I asked.</div> <div> ^Don't you remember you have to call your parents^ she said.</div> <div> "Right," I said as I quickly walked back inside the Pokémon Center.</div> <div> "What is wrong?" Nurse Joy asked confused to see me back in the Pokémon Center so soon.</div> <div> "I have to call my parents," I quickly answered.</div> <div> "Oh, the Vidphones are on the back wall on your left," Nurse Joy said.</div> <div> "I found them," I yelled down the hall.</div> <div> I quickly dialed my home phone number and waited for it to ring.  It rang once twice then…</div> <div> "Hello," my mom said.  "Chris are you in Pewter City yet?" she asked.</div> <div> "Yeah remember you said to call when I get there," I said.</div> <div> "Hi Chika," she said to Chika.</div> <div> ^Hi^ Chika said back.</div> <div> "I am going to challenge the gym leader now so I better go," I said.</div> <div> "Okay and good luck," she said I hung up.</div> <div> It took about 3 minutes to get to the gym.  It wasn't far from the Pokémon Center.  While we were walking Chika and I talked.</div> <div> "So you think I should start the battle off with Bubbles," I said.</div> <div> ^Yeah she has the biggest advantage^ Chika said.</div> <div> "Yeah," I said as we approach the gym.</div> <div> ^So this is the Pewter City gym^ Chika said looking at the building.</div> <div> "Let go inside," I had already opened the door.</div> <div> When we got inside there was a kid fighting the gym leader Kim.</div> <div> "Rattata use your Tackle," the kid said.</div> <div> "Golem use your Body Slam," Kim told the Golem.</div> <div> The two Pokémon hit head on but Rattata got hurt because it had a disadvantage against rock types.</div> <div> "Rattata get back up," the kid who was about the same age as me said.</div> <div> "Rat ta ta," said the Pokémon tired.</div> <div> "Quick use Water Gun," he said to his Pokémon.</div> <div> "Golem Rollout," Kim said.</div> <div> "Goll," said the Pokémon as it rolled towards Rattata as Rattata shot out its Water Gun it hitting the rolling rock Golem hit Rattata knocking it down.</div> <div> "Rattata get back up now!" the boy yelled to his Pokémon.</div> <div> "It is over Kyle," Kim said.</div> <div> "Rat," said Rattata moaned as it stood up.</div> <div> "Bubblebeam," Kyle yelled at his Pokémon.</div> <div> "Watch out Golem Rollout," Kim told his Pokémon.</div> <div> What is that kid doing is he out of his mind?</div> <div> "Ra," yelled Rattata as it fell down because it was too tired.</div> <div> "Golem stop," Kim quickly yelled but her Pokémon could not stop.</div> <div> If it doesn't stop it will crush the Rattata.</div> <div> "Chika use Vine Whip to redirect Golem," I said to Chika.</div> <div> "Chika."</div> <div> It shot out it Vines and hit Golem away inches away from Rattata.</div> <div> "What is the big idea?" Kyle screamed at me as he recalled his Rattata and stormed out of the gym.</div> <div> "Golem return," Kim said.</div> <div> She walked over to me.</div> <div> "Thank you," she said.</div> <div> "For what?" I said.</div> <div> "Saving the Rattata," she said.</div> <div> "That Kyle needs some help," I said.</div> <div> "Yeah he treats his Pokémon too mean," she said.</div> <div> "I am here to challenge you," I said.</div> <div> "I know but can't we battle later my Golem needs to rest," she said.</div> <div> "Okay I guess," I said.</div> <div> "Chiko," said Chika a little disappointed.</div> <div> <B>Back at the Pokémon Center…</B></div> <bR> <div> "I challenge you to a match," a tall skinny kid that looked about my age said to me.</div> <div> "Okay, I accept your challenge but we have to battle outside," I said getting up from my seat and walking outside.</div> <div> "How many Pokémon can we use," he said.</div> <div> "How about three?" I said.</div> <div> "Good then I choose," he said throwing his Pokéball.</div> <div> "Nidoran," said the purplish looking Pokémon.</div> <div> I pulled out my Pokédex.</div> <div> <Nidoran Female A mild-mannered Pokémon that does not like to fight. Beware; its small horns secrete venom. ></div> <div> "All right I choose," I threw my Pokéball.</div> <div> "Mar Marril," said the water mouse.</div> <div> "Whoa nice Marril," the kid said.</div> <div> "Thanks now let's start," I said.</div> <div> "Bubbles use your Tackle attack," I said.</div> <div> "Nidoran use your Tackle," the kid said.</div> <div> The two Pokémon hit each other head on.</div> <div> "Nidoran poison sting," he said.</div> <div> Nidoran tried to hit Bubbles with its horn but Bubbles moved out of the way.</div> <div> "Bubbles use your Water Gun," I quickly yelled.</div> <div> Bubbles let out a stream of water that hit Nidoran.  The pressure moved Nidoran against the wall of the Pokémon Center.</div> <div> "Nidoran Thunderbolt," the trainer yelled to his Pokémon.</div> <div> The Thunderbolt attack used the water as a connection from Nidoran to Bubbles.  It was a good move it fainted Bubbles and it hurt Nidoran really bad.</div> <div> "Bubbles return," I yelled.</div> <div> "Maaa," said the Pokémon it was tired.</div> <div> "Chikorita," yelled Chika running into battle.</div> <div> "You want to battle huh," I said.</div> <div> "Nidoran tackle," tall skinny said.</div> <div> "Chika Sweet Scent," I yelled.</div> <div> Chika sent out its Pink Powder.  Nidoran stopped in its tracks and smelled the nice smell just like I wanted.</div> <div> "Finish it with Vine Whip," I quickly yelled.</div> <div> The tall skinny didn't even have time to yell out a command his Pokémon was out cold.</div> <div> "Return," a red beam shot out to call back his Pokéball.</div> <div> "Way to go Chika," I said.</div> <div> "Go Beedrill," he said.</div> <div> That would be a hard fight for Chika.</div> <div> "Beedrill Poison Sting," he yelled.</div> <div> "Reflect," I quickly yelled.</div> <div> The bug Pokémon tried to hit Chika with its poison sting but the protective shield.</div> <div> "Beedrill hit it with a Hyperbeam," tall skinny said.</div> <div> Good attack but it has its disadvantages.</div> <div> "Chika Razor Leaf attack," I yelled.</div> <div> Chika Razor Leafs were a lot faster than the slow but very powerful Hyperbeam.  The Razor Leaf hurt Beedrill and caused it to stop its attack.  Not a very welled trained.</div> <div> "Beedrill try again," tall skinny said.</div> <div> "Chika grab its stingers with your Vine Whip and slam Beedrill to the floor," I quickly ordered.</div> <div> That was all it took Chika won and tall skinny lost.</div> <div> I was heading back in the Pokémon Center when…</div> <div> "Help, get away," a girls voice said.</div> <div> I quickly followed the voice and I found myself in an alley with a cute girl and a Pokémon.</div> <div> "Hey," I yelled the Pokémon turned around.</div> <bR> <div> "Pinsir," it said.</div> <div> <Pinsir If it fails to crush the victim in its pincers, it will swing it around and toss it hard. ></div> <div> "Chikorita," yelled Chika as it tackled the Pokémon.</div> <div> "Go," I threw a Pokéball at Pinsir but it wasn't to capture the Pokémon but the Pokémon didn't know that.</div> <div> "Venonat," yelled my Pokémon.</div> <div> "Sleep Powder," I quickly yelled.</div> <div> Pinsir fell asleep on impact with the sleep powder.</div> <div> The girl threw her Pokéball at the Pokémon catching it.</div> <div> <B>Back at the Pokémon Center…</B></div> <bR> <div> I had given Nurse Joy all of my Pokémon to heal.</div> <div> "Yeah that Pinsir is mine," the girl said.</div> <div> "Doesn't listen does it?" I asked.</div> <div> "No I got it from a stranger he said that he couldn't take care of it," she said.</div> <div> "My name is Chris and yours?" I asked.</div> <div> "Mine is Jewel," she said.</div> <div> "So what are you going to do about that Pinsir?" I asked.</div> <div> "I don't know?" she said.</div> <div> "Hmm," I said then I got an idea.</div> <div> "Why don't you give it to me?" we said at the same time.</div> <div> We laughed at the same time.</div> <div> "What I really mean was," I said a little embarrassed.</div> <div> "That I should give it to you because you can," she said interrupting me.</div> <div> "Give it to my Professor," I said.</div> <div> "Yeah," she said.</div> <div> "That way we are safe from that raging Pinsir," I said.</div> <div> Yeah lets do it," she said.</div> <div> "Wait?" I said stopping her.  "How did you know I have a professor?"</div> <div> "The Pokédex," she said.  "Most people get their first Pokédex from a professor."</div> <div> "Right," I said.</div> <div> She is very observant.</div> <div> I called the professor and his face appeared on the vidphone.</div> <div> "Chris how are things?" the professor said.</div> <div> "Hi professor," I said.</div> <div> "Hey who is this lovely young lady?" the professor said.  "Way to go Chris," he said winking at me.</div> <div> I blushed and so did Jewel.</div> <div> "This is Jewel I saved her from a out of control Pinsir," I said.</div> <div> "Nice to meet you Jewel," the professor said.</div> <div> "Hi Professor," she said.</div> <div> "So professor how is Beedrill," I said.</div> <div> "Your Beedrill is very energetic and is providing good information for my research," the professor said.</div> <div> "Professor I need you to hold Jewel's out of control Pinsir for us for a while," I said.</div> <div> "A disobedient Pokémon would be good for my research," the professor said.</div> <div> "Let start the transfer," I said to Jewel as she placed the Pokéball on the transfer slot.</div> <div> A white light surrounded the Pokéball and it disappeared.</div> <div> "Got it," the professor said showing the Pokéball to us.</div> <div> "Thanks," I said.</div> <div> "Chris," Nurse Joy said.</div> <div> I turned around.</div> <div> "Your Pokémon are healed now," she said.</div> <div> "Got to go professor have to go win my first badge," I said.</div> <div> "Bye," the professor said.</div> <div> "Want to watch me win a badge?" I asked Jewel hoping she would come along.</div> <div> "Yes," she said looking into my eyes.</div> <div> <B>At the gym…</B></div> <bR> <div> "I am ready to battle," Kim said across the Pokémon gym.  "And I see you brought a friend."</div> <div> "How many Pokémon," I said getting ready.</div> <div> "Two," she said.</div> <div> "Go Bubbles," I said throwing the Pokéball.</div> <div> "Good choice go Rhyhorn," she said the rock Pokémon exploded from its Pokéball.</div> <div> "Rhy," it yelled.</div> <div> "Whoa," Jewel yelled.</div> <div> I pulled out my Pokédex.</div> <div> <Rhyhorn Its massive bones are 1000 times harder than human bones. It can easily knock a trailer flying. ></div> <div> "Great," I said.</div> <div> "Rhyhorn, Take Down," Kim yelled.</div> <div> "Bubbles Water Gun," I yelled.</div> <div> Rhyhorn charged at Bubbles as it shot out its Water Gun it his Rhyhorn and hurt it but it keep charging hitting Bubbles sending it flying into me.  I caught her but the force knocked me down.</div> <div> "Bubbles are you okay," I said.</div> <div> "Sorry about that," she said.</div> <div> "Are you okay?" Jewel asked.</div> <div> "Yeah," I said.</div> <div> "Ma Marril," the water mouse said.</div> <div> "Rhyhorn try Take Down again," she said.</div> <div> "Bubbles lets use jump out of the way and use Bubblebeam," I said.</div> <div> Bubbles dodge out of the way just before Rhyhorn hit her and shot its Bubblebeam on the soft hid of Rhyhorn.</div> <div> "Rhyhorn Horn Drill," Kim yelled.</div> <div> "Bubbles use Ice Beam," I yelled to my Pokémon.</div> <div> Rhyhorn almost would have won except it got frozen solid by Bubbles Ice Beam.</div> <div> "Rhyhorn return," Kim said calling back her Pokémon.</div> <div> "ALL RIGHT GO CHRIS," Jewel yelled.</div> <div> I smiled at her she smiled back.</div> <div> "Go Golem," Kim yelled.</div> <div> "Bubbles use Blizzard," I yelled.</div> <div> "Golem Rollout," Kim yelled.</div> <div> It was over the Blizzard attack hurt Golem but it didn't stop it from running over Bubbles.  I called the Pokémon back.</div> <div> "Chika your up," I said looking at my Pokémon.</div> <div> "Golem Rollout," Kim yelled.</div> <div> "Chika use your Vine Whip," I yelled.</div> <div> Golem rolled towards Chika but the vines defected it.</div> <div> "Rock Throw," Kim yelled.</div> <div> "Chika use Vine Whip," I said.</div> <div> Again Golem tried to attack but the vines kept any attacks from reaching Chika.  I really need to attack offensively not defensibly.</div> <div> "Chika use your Razor Leaf," I yelled.</div> <div> "Golem," Kim yelled.  "Fire Blast."</div> <div> "Chika change attack Reflect," I yelled.</div> <div> Another defensive move.</div> <div> The Fire Blast wasn't as strong as I thought and made it easy for Chika to protect itself.</div> <div> "Golem, Take Down," Kim yelled.</div> <div> "Chika use Hidden Power," I yelled.</div> <div> And whatever Chika's hidden power it was powerful enough to knock out Golem.  I was surprised Kim was surprised and so was Jewel.  I think even Chika was surprised.</div> <div> "Here you go," Kim said handing me the badge it was a gray diamond looking badge.</div> <div> "It is the Boulder Badge," Kim said.</div> <div> "Our first badge," I said showing it to Chika and to Jewel.</div> <div> It was the happiest day of my life.</div> <bR> </td> </tr></table></body>
