Powder and Stun Spore. The fluid that oozes from its mouth isn't drool. It is nectar that is used to attract prey. When Gloom feels as if it's in danger, it starts to smell…bad. Once Gloom is exposed to the leaf stone, it will evolve in Vileplume. ></div> <div> "This is going to be easy," Keith said.</div> <div> "I don't think so," Venny said.</div> <div> "Pinsir Slash attack," Keith yelled.</div> <div> Pinsir ran up to slash Gloom.</div> <div> "Gloom Acid," Venny yelled.</div> <div> "Gloom," the Pokémon said spitting out the Acid that flew right in Pinsir eyes stopping the Pokémon.</div> <div> "Pinsir," it yelled trying to clean its eyes to no avail.</div> <div> "Gloom Petal Dance," Venny yelled.</div> <div> "Pinsir," was all Keith could yell as it got hit with the pinks leafs knocking it out.</div> <div> "Ha ha I win," Venny said running up to her Gloom and petting it.</div> <div> "Pinsir return," Keith said calling back the Pokémon.</div> <div> "So you haven't mastered the art of `winging it' huh?" Jewel said laughing.</div> <div> "That not fair lets have a rematch," Keith yelled across the field to her.</div> <div> "Okay then Pokémon go," she said throwing another Pokéball.</div> <div> "Go Butterfree," Keith yelled throwing his Pokéball.</div> <div> "Free."</div> <div> "Weepinbell."</div> <div> "A Weepinbell," I said pointing my Pokédex at the Pokémon.</div> <div> <Weepinbell A Flycatcher Pokémon. Found in southeast parts of the world, Weepinbell is the second evolution of Bellsprout. Weepinbell is like a banana with leaves and uses the same attacks as Bell Sprout. It spit's out Poison Powder to immobilize the enemy and then finishes it with a spray of Acid. Weepinbell can use its Growth ability to increase the power of its special attacks, like Poison Powder. Its final evolution will result in the use of the leaf stone on Weepinbell. ></div> <div> "I underestimated you once but not this time Butterfree use Tackle," Keith commanded.</div> <div> "Weepinbell Slam it," Venny yelled.</div> <div> The two Pokémon collided head on bouncing off each other.</div> <div> "She has some strong grass type Pokémon," Jewel said.</div> <div> "Yeah," I said taking my attention off the battle to glance at Chikorita who was watching the battle intensely.</div> <div> "Butterfree Sleep Powder," Keith yelled.</div> <div> "Use Razor Leaf," Venny commanded.</div> <div> The blue powder was getting close to Weepinbell when it used Razor Leaf by spinning around and blowing the sleep powder back at Butterfree.</div> <div> "Butterfree Gust," Keith yelled.</div> <div> "Free," his Butterfree said as it started to flap its wings at an incredibly speed blowing the Sleep Powder and Razor Leaf away.</div> <div> "Weepinbell Acid," Venny yelled.</div> <div> "Butterfree dodge it," Keith yelled.</div> <div> Butterfree tried to fly out of the way of the attack but it hit him on its left wing causing him to fall to the ground.</div> <div> "Butterfree," Keith yelled.</div> <div> "Finish it off with a Slam," Venny yelled.</div> <div> Weepinbell came down with a slam knocking Butterfree out.</div> <div> "No I lost," Keith said calling back his Butterfree.</div> <div> "I told you so now it's your turn to lose," Venny said turning to me.</div> <div> "Okay," I said walking over to where Keith was standing.</div> <div> "Lets go 2 on 2," she said.</div> <div> "Okay," I said throwing my first Pokéball.</div> <div> "Venonat," my Pokémon said.</div> <div> "Eww a Venonat," she said.</div> <div> "Hey leave Shadow alone," I said.</div> <div> "Chris, you better win," Keith said to me.</div> <div> "Don't worry about it," I said.</div> <div> "You ready for another round Weepinbell?" Venny asked.</div> <div> "Bell," the Pokémon said nodding its head.</div> <div> "Good now Razor Leaf," she yelled.</div> <div> "Shadow don't let this one fool you use Confusion," I yelled.</div> <div> "Veno," the Pokémon said as its eyes glowed yellow.</div> <div> Weepinbell went to shoot out the Razor Leaf then stopped and started jumping up and down.</div> <div> "Weepinbell snap out of it use Vine Whip," she yelled.</div> <div> "Bell??" the Pokémon said still confused shot out a poorly aimed Vine Whip missing Shadow by a mile, my plan was working.</div> <div> "No don't let that bug beat you use Stun Spore," she yelled.</div> <div> "Shadow use Teleport," I yelled.</div> <div> "Bell??" the still confused Weepinbell let out a Stun Spore in the wrong direction behind her. Shadow had already teleported but in the same place the Stun Spore was getting in gulfed in it and paralyzed.</div> <div> "Man return," I said calling back my paralyzed Pokémon.</div> <div> "Good job Weepinbell," she said calling back her Pokémon.</div> <div> "Boy she tuff," Jewel said.  "She defeated both of your Pokémon and the already defeat one of Chris's.</div> <div> "He better not use Beedrill it isn't at a high enough level," Keith said.</div> <div> He was right I couldn't win with Beedrill because it's not strong enough.</div> <div> "Time to fight grass with grass," I said.</div> <div> "HUH?" Venny yelled.</div> <div> "Never mind go Chikorita," I yelled.</div> <div> "Yes he using his grass Pokémon," Venny said sounding happy.  "I Choose you," she yelled throwing a Pokéball.</div> <div> "Bulba," the Pokémon said coming out of its Pokéball.</div> <div> "A Bulbasaur just like Karl's," I said pulling out my Pokédex.</div> <div> <BulbasaurA Seed Pokémon. One of three Pokémon offered when you are starting out. Bulbasaur is a strong, manageable Pokémon for beginning trainers. Bulbasaur is in better shape than the other beginning Pokémon like Charmander and Squirtle, which makes it harder to defeat and capture. A strange seed was planted on it's back at birth. The plant grows and sprouts as this Pokémon grows. Scientists are unsure whether to classify Bulbasaur as a plant or animal. ></div> <div> "All right Bulbasaur Razor Leaf," she yelled.</div> <div> "Chikorita show them your Razor Leaf," I yelled.</div> <div> "Bulbasaur," the Pokémon said shooting out Vine Whip.</div> <div> "Chika," my Pokémon said shooting out Razor Leaf.</div> <div> Bulbasaur blocked all the leafs.</div> <div> "Bulbasaur I said Razor Leaf not Vine Whip," Venny said yelling to her Pokémon.</div> <div> "Ha I cant believe it her Bulbasaur doesn't obey her," Keith said laughing at her until Jewel punched him in the shoulder.</div> <div> "It is not funny," she said.</div> <div> <Bulbasaur can be an extremely stubborn Pokémon> my Pokédex said.</div> <div> "Lets continue," Venny yelled.</div> <div> "I don't think-" I started to say but she yelled out a command.</div> <div> "Bulbasaur Tackle," she yelled.</div> <div> "Bulb," the Pokémon said yawning and going to sleep.</div> <div> Keith started laughing again this time louder.</div> <div> "Bulbasaur get up," she yelled.</div> <div> "I think we should stop the battle," I said.</div> <div> "Okay but that doesn't mean you win," she said pulling out her Pokéball to call back her Bulbasaur, but Bulbasaur woke saw this and use his vine to knock the Pokéball out of her hand.</div> <div> "Bulbasaur," she yelled.</div> <div> "Just leave it," Keith said, he had stopped laughing.</div> <div> "Man," she said.</div> <div> We sat down and decided to talk about her Bulbasaur.  Chikorita was trying to get Bulbasaur to talk but all it did was stare into space.</div> <div> "How long have you had Bulbasaur?" Jewel asked.</div> <div> "He was my first Pokémon," she said.</div> <div> "Has he always acted like this?" I asked.</div> <div> "No he was the best Pokémon I ever had that is how I got to like grass Pokémon," she said.  "He saved me from a swarm of Beedrill."</div> <div> "When did he start acting like this?" Keith asked.</div> <div> "The night before it stopped obeying me we were in bed sleeping, he always slept next to me.  I woke up in the middle of the night to find him not there after I searched the house I found that he was trying to go out through the front door," she said remembering what had happen.  "His bulb was glowing like a night light.  I got scared thinking it would run away so I recalled it to its Pokéball."</div> <div> "So its bulb was glowing so what?" Keith said.</div> <div> "Ignore him he is just upset that you beat him," Jewel said.</div> <div> "Right, anyway the next day I was fighting someone in a match and decided to use Bulbasaur I call him out and his Bulb wasn't glowing but when I asked it to attack it look at me and went to sleep I don't know why."</div> <div> "And it hasn't been obeying you ever since?" I asked.</div> <div> "Yes," she said disappointed.</div> <div> "There must have been a reason why Bulbasaur stop obeying you," I said.</div> <div> All of a sudden a big net appeared out of nowhere and fell on us.</div> <div> "Ahh," Jewel yelled.</div> <div> "Fire again," a familiar voice said.</div> <div> A net appeared around Bulbasaur and Chikorita.</div> <div> "It could only be Team Rocket," Keith said.</div> <div> "Prepare for trouble because you are right," Melissa said.</div> <div> "Make it double cause we didn't have to fight," Matthew said.</div> <div> "Melissa."</div> <div> "Matthew."</div> <div> "Team Rocket caught a Pokémon in there net," Melissa said.</div> <div> "Now we have some new pets," Matthew said.</div> <div> "That's right," they said finishing their motto.</div> <div> "Give me back my Bulbasaur," Venny said trying to get out of the net.</div> <div> "How about no," Melissa said throwing the net with Bulbasaur and Chikorita in a cage.</div> <div> "Team Rocket you won't get away with this," I yelled.</div> <div> "Actually we can," Matthew said going behind some bushes then reappearing with two motorcycles one had a side cart.</div> <div> "Ha ha see you later," they said placing Chikorita and Bulbasaur in the side cart and taking off.</div> <div> "We need to get out of here," I said.</div> <div> "I know my Beedrill," Keith said pulling out the Pokéball and releasing the Pokémon.</div> <div> "Beedrill," it yelled.</div> <div> "Beedrill cut us out," Keith said.</div> <div> "Rill," the Pokémon said cutting us out.</div> <div> "Good now my Beedrill," I said releasing the Pokémon.</div> <div> "Find Team Rocket," Keith yelled.</div> <div> "You heard him," I said as our two Beedrill took off in the direction of Team Rocket.</div> <div> "Now what?" Venny asked.</div> <div> "Now we ride Rhyhorn express," I said throwing his Pokéball.</div> <div> "Rhy," the Pokémon said.</div> <div> "Okay Rhy," I said nicknaming it.  "You think you can carry both of us," I said turning on my translator.</div> <div> ^Yeah man I mean its no problem dawg^ Rhy said.</div> <div> "Okay…" I said hopping on and then helping Venny.  "We will go up ahead you to catch up."</div> <div> "Good luck," Keith said.</div> <div> "Don't worry we will come back with both Bulbasaur and Chikorita," Venny said.</div> <div> "Okay go," I yelled.</div> <div> ^Aight^ Rhy said taking off after Team Rocket.</div> <div> "Rhy we need to go faster," I said.</div> <div> ^You need to lose some weight^ he said.</div> <div> "Okay never mind," I said.</div> <div> "Look," Venny said pointing into the sky Keith Beedrill came flying towards us.</div> <div> "You found them," I yelled.</div> <div> ^Yes right up ahead in a meadow^ it said.</div> <div> "Fly up ahead and keep them busy," I said.</div> <div> ^Okay^ it said taking off.</div> <div> When we got there I saw my Beedrill trying to dodge the Flamethrower of Melissa's Arcanine but got hit directly falling down fainted.</div> <div> "Rhy Horn Attack," I yelled.</div> <div> The Pokémon hit Arcanine knocking it over but not knocking it out.  I jumped off Rhyhorn and called back Beedrill.  Keith's Beedrill was also knocked out; I ran over to it and picked it up.</div> <div> "Give me back my Bulbasaur," Venny yelled.</div> <div> "What are you going to do," Melissa said getting off the motorcycle.</div> <div> "Go," Venny said throwing the rest of her Pokémon.</div> <div> "Weepinbell."</div> <div> "Gloom."</div> <div> They both looked exhausted from battle.</div> <div> "Arcanine Flamethrower," Melissa yelled.</div> <div> Arcanine let out a huge flamethrower knocking them out.</div> <div> "Return," she said calling back her Pokémon.</div> <div> "Ha ha such weak Pokémon," Melissa said.</div> <div> "Rhy Take Down," I yelled.</div> <div> "Rhy," the Pokémon said charging Arcanine.</div> <div> "Low Kick," Matthew yelled but I didn't see his Primeape anywhere but it appeared out of the bushes hitting Rhy in its front legs causing to trip and fly into a tree head first getting knocked out.</div> <div> "Rhy return," I said calling back my Pokémon.</div> <div> "Ha ha you lose," they said laughing.</div> <div> "Bulbasaur try using Razor Leaf," Venny yelled.</div> <div> "Saur," the Pokémon said shaking its head.</div> <div> "Come on Chikorita you can break out with Razor Leaf," I yelled.</div> <div> "Chika," she yelled using the Razor Leafs but they didn't break.</div> <div> "Give it up, Primape Low Kick," Matthew yelled.</div> <div> "Prime," the Pokémon yelled flying towards us.</div> <div> "Bulba," Bulbasaur said as it started to glow.</div> <div> "It's evolving," Venny said.</div> <div> When it stopped glowing it was an evolved Ivysaur and because of the evolvution the Pokémon got bigger breaking the cage.</div> <div> "Wow Ivysaur," Venny said.</div> <div> "Watch out, Primeape," I yelled.</div> <div> "Ivy," the Pokémon said tackling Primeape who flew back and crashed into Arcanine.</div> <div> "Ivysaur Solarbeam," Venny yelled.</div> <div> "Get your fainted Pokémon off my Arcanine," Melissa yelled.</div> <div> "Okay," Matthew said pulling out his Pokéball, but Ivysaur was already charged with Solarbeam it released the attack hitting Team Rocket.</div> <div> "Ahhhh," they yelled as they disappeared out of view.</div> <div> "All right Ivysaur," Venny yelled running up and hugging her Pokémon.</div> <div> I pulled out my Pokédex to check the information on Ivysaur, <Ivysaur A Seed Pokémon. Pokémon that have two elements, like Ivysaur and Venusaur, have twice as many strengths and weaknesses as other Pokémon. When the bulb on it's back grows large, it appears to loose it's ability to stand on it's hind legs. ></div> <div> "Guys we're here," Keith and Jewel yelled appearing about 10 minutes to late.</div> <div> "Beedrill," Keith said running up to his Pokémon.</div> <div> "It got beat up by Team Rocket," I said.</div> <div> "And my Bulbasaur evolved to save the day," Venny said.</div> <div> ^Could someone get me out of here^ Chikorita said who was still in the cage.</div> <bR> <bR> </td> </tr></table></body>
