Chris Pokémon Adventure

Authors note:  This story takes place after Karl helped his friend Chris get his first Pokémon.  So this is Chris's Journey in Kanto League.

Chapter 1 A New Beginning
"Okay," I said looking at my Chikorita I got from Professor Coy.
"Chika" my first Pokémon said.
"If it wasn't for Karl we wouldn't be good friends, huh Chika," I said.  "So how do you like your name Chika?" I asked.
"Chika," it said in a nodding approval.
We were on our way to Professor Albert's lab to get my Pokédex.
"Hello," I said opening the door.
"Who is there," the professor said.
"It's me."
"Chris," he said walking up to me.  "I see you got a Chikorita they are very loyal Pokémon."
"Thanks," I said.  "Can I get my Pokédex?"
"Sure here it is," he said handing me the Pokédex.  "It will assist you on your journey through…where are you traveling?"
"I am going to compete in the Indigo League here," I said.
"Okay then I wish you good luck," he said.
"Okay," I said walking out of the Pokémon Center and heading for my house.
After reaching there I got a huge surprise.
"SURPRISE," my mom and dad yelled.
"Whoa I didn't expect this," I said.
"Well it is a surprise Pokémon going away party," my mom said.
"Whoa is that your Pokémon?" my dad said.
"Yes it isn't it cool," I said.  "Its name is Chika."
"Well open the gift we got you," my mom said handing it to me.
"I wonder what it is," I said opening it.
"It's a Official Pokémon League Backpack and Pokégear," my dad said.  It comes with a translator a phone so you can keep in touch a map and it tells time it is a gift from Professor Coy and the Backpack is from use."
"Thanks," I said.  I looked at all the things I got and then at Chika.  I turned on the translator.
^This is great^ Chika said.  ^Lets get going before it starts to get dark^
"Good idea," I said.
"You heard the Pokémon?  It is so cute," my mom said.
"Good luck and call use when you reach Pewter City," my dad said.
"Okay I said walking out the door my first steps to a awesome adventure in the Kanto League.
After entering the road to Viridian City…

"Boy this is where Karl saved my watch from Team Delta," I said thinking of the incident.
Flashback Begin***
"Hey Karl what's up," Chris yelled.   
"Chris what are you doing here," Karl said looking at Chris.  "I have a problem you see I was trying to catch this Sandshrew when a Mankey came out of nowhere and stole my mom's very expensive watch which I had brought to Viridian City to have fixed," Chris said looking at the bag that use to have the watch in it.  
"I will help you find it since I am now a Pokémon Trainer I have Poké"-
"Look there it is" yelled Chris interrupting Karl.  
"I will stop it with one of my Pokémon, Karl yelled, `I choose you Sandshrew,'" Karl threw the Pokéball with Sandshrew inside.  
"SAND---SHREW," yelled the Pokémon.  
"Now I check Dexter"<Mankey Pig Monkey Extremely quick to anger.  It could be docile one moment then thrashing away the next instant>
"Sandshrew use your Slash attack," yelled Karl.
"SAND-SHREWWWW," Sandshrew yelled as it jumped into the air to Slash Mankey.  As he was about to hit it Mankey jumped almost 20 feet in the air to land on the top of the tree.  
"Wow," Chris said, "I never knew a Mankey can jump that high."  
"Neither did I," Karl said.  
"I knew that you couldn't beat it.
"Who said that," Karl yelled.
"To destroy the world with Devastation"
"To unite all Peoples within our nation"
"To Destroy the Goodness of Truth and Love"
"To Extend of Reach to the Stars and Beyond"
"Mandy"
"Matt"
"Team Delta Destroy all Goodness at the Speed of Light"
"You better not resist so prepare to Fight"
"Were the best that's Right"
"Who are you," Chris said.  
"Don't you listen to the motto we are the one the only Team Delta,"mocked Mandy.  
"We breed Pokémon with chemical to make them stronger," said Matt.  
"That wrong Pokémon are not for experiments they are your friends and companions," Karl said.  
"Pokémon are best for breeding and we will show you," Mandy and Matt said at the same time.
"Mankey attack with your Low Kick attack."
"Sandshrew move out of the way then do your dig attack."
But Mankey was to fast for Sandshrew and hit him directly knocking him out.  
"Sandshrew return," Karl said and Sandshrew disappear in the Pokéball.  
"Team Delta all I want is my watch back," Chris said.  
"That watch is going to our BOSS to show him that we are doing a good job," Mandy said.  
"Don't worry I will get it back Charmander I choose you!"  As Karl yelled this he threw his Pokéball with his first Pokémon in it, Charmander exploded out of his Pokéball.  
"CHARMANDER," yelled the Pokémon ready for battle.
"Charmander use you Flamethrower attack."
Charmander shot a huge flame of fire out of his mouth at the Mankey; it hit the Mankey at Team Delta and the watch at Chris.  Mankey hit Team Delta sending them flying.  
"Look like Team Delta is Signing off again," they yelled as they were flying away.
"Thanks Karl," Chris said to Karl.  
"It was nothing," Karl said back.  
"Well I have to get going bye and thanks again," Chris said as he walked over the hill, "hope you have good luck on you adventure."
Flashback end***

"If it wasn't for him helping me get my watch back I mom wouldn't have thought I was responsible enough to become a Pokémon Trainer."
^I guess Karl is a better person than I thought^ Chika said.
"Yeah but I think it is time we caught some Pokémon."
^Maybe we will run into a Pidgey or a Rattata^ Chika said.
But after about 10 minutes of searching for Pokémon it seemed like all the Pokémon were trying to avoid me.
"I give up."
^Don't give up^ Chika said trying to cheer me up.
All of a sudden I got an idea.
"Chika use your Sweet Scent," I said to her.
^Okay^ she said as she released a pink nice smelling sent into the air then an Pokémon came running up to the clearing where we were.
"What is that," I said pulling out my Pokédex.
<Venonat Its large eyes act as radars. In a bright place, you can see that they are clusters of many tiny eyes. > It said in a mechanical voice.
"Okay Chika lets attack it with a Tackle."
^Okay^ Chika said.
^I better run^ the Venonat yelled as it tried to run away but got tackled.
"Let see…" I said looking for a Pokéball.  "Okay go!" I threw the Pokéball hard, hitting Venonat.  The Pokéball shook for a while then it stopped.
"All right we caught our first Pokémon," I said walking over to Chika.  "Good work," I petted her on the head.
^Thanks^ she said.
After walking for another 4 minutes we made it to Viridian City there was a big sign that read *Entering Viridian City road to the Indigo League*
"I guess this is the Pokémon Center," I said pointing to the Pokémon Center.
^Lets go^ Chika yelled as she ran into the Pokémon Center.
"Hello," Nurse Joy said.
"Hi, I would like to have my Pokémon healed," I handed her the Pokéball with Venonat in it.  She took it from me.
"Do you want me to check out your Chikorita," she asked.
"No its okay it didn't get hurt," I said looking at Chikorita.
^Don't worry about me Nurse Joy^ Chika said.
"How did your Pokémon talk?" she asked.  
"Oh it is the translator on my Pokégear," Chris said showing her.
"Oh the only other Pokémon that can talk is a Meowth from Team Rocket," she said.
"It could talk without the Pokégear?" I asked.
"Yes but it was very rude," Nurse Joy said.
^I bet it was^ Chika said.
I laughed.
"Chansey," said the Pokémon.
"Wow," I pulled out my Pokédex.
<Chansey A gentle and kind-hearted Pokémon that shares its nutritious eggs if it sees an injured Pokémon. >  I closed my Pokédex.
"Thanks Chansey," I took the Pokéball with Venonat in it.
"I better stay her the night," I said looking at Chika.
^It is getting dark out^ Chika said looking out the clear doors of the Pokémon Center into the Golden sunset.
"Maybe we could catch one more Pokémon before it got dark out," I said.
"I know," Nurse Joy said going to the back of the Pokémon Center.
^I wonder what she is getting^ Chika said.
"Here you can use this," she said handing me a ROD.  "It is a Good Rod you may catch some Pokémon in the pond right outside the Pokémon Center.
"Thanks," I took the Good Rod from her.  "We will be back with a Pokémon before dark."
At the Pond…
"I think I spoke to soon," I said to Chika who was talking to the Venonat.
^What was that? ^ Chika asked.
^You still haven't caught any Pokémon yet? ^ Venonat asked.
"Hey you try this fishing thing," I said.
^Okay then^ Chika stuck her one of her green vine in the water.
"So have you thought of a nickname?" I asked Venonat.  
^How about Shadow? ^ It said.
"That is a good nickname right Chika," I said looking at her.
^Okay here comes a Pokémon as she swept her vine out of the water a water Pokémon flue out of the water.
^What the…? ^ the Pokémon said as it got tackled by Shadow.
<MARRIL The tail of Marril is usually filled with water. It can also provide air for when it dives deep into water. The ball on the end of the tail can also expand and contract to help it swim. Marril's tail acts like a fishing bobber when it's submerged in water.  Its ears have radar abilities, and it can hear from far distances. >
"Okay Chika hold it down with your Vine Whip," I yelled.
Chika grabbed Marril with its vines.
"Okay go Pokéball," I threw the Pokéball it hit Marril directly on it white underbelly.  The Pokéball sucked Marril in with a red flash it shook once then stop.
"All right," I said.
^We caught^ Shadow said.
^Marril^ Chika said.
After that we headed back to the Pokémon Center we all were tired so we decided to go to sleep right away.  In the middle of the night Marril came up to me and shook me up.
"What? Who? When?" I said.
"Marril why have did you wake me up," I looked at the time on my Pokégear it read 4:00am.
^I heard a noise^ the water mouse said.
"I forget you have very sensitive hearing," I said.
^No it sounded like someone broke a window^ the Pokémon said worried.
"It was probably just a Rattata, go back to sleep," I turned on my side to fall asleep but Marril won't take no for an answer so it drenched me with water gun.
"Okay okay," I said getting up.
^The noise came from the front^ the water Pokémon said.
"Okay but I bet it is only a," I stopped because I heard talking.
"So where are all the Pokémon that you saw," a young girl voice said.
"I thought they always kept the sick Pokémon in the back," a young boys voice said.
"You were right," I said to Marril.
^I told you^ she whispered.
"Lets stop them," I said running into the open.  "Who are you?"
"What someone is up," the girl said.
"Marril turn the lights on," I yelled as Marril turned on the lights blinding the intruders.  "Now who are you?" I asked again.
"We are the one the only Team Rocket," the girl said.
"Melissa," she said.
"Matthew," he said.
"Team Rocket Blast off at the speed of light," she said.
"You better watch out or prepare to fight," he said.
"We are better than the rest so that right," they said together.
"But you are the same age as me," I said.
"So you think that because we are young we are not strong enough," Melissa said.
"You are wrong," they said throwing two Pokéballs out popped a Primeape and an Arcanine.
"Marril attack with your Watergun attack," I yelled to the Pokémon.
     "Marril," it yelled as it shot a stream of water at the Arcanine but the Pokémon dodged out of the way.  The Primeape hit Marril from behind with a Mega Kick knocking Marril against the counter.  It got up slowly.
"Marril use your Mist attack."
Marril surrounded itself in mist so that the Pokémon, Team Rocket or Me could not see it.
"Good hold on," I ran over to the fire alarm and pulled it.  The alarm went off.
BBBBBRRRRRIIIIIIGGG BBBBBBRRRRRIIIIIIGGGGG
"What happening," Nurse Joy said coming out of her room.  Chansey was right behind her.
"Chika," my Pokémon said running in front my hurt Marril.
"Marril," it said in pain.
"Oh no," Nurse Joy said picking up the hurt Pokémon.
"Where is Shadow?" I asked Chika
^It could sleep though a Tornado^ she said.
"You think you can stop us," Melissa said.
"Attack you two," Matthew yelled to the Pokémon.
"Chika look out," I yelled.
"Chika," it said as it shot its Vine Whip around Primapes arms and swing the Pokémon in the air and slamming it on the ground.
I didn't realize Chika was so strong.
"Arcanine Flamethrower," Melissa yelled to her Pokémon.
"Chika Reflect," I yelled fast.
Chika protected itself with Reflect but the fire was starting to make it way through the shield.
"Veno," yelled Shadow as it appeared out of nowhere and hit Arcanine with a Psybeam attack.  That same attack knocked Arcanine off balance and made it Flamethrower hit a pile of paper on the desk it ignited on fire and cause the make the sprinklers go off and the water hit Arcanine and hurt it.
     I could hear the sirens in the background and so could Team Rocket.  They call back their Pokémon and ran out the back door I followed them with Chika, Shadow, Nurse Joy holding Marril, and Chansey.
"Stop," I said but they hopped on the Motercycles and took off.
"Looks like we don't get any Pokémon," Matthew said.
"You will pay," Melissa yelled.
^And don't come back^ Shadow said.
I turned to Nurse Joy who was behind me.
"Is she going to be okay?" I asked.
"Yes but we have to wait until they but out the fire to the Pokémon Center.
^Marril you fought very hard^ Chika said.  ^And you still haven't thought of a nickname for yourself^
I laughed.
"How about Bubbles," Nurse Joy suggested looking at Marril.
^Bubbles? ^ She thought for a moment. ^Yeah I like it Bubbles^
"I guess its Bubbles then," I said smiling at my third Pokémon.
^The fire is out^ Shadow said.
"Excuse me," it was Officer Jenny.  "What happen here?"
"I will explain," I said.  "Nurse Joy has to take care of the hero."
Nurse Joy went inside to take care of Bubbles.  I spent the next 20 minutes at Office Jenny's Police Station explaining what happen at the Pokémon Center.
