Chapters 1-3
Chapter 1: Goodbye Evilon
'Twas a fine day on the island. The sun was bright and warm, full of colour as a fluffy rainbow cotton cone. The sea was full of mystery, glowing an eerie blue. Palm trees swayed as the wind picked up and sand was blown down the beautiful white-sand beaches. It was an august day, the peek of the year, just like the highest point on a faeris wheel! Children playfully swung on swings and people of all ages bathed in the salty tropical ocean. This was Evilon Island, a place where a dream could come true as you were dropped off after a wonderful sail from another far off place. As beautiful as it looked, as beautiful as it was.
Meet Cam, a young adventureous explorer! Not very tall, but average height. With slick black hair, nice tanned skin and tropical clothes Cam was an island boy. Wearing a light see-through vest over top of his tropical gound, today Cam would set out on an advenure like no other he'd experianced before. Not alone though, no no... With his best friend, Fritz. She was a beautiful girl, tall with blond hair. More of a tomboy but otherwise a great friend to trust at tough times.
"Cam, Cam!! Are you ready?" yelled Fritz very excited.
"Almost, I just have to say goodbye to my parents!" he hollered back. He scurried down some stairs with his bags packed. He jumped the last step, slid off the rail and walked into the kitchen.
"Hi honey!" said his mom sweetly. "Today's the big day!"
"Sure is! I'm ready to set off and explore the world!" he replied.
"Well, I'm sorry that your dad couldn't be here to see you leave... He just had to go off on one of those trips, you know him," his mother said.
"It's ok, I know he's proud of me!" said Cam cheerfully.
"That's it! Keep your head high and show great spirits!" said his mother.
"Well, I think I'm gonna have to leave now."
"Ok, I hope you have a great trip!"
"Don't worry, I will! I have Fritz by my side!" he said.
"Your right! Now, off with you! Drop by and send letters to keep in touch soon!" said his mother.
"I will if I have the chance, I'll probably stop by in a few months."
"Ok, well, goodbye... I love you."
"Me too mom!" said Cam. He gave her a hug and walked out the door to the house.
"It's about time, man!" said Fritz.
"I had to say goodbye to mom!" Cam replied. "So where are we off to?"
"Well, I had the feeling you wanted to go to §andsstan?" asked Fritz.
"Yes! I would love to go there, that's where I was born!" chirped Cam.
"Ok, then we're going to §andsstan City!!" shouted Fritz. The two followed the street and headed off.
"Well, here we are!" said Cam. "As soon as we're on this boat, we're off to §andsstan City and outta here!"
"Yup, you got your ticket ready?" asked Fritz.
"Yeah, let's go," They walked up a wooden board onto a small navigator boat. The sails were high and it looked as though the sky was made of marshmallows. The sun was practically glowing now, it was a special time of day at noon. Noon was when all of the residents of Evilon went to town and started to market. People filled the streets as Cam and Fritz walked aboard the small and beautiful boat. It would be here where they would stay the next 2 days. Hopefully they would not get seasick, the voyage would be long and adventurous. "Ready?"
"Yes. Let's do this!" said Fritz. The told the captain to set sail and they were off... Off to a new and exciting adventure like none ever experianced before!
Chapter 2: Sailing South
The ocean was calm. The sun beat down like flashy jewelry over the water. A small ship cut through like a knife, sailing south to §andsstan City, the birthplace of our hero, Cam.
"Wow! Isn't the sea beautiful?" gasped Fritz.
"Sure is!" said Cam. "So what are we doing first when we get to §andsstan, any ideas?"
"How about we go into the ruins?"
"Great Idea!" said Cam.
"There's supposed to be treasure deep with-in those ruins, the treasures are said to be hidden in the core of an underground temple." Explained Fritz. "Do you think we'll find them?"
"I'm not so sure about that, but I have a feeling we'll find something special!" chimed Cam. "Then we can treasure it and get cash!"
"Good idea, we need some money or we'll go hungry soon!"
"Yeah, let's go ask the captain when we'll get there!" Cam and Fritz journeyed up the boat deck into the Captain's Cabin. The knocked on the door and he let them in. "Hello Captain!"
"Hello Cam! Come in, sit down, I'm just steering the ship."
"Thank you." Fritz said politely.
"Can you predict when we will arrive at §andsstan City?" wondered Cam.
"I'm not quite sure, but, there is said to be a storm coming sooo... About another day at the most and a couple o' hours at the least." the older man said.
"Thanks."
"Anytime my boy! Anytime!" he said cheerfully. The two kids stormed out of the cabin and jumped down to the lower deck. The watched over the boat railings. Along side was a school of dolphins merrily keeping pace with the grand (but small) ship. Cam watched as the cut through the waves, looking almost like mom's sewing machine. Into the water and back out again, leaving a trail behind them completing the process. The two kids watched for another little while and went to their cabins.
Lightning struck fiercly, the boat tipped and turned. Waves were as high as 5 meter sticks and crew members tried hard to control the ship. Crack! Suddenly, lightning hit a sail setting it to flames! Crew members were in shock. Would they live or die out here? Only god knew... The men quickly put out the fire with buckets of water. The blazing fire went out faster as it was a storm, thank god. Between the sails and the men, only the storm stood between them now. The Captain and 2 other crew members steered the ship safely toward land. They were in desperate need of help and shelter. Land was in view, but still quite far. "We're gonna barely make it" the captain thought. Cam and Fritz came out of their cabins to see what was going on... They gasped in horror. Lightning and thunder thudded in a eurruption of clouds. The sky was black and blue, only clouds and water. Suddenly the ship tossed in one direction sending people flying. Crew members hit the ground with a hard thud. Cam kept looking forward.
"Scary eh?" he said loud enough for Fritz to answer. No reply. He spun around. Where was Fritz? As if from a movie he heard a scream of terror and call for help, it was Fritz. He looked over the railing and there was Fritz... In the water. Cam hollered for the crew and they ran towards him.
"Fritz is in trouble!!"
"Don't worry bud, we'll get her out!" said Jhon, a well trained crew member. Him and three other men threw a life ballon into the water and dragged her aboard.
"Are you alright Fritz?" asked Jhon.
"Yes, I'm ok." She shivered.
"Cam, we're very busy controlling the ship so I want you to take her to your cabin. Stay there until the storm storm is over otherwise specified." Cam nodded and took Fritz to their cabin. They stayed in there for a while. Quiet. Most they did was talk after a couple of hours. Time passed and it was still storming outside, as they could see outside a window. It wasn't long before the ship dropped anchor and Jhon told them to come aboard outside. It was still pouring rain and lightning filled the sky. They were in front of an island. A gignatic island.
"We're going to find shelter, you come with us," said Jhon. They were lowered into a life raft and taken to shore...
The group of 5 crew members and 2 kids landed at shore. The got off the raft and walked up a muddy beach. The island was deserted. They all waited for the rest of the ship to come to shore. Finally everybody was there. The captain lead the way to shelter. They ventured not too far and found a cave. Walls were painted on and the captain managed to make a torch out of some dry wood in the cave, some tree sap and a box of matches. The all journeyed into the cave. It was dark and cold. The walls were deep chocolate brown. The torch was glowing more of gold than usual fire colors, was it just Cam or was this really what was happening? After a few minutes they all arrived at a wall... Dead end. There was something strange about this wall, it had a beautiful design on it, gold and blue. There was a picture of 6 treasures, each a different color with a creature in the middle, wearing gold and blue armor. In the center of the design was a small button or peddle, whatever it was, they were all ancious to press it! The captain pushed it and the wall swung open. Amazingly another room was there... Full of treasure! Gold rings, money, diamonds, crowns, crystals, and wonderful treasured lay there. Skeletons were laying there too. As if they were entranced, all of the men, including the captain jumped at the treasures and showered themselves in the riches. This is where everything was turned around and Cam and Fritz never felt the same again. As the members of the crew threw their hands in joy they quickly felt tired. They all went to sleep. Well, the children were still standing there and knew something was wrong. After everyone was down they checked their pulses... Dead. What was this?! Cam picked up the torch in the dead captain's hand and they ran out of the cave. everything had happened too fast! This was a nightmare!
"What happened back there?" screamed Fritz.
"I'm not sure... But it was scary."
"We better find shelter, then get off this island!" said Fritz.
"Your right, we need a place to sleep, how about the ship?" said Cam. He pointed towards the ship. One thing... It was gone. They looked at the ocean for a moment, they could only see the end of the ship in the water.... In flames. it was still pouring rain and the ship was sunk. Not only that but everyone was dead.
"This is a nightmare!" yelled Fritz.
"Yeah! We gotta get out of here!" said Cam. "How about we find shelter and explore tomorrow?"
"Good idea..." replied Fritz. As it was dangerous, they ignored what was behind them and the two kids paced inside the island jungle, what would happen? As the sky turned cherry red and the clouds floated away hopes looked up... But was this a sign of death? What would become of them?
Chapter 3: The Silver Relic
"Wow, it's very cold out..." hesitated Fritz.
"It is... But we still need to find shelter!" replied Cam. The two young teens explored the island, their surroundings, everything! It was a beautiful island, even if it was abondoned! Suddenly Cam spotted something... But it wasn't shelter...
"Look! Something is glowing!" Cam pointed out.
"Wow! What could it be?" They ran towards a glowing object in the bushes picked it up. In Cam's hands was a small silver/blue relic, glowing ever so brightly.
"It's magnificent! Nothing like I've ever seen before!" said Fritz.
"It is! Why don't we find shelter and examine it later?"
"Ok!" They looked at it another few seconds and headed off. Soon they arrived at some falls. Lovely water, crystal clear, came tumbling down he side of a cliff. Under was a small cavern. The two kids walked toward it...
"We'll camp here tonight..." said Cam. The kids set up a small fire and camp and went to sleep... What would be waiting next?
