Chapter Seven: Claws and Blades
Henry threw his Pokeball down to the field. "Pinsir, Go!"
"Scyther, attack!" Slash called out milliseconds behind. "Cut!"
"Pinsir, Tackle!" Henry ordered. Scyther charged it, blade first. But,
Pinsir ducked beneath the swinging slash, and slammed it hard.
"Quick Attack!" Slash commanded. Scyther shot forward, super-duper fast.
"Vice Grip!" Henry said calmly. Pinsir caught Scyther in its claws,
holding it tight.
"Break free with Swords Dance, and then use Cut!" Slash cried. Scyther
began to swing its blades around, breaking itself out of Pinsir's
terrible grip. It then delivered a massive Cut across its face. "Now,
Slam!"
"Pinsir, Mega Punch!" Henry told his Pokemon. As Scyther shot at the
seemingly wounded Pokemon, it delivered a massive punch, which sent it
flying. "Now, Aerial Take
Down!"
Pinsir slammed Scyther with incredible force. The other bug type Pokemon
crashed hard into the ground.
"Scyther, give it another Quick Attack!" Slash shouted. Scyther shot at
Pinsir as fast as it could, but Pinsir caught it with its claws and
lifted it up.
"Seismic Toss." Henry commanded emotionlessly. Pinsir shot up, holding
Scyther. It then, threw the bug Pokemon down as hard as it could.
"Fly attack!" Slash ordered. Scyther stopped in mid-air, as it shot up
and tackled Pinsir while it was floating down.
"Slash it!" Henry said. Pinsir delivered a massive swipe across
Scyther's face, and then, slammed it hard into the ground.
"Scyther, Double Team!" Slash told his Pokemon. He must've been
desperate, as Scyther appeared to become three Pokemon. "You'll never
find the real one."
"Really?" Henry asked calmly. "Time to show you the wonder of TMs..
Pinsir, Fire Spin attack!"
Out in the field, Alex and Nightmare gasped in surprise. "That's
impossible!" Alex cried, "How on earth did he come up with that?!"
Pinsir's huge swarm of flame wrapped around the three Scyther's, and two
disappeared. The remaining one was burned. It screeched in pain, as the
fire finally dissipated, leaving it half-dead.
"Skull Bash!" Slash cried. Scyther charged at Pinsir, head first. But,
Pinsir caught it between its large, silver claws.
"Guillotine." Henry ordered. Pinsir finished Scyther with the most
powerful move a bug Pokemon could learn. Scyther fell, defeated.
"Hmmf." Slash grunted, as he recalled Scyther. "You've won the Pokemon
battle, but not the true fight. This day will be a draw."
"Not if I have anything to say about it." Henry said calmly. "Let's go."
"Henry, you don't have to do this!" Tom shouted, "Don't get yourself
killed, just call it a draw!"
"I can't, Tom." Henry replied. "This is to prove that Team Rocket truly
can't beat us."
"Well, sorry to crush your pitiful little dreams, then." Slash told him.
"The rules, Alex?"
"Basically, it's no holds barred. In other words, you can fight with
weapons, your own hands and feet, you can fight anyway you want. The
only way to win is if your opponent is completely knocked out." Alex
explained. "Let's begin."
"Fine with me!" Slash laughed devilishly, as he sent a foot flying at
Henry. To his surprise, the Pokemon Master caught his foot, spun him
around, and sent him flat on his face.
"Idiot." Henry muttered, as he flipped backwards, bounced off a tree,
and dropkicked Slash. He skidded back, and crashed into a nearby rock.
"You'll pay for that!!" Slash promised, as he charged at Henry. Again,
the Pokemon Master (literally) beat him to the punch, as he delivered a
massive blow to his face. Henry then placed his head between his
underarm, and did a DDT onto the ground. A DDT is a type of wrestling
move that involves slamming one's face hard into the ground. Henry then
lifted Slash up, and threw him into a tree. Slash rebounded off it, and
kicked Henry in the face. The Pokemon Master skidded back, but quickly
recovered, and kicked Slash between the legs, delivering the most
powerful attack in history, the Low Blow. As Slash was disoriented,
Henry did something unexpected. He raised both his middle fingers, and
flipped Slash off. Slash was too surprised to react, as Henry kicked him
in the stomach, turned around, grabbed Slash's neck with both arms, as
he dropped down, and slammed Slash's head off his shoulder. This was
another wrestling move, known quite well as the Stunner.
"What?! Impossible!" Alex shouted in disbelief. He looked on at his best
fighter, who lay in a heap.
"Henry.won?" Nightmare couldn't believe it, either.
"You did it, Henry!" Timber said happily.
"Alright, Alex. Henry won both matches. We beat you, two out of three."
Tom smiled.
"You haven't won anything!" Alex growled. "You may have beaten us today,
but I assure you, you won't beat us tomorrow!"
Nightmare set Slash's unconscious body onto Alex's hovercraft, as he
climbed aboard as well. Soon, Team Rocket lifted into the air, and
disappeared.
"Later, losers." Tom waved. "By the way, great style, Henry. Where'd you
learn to fight like that?"
"An old TV show called WWF Wrestling. There was this guy on it, called
Stone Cold: Steve Austin, who did that exact move. I thought it would be
cool if I myself learned it." Henry answered. "Anyway, what say we move
on?"
"Yeah," Timber nodded. "Hey, Tom, isn't the next place we're going your
hometown?"
"Yep!" Tom said happily. "Our next stop is Vermillion City!"
"Well, if you two would actually move, we might make it there by
tomorrow morning." Henry told them.
"Oh, yeah! C'mon, let's go!" Tom shot forward, running faster than a
Rapidash.
"May I ask why you decided to join up with this guy?" Timber asked.
"I was about to ask you that very question." Henry replied. "C'mon, we'd
better catch up to him before he disturbs the peace."
"Yeah." Timber agreed. "Let's go."
