Keith said looking at the both Nurse Joys.</div> <div> Before we reached Lavender Town we had to fight off a Nidoking and Nidoqueen in the Dark Cave.</div> <div> "They look the same," he said.</div> <div> "I think we have established that a long time ago Keith," Jewel said coming out of the back of the Pokémon Center.  Her hair was covered with a towel.</div> <div> "Why are you wearing a towel?" Keith said smiling.</div> <div> "It's none of you're business, but I decided to dye my hair," she said smiling at me.</div> <div> "Why are you dyeing you hair for?" I asked.</div> <div> "Well jet black is so passé," she said.</div> <div> "What color is it?" Keith asked.</div> <div> "I will show you guys when it is done," she said.</div> <div> "Maybe its blonde," Nick said smiling.</div> <div> "What is so funny abo-" Jewel started to say.</div> <div> "Umm don't worry," I said interrupting her.</div> <div> "Excuse me," the of the Nurse Joy's said walking over to us.</div> <div> "What is it?" I asked.</div> <div> "I have decided that since-"</div> <div> "We have decided," Lavender Joy said interrupting the Joy we saved.</div> <div> "Right," Dark Cave Joy said blushing.  "We have decided that you and Kyle should go check out Mr. Fuji."</div> <div> "Mr. Fuji?" I asked.</div> <div> "Yeah," Lavender Joy said then looking around.  "Where is Kyle?" she asked.</div> <div> "He left late last night," Keith said, " I had woke up to use the bathroom after I had that dream about Pamela Lee."</div> <div> "Keith!" Jewel said in disgust.</div> <div> "What all the dream was about was how to make cookies," Keith said then adding,  "I didn't know she knew how to cook though."</div> <div> "I wonder why he left so late?" Lavender Joy said.</div> <div> "Maybe cause he wants to get ahead of me," I said.</div> <div> "How about Chris's Pokémon Nurse Joy?" Jewel asked.</div> <div> "Well most of them were badly injured," Joy said.  "Chikorita has a sprained ankle, and the others will need more rest."</div> <div> "Okay," I said.</div> <div> "Hey Nurse Joy," Keith said.</div> <div> "Yes," they both answered at the same time.</div> <div> Keith laughed.  "How come you all have the same name?"</div> <div> Jewel punched Keith in the stomach.  "Don't worry about him," she dragged him outside.</div> <div> "You should have no problem finding Mr. Fuji just walk straight until you start to see a mountain he is in that area," One of the Joys said.</div> <div> "Thanks!" I said running out of the Pokémon Center to catch up with Jewel and Keith.</div> <div> "So how do we get to Mr. Fuji's house?" Jewel asked adjusting her towel.</div> <div> "Aren't you going to take that off?" Keith asked.</div> <div> "Okay fine," Jewel said taking off the towel.</div> <div> Her hair was a light pink color.</div> <div> "Darn I was hoping for blonde," Keith said.</div> <div> "Pink?" I said.</div> <div> "Yeah to match the Love Ball you got me," she said winking at me.</div> <div> "Oh," I said staring at her hair.</div> <div> "I also have a cool pink outfit to go with this I will put it on when we get back to the center," she said.</div> <div> "Oh…way to go Chris," Keith said winking at me.</div> <div> "That's not what I meant," Jewel said elbowing Keith in the stomach.</div> <div> "Let's go," Jewel said grabbing my arm and pulling me, Keith staggered behind.</div> <div> We walked for about 3 minutes then we heard a noise.</div> <div> "Kick it harder," the voice said.</div> <div> "Wonder what's going on," Jewel said.</div> <div> Keith ran up ahead.  "It looks like they are kicking a gray ball."</div> <div> We ran and caught up with Keith.  He was right they were kicking a gray ball.</div> <div> "I got it," one of the guys kicking the gray ball as hard as he could.</div> <div> "Phan," the ball yelled in pain.</div> <div> "Did that ball just squeal?" Jewel said.</div> <div> "Maybe it is one of those `Squealing Balls?'" Keith said.</div> <div> "'Squealing Balls?'" Jewel repeated what Keith had said.</div> <div> "No," I said as the "gray ball" got kicked again, and again it squealed in pain.</div> <div> "Maybe its-"</div> <div> "A Pokémon!" I said remembering that one of the gym leaders Karl fought in the Platinum league had a Pokémon that could roll in a ball.  I quickly pulled out my Pokédex and pointed it at the "ball".</div> <div> < Phanpy, the pre-evolved form of Donphan.  It swings its long snout around playfully, but because it is so strong, that can be dangerous. As a sign of affection, it bumps with its snout. However, it is so strong, it may send you flying. ></div> <div> "Oh my god that poor Pokémon," Jewel said.</div> <div> I ran into the field and scooped up the Pokémon.</div> <div> "Hey what are you doing?!" one of the guys yelled at me.</div> <div> "You cant do this to a Pokémon!" I yelled back at them.</div> <div> "What are you going to do then?" another one of the guys said.</div> <div> They surrounded me. Three of them and they were tall, they look to be about 6'6".</div> <div> "What now kid?!" one of them said pushing me.</div> <div> "Hey!" I heard Keith voice.</div> <div> One of the guys turned around and got kicked in the face.</div> <div> "Keith?" I said surprised.</div> <div> "You!" the guy next to the one who got drop kicked said grabbing for me.</div> <div> "Hey!" this time it was Jewel.  The guy turned around and shielded his face, but Jewel aimed a little lower.</div> <div> "Oww," I winced in pain.  "That wasn't nice." I said feeling for the guy as he held his crouch as he fell down.</div> <div> "Give me that!" the third guy said grabbing Phanpy.</div> <div> "No you don't," I said punching him square in the gut, but it didn't seem to hurt him.</div> <div> "I work out," he said smiling then some blue powder floated over his head and he fell asleep.</div> <div> "He looked tired from that workout," Keith said smiling then calling back Butterfree.</div> <div> I picked up Phanpy.  "What are we going to do now?"</div> <div> "Come with me," an old voice said behind us.</div> <div> We turned around to see a man in his mid-50s on a Ponyta.</div> <div> "Who-" Jewel started to say but the guys were starting to get up.</div> <div> "No time follow me," he said pulling on the rein as the Ponyta took off.</div> <div> I picked up Phanpy and followed the man or at least try to his Ponyta could go a lot faster than we could. When we finally caught up to him, his Ponyta was gone and he was standing in front of a house.</div> <div> "Hurry," he said going inside.</div> <div> "Boy he sure has a way of getting people to go the way he wants," Jewel said sarcastically as we ran in through the front door.</div> <div> "I can't believed I stole that Pokémon," I said after catching my breath.</div> <div> "He didn't steal it," Jewel said coming to my defense.</div> <div> "Yes he did," Keith said.  "Why is it always the good ones that turn bad?"</div> <div> "You didn't steal it," the man with the Ponyta said appearing with tea.  "Let me take the Pokémon," the man said taking it into the back.</div> <div> "He saved it." Jewel said in my defense</div> <div> "She is right," the man said appearing from the back.  "That Pokémon was abandoned by one of those young men you saw."</div> <div> "If they abandoned it how come they where messing with it?" I asked.</div> <div> "The poor baby tries to stay away but every time the trainer sees it its knocks it out and kicks it around," the man said pour tea into cups for us.  "I have been trying to get the Pokémon for a while now but to no avail," he handed us the cups.</div> <div> "Thanks," I said taking mine.</div> <div> "I'm Jewel," she said introducing herself.</div> <div> "I'm Keith," he said, then whispered, " The smart one."</div> <div> "And I'm Chris," I said before taking a sip of my tea.</div> <div> "Where are my manners," he said, " I am Mr. Fuji," he said bowing, we bowed back.</div> <div> "Isn't Mr. Fuji the guy you were suppose to see?" Jewel said.</div> <div> "Yes he is," I said.  "Nurse Joy sent me here," I said.</div> <div> "She did?" he said.</div> <div> "Yes but she didn't tell me what you do," I said.</div> <div> "Ah…" he said pondering this, " I run a Pokémon Adoption Center," he said walking over to a computer and turning it on.  "Trainers can come here to adopt abandon Pokémon, for a fee of course."</div> <div> "A Fee?" Jewel said.</div> <div> "Yes I have to make money some how to pay for the Pokémon I take care of," he said.</div> <div> "Oh," I said.</div> <div> "Sometimes I give away certain Pokémon to contest because I feel like they are not traumatized as bad as some of the other Pokémon so they can grow."</div> <div> "That is why you are so interested in Phanpy!" Keith yelled.</div> <div> "Excuse me could you not yell," Mr. Fuji asked.</div> <div> "Sorry," Keith whispered.</div> <div> I walked over and looked at the list of Pokémon given away.</div> <div> "Oh silly me," Mr. Fuji said clicking on an option on the computer.  "That is the list from a couple years ago," the computer took a while to load as a picture of trainers and the Pokémon that they adopted appeared.  "There they are," Mr. Fuji said smiling, he took the mouse and started scrolling down the list.</div> <div> "Stop," I said recognizing a picture.</div> <div> "Oh," Mr. Fuji said as he stopped scrolling.</div> <div> It was a picture of Karl.  Under description it listed some of the Pokémon he had and it had a picture of a Poliwag.</div> <div> "Do you know this person?" Mr. Fuji asked.</div> <div> "Yes that's my best friend Karl," I said.</div> <div> "He won a Roller blade contest in the Platinum Island, they had ask me for one of my Pokémon to give to this trainer," Mr. Fuji said.</div> <div> "A purple and white Pokéball," I said.</div> <div> "Yes," Mr. Fuji said.</div> <div> "I can't believe he never told me that that Poliwhirl he had was adopted," I said smiling.</div> <div> "It evolved?" Mr. Fuji said interested in Poliwag.</div> <div> "Yeah," I said then added, "You worry about the Pokémon you give away don't you."</div> <div> "Yes I do," Mr. Fuji said, "Even though I give away some of my Pokémon to contest I worry that the trainer that gets that Pokémon might abuse it."</div> <div> "Well I'm happy to report that the Pokémon is in very good hands," I said.</div> <div> "Karl is a good trainer," Keith said.  "Though I could beat him."</div> <div> "You?" Jewel said then she giggled.</div> <div> "What! I could!" Keith said.</div> <div> "Well that is good to know that at least one of the Pokémon I give away is okay," Mr. Fuji said ignoring Keith and Jewel arguing.</div> <div> "Mr. Fuji I think Nurse Joy sent me here to-" I didn't get a chance to finish my sentence because they was a loud crashing noise from the back.</div> <div> "What!" Keith yelled.</div> <div> "Phanpy!" I said running to the back of the house.  When I got there, there was a big hole in the wall.</div> <div> "He must have used Roll Out," Mr. Fuji said as he saw the hole.</div> <div> "Is there a back door?" Jewel asked.</div> <div> Mr. Fuji pointed to the door.</div> <div> "Quick!" I yelled opening the door.</div> <div> "Where is it?" Keith said looking around.</div> <div> "We have to find it before those guys do," Jewel said.</div> <div> "Lets split up then," I said running off.</div> <div> "Chris!" Jewel yelled.</div> <div> "What?" I said stopping.</div> <div> "You don't have any Pokémon with you," Keith said.</div> <div> "Use this," Mr. Fuji said throwing me a Pokéball.</div> <div> I caught it, "But it won't listen to me," I said.</div> <div> "Yes it will I have trained that Pokémon too," Mr. Fuji said.</div> <div> "Thanks," I said running off.</div> <div> I turned around to see Jewel and Chris going off in different directions.</div> <div> I headed for the bushes.  Diving in head first which wasn't a good idea, because I hit a tree.</div> <div> "Darn," I yelled in pain.  I rubbed my head and then started calling to Phanpy.  "PHANPY!" I yelled on the top of my lungs.   "PLEASE COME OUT!"  The bushes in front of me rustled.  "There you are," I said reaching in, but what I pulled out wasn't a Phanpy.</div> <div> "Beedrill!" the Pokémon yelled.</div> <div> "Ahhh!" I said dropping the Pokémon, which wasn't a good idea.</div> <div> "Beed," the Pokémon said getting up and trying to sting me, I jumped out of the way and hit a branch with my head, which by the way hurt, and about a dozen Weedles fell out of and landed on me.</div> <div> "AHHHH!" I screamed like a little girl.  Now don't get me wrong and don't laugh at me you all know that you would scream if you had a dozen Weedles all over you.</div> <div> "Weed?" One of them said looking at me.</div> <div> I took off running and didn't stop for a good five minutes.</div> <div> "Chris?" I heard a voice and turned around, it was Jewel.</div> <div> "Ye..ye…yes," I said gasping for air.</div> <div> "What happen to you?" she asked.</div> <div> "Bee…" I started to say.</div> <div> "What?" Jewel said.</div> <div> I pointed to the three guys that were kicking Phanpy around, but this time they weren't kicking the Pokémon instead they were attacking it with a Raticate.</div> <div> "Oh my-" Jewel started to say but I cut her off.</div> <div> "STOP!"</div> <div> They stopped attacking Phanpy and looked at me.</div> <div> "Wait," One of them said.  "He was the one who saved this gray crap the last time."</div> <div> "You better leave him alone!" I said.</div> <div> "What are you going to do!" he said.</div> <div> "Be careful," One of them whispered.  "His friends."</div> <div> "Okay," the other said.  "How about we make this a Pokémon match!" he said.</div> <div> "Fine," I said.</div> <div> "Chris maybe I should fight," Jewel said.</div> <div> "Or me," Keith said appearing from the sky.  "Cool entrance huh?" he said as his Butterfree collapsed on the ground.</div> <div> "Keith your Butterfree!" Jewel said.</div> <div> "Yeah it's amazing I didn't know it knew how to fly," he said.</div> <div> "It doesn't!" Jewel said.</div> <div> "Okay Butterfree return," Keith said calling back the Pokémon.</div> <div> "How many Pokémon?" I asked I knew I didn't have any Pokémon but they didn't.</div> <div> "Each of us use one Pokémon how about that?" he said.</div> <div> "Fine with me," Keith said throwing his first Pokéball.</div> <div> "Pinsir!" the Pokémon said.</div> <div> "Let me go," the one that Keith had kicked in the face said.  "GO!" he said chucking a Pokéball.</div> <div> "Donphan," the Pokémon said.</div> <div> "You have a Donphan and you guys are treating a Phanpy like that!" I said.</div> <div> "Unlike that weakling this one is strong!" the trainer said.</div> <div> "Pinsir Vice Grip!" Keith yelled.</div> <div> "Donphan Tackle!"</div> <div> Donphan attacked first jumping at Pinsir and tackling the Pokémon.  Pinsir fought back by trying to clamp the Pokémon between its huge pincers, but to no avail.</div> <div> "Pinsir try a Slash attack!" Keith yelled.</div> <div> "Pin!" the Pokémon yelled as it ran towards Donphan.</div> <div> "Roll Out!"</div> <div> "Phan," said the Pokémon as it started to spinning like a ball it rammed Pinsir sending the Pokémon flying.</div> <div> "Quick Rapid Spin" the trainer said.</div> <div> Donphan jumped up into the air spinning in all directions, it hit Pinsir sending the Pokémon flying.</div> <div> "Pinsir return," Keith said calling back the Pokémon.  "Sorry Chris," he said looking at me.</div> <div> "Who's next?" the guy that Jewel had kicked in the crouch said.</div> <div> "Me," Jewel said.</div> <div> "Phan," the little Pokémon said trying to squeeze out of the trainer who had worked out said.</div> <div> "Oh no you don't, old Jimmie is going to take care of you," he said with a smirk on his face.</div> <div> "Go Staryu!" Jewel said releasing her Pokémon.</div> <div> "Then I choose Vaporeon," the trainer said.</div> <div> "Hya!"</div> <div> "Pore."</div> <div> "Staryu Water Gun!" Jewel yelled.</div> <div> "Vaporeon, Fight back with Water Gun!"</div> <div>  The two Pokémon let out their attacks.  Both attacks connected but no one seemed to be winning.</div> <div> "Jewel try something else," I said.</div> <div> "Right, Staryu try you're Rapid Spin!" Jewel yelled.</div> <div> "Vaporeon quick use Aurora Beam!" the Vap. Trainer said.</div> <div> "Oh no!" Jewel said as her Pokémon got hit hard with the attack knocking it down.</div> <div> "Hyoww," it seem Staryu yelled as it hit the ground.</div> <div> "Its over," the trainer said.</div> <div> "No Staryu get up!" Jewel yelled in desperation.</div> <div> "Huah," the Pokémon said trying to stand.</div> <div> "Quick Vaporeon finish it off with Tackle," the trainer yelled.</div> <div> "Va," the Pokémon said running over to Staryu, but right as it was about to hit the fallen Pokémon Staryu let out a blinding Flash attack neither Vaporeon nor the trainer saw that coming.</div> <div> "Va," the Pokémon said as it shook its head.</div> <div> "Quick Staryu use Water Gun!" Jewel yelled.</div> <div> Staryu let out the biggest Water Gun attack knocking Vaporeon back.</div> <div> "What!" the trainer said calling back his Pokémon.</div> <div> "Don't worry Jimmie can handle it," one said.</div> <div> "I choose you!" Jimmie said throwing his Pokéball.</div> <div> "Slowbro," the Pokémon said.</div> <div> "A Slowbro?" I said pulling out my Pokédex.</div> <div> <Slowbro A Hermit Crab Pokémon. Slowbro is not likely to win any I.Q. contests, and it seems to survive by luck and instinct alone. Even doopier than its previous evolution. It's so slow that it doesn't even realize, much less care about the Shellder clamped to it's tail. The Shellder that is latched onto Slowpoke's tail is said to feed on the host's left over scraps. Slowbro stands upright.  It's attacks are stronger and deadlier that Slowpoke's. Overall, a good pet, although teaching it a new technique may be frustrating. ></div> <div> "Chris you sure you don't want me to battle?" Jewel asked.</div> <div> "So you're going to get a girl to fight for you?" Jimmie said taunting me.</div> <div> "No!" I said pulling out the Pokéball Mr. Fuji gave me.  "Please be a good Pokémon," I whispered to myself as I threw the Pokéball.</div> <div> "Slowbro!" the Pokémon said appearing out of his Pokéball.</div> <div> "Another Slowbro!" Keith said.</div> <div> "Yeah right, you think you can beat me with that Slowbro?  My Slowbro is stronger that that," Jimmie said.</div> <div> He was probably right too, but that was the only Pokémon I had and I wasn't about to lose Phanpy to a trainer like him.</div> <div> "Slowbro!" I yelled, "Use you're…" I just realized I didn't know any of Slowbro's attacks!</div> <div> "I don't know what's wrong with you kid," Jimmie said sighing, "Slowbro Water Gun!"</div> <div> "Bro," the Pokémon said standing there.</div> <div> "Slowbro use you're Water Gun like his!" I said.</div> <div> "Slow," my Slowbro said standing there.</div> <div> "Why aren't they attacking?" I said and my Pokédex automatically answered.</div> <div> <Slowbro are extremely slow Pokémon> it mechanical voice said.</div> <div> "Slow," Jimmie's Slowbro said as it unleashed a Water Gun attack.</div> <div> "Slowbro where is you're Water Gun!" I yelled.</div> <div> My Slowbro got hit with the Water Gun attack but it didn't flinch instead it rubbed its head and shot a Water Gun back at the Pokémon it did the same exact thing they just stood there wetting each other and not getting hurt.</div> <div> "This is the weirdest battle I've ever seen," Keith said.</div> <div> "Slow?" my Slowbro said looking at Jimmie's Slowbro.</div> <div> "Bro?" Jimmie's Slowbro said looking at my Slowbro, and then both Pokémon fainted.</div> <div> "Uhhh…" I said there staring at the Pokémon.</div> <div> "Whaaa?" Jimmie said surprised.</div> <div> That's when Phanpy made its move it bit Jimmie causing him to drop the Pokémon.</div> <div> "Oww," he yelled.</div> <div> "Quick," I said pulling out a Pokéball.</div> <div> "No!" Jimmie said pulling out a Pokéball of his own.</div> <div> We released our Pokéballs both aimed at Phanpy.  Everything seemed to move in slow motion as the two Pokéballs connected with Phanpy but only one sucked the Pokémon inside with no struggle.</div> <div> "Who caught it?" one of Jimmie's guys said.</div> <div> "I did," Jimmie said walking over to the Pokéball.</div> <div> "STOP!" Mr. Fuji yelled as he rode up in his Ponyta.</div> <div> "Ahh!" Jimmie yelled jumping back.</div> <div> "Chris Pokéball hit first I saw it," he said.</div> <div> "Yeah right old man," Jimmie said.</div> <div> "I'm tired of people calling me a old man!" Mr. Fuji said.  "Ponyta STOMP!"</div> <div> "TA," the Pokémon said stomping its hooves into the ground Jimmies flew back into his buddies.</div> <div> "Keep the Pokémon we don't want it," Jimmie said running off.</div> <div> "Yeah," his two buddies said following him.</div> <div> "Here you go Chris," Mr. Fuji said after getting off his Ponyta and handing me Phanpy.</div> <div> "But I can't take it," I said.</div> <div> "Yes you can," Mr. Fuji said.  "You risked everything to make sure this Pokémon was okay I think you should have it."</div> <div> It took us a while but we got back to the Pokémon Center where all my Pokémon where waiting.</div> <div> "I see you meet Mr. Fuji," Nurse Joy said.</div> <div> "Where is the other Joy?"
