Jenny asked.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"I don't know?" Johnny said.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"But maybe later on we can catch up with them," said Jenny.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Look, a Pokémon," Johnny shouted.</B></div> <bR> <div> At the Pokémon Center…</div> <bR> <div> <B>"Here are my Pokémon," Katie said handing Nurse Joy her Pokéballs.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Chansey, take care of these," Nurse Joy said handing the Pokéballs to Chansey.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Let's use the Vidphone," Wendy said pointing at it.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Okay," Katie said walking up to it and dialing the Professor's phone number.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Hello?" the Professor answered.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Hi Professor, it's me Katie."</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Oh Katie, can you hold on a sec?" </B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Alright."</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Tommy is doing great at capturing Pokémon," the Professor said returning.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"I know," Katie said.  "Isn't he the sweetest thing?"</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Yes, he has just caught his fifth Pokémon."</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"How is Willy?" Katie asked.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Well," the Professor said.  "He has only four Pokémon.  How many Pokémon do you have Katie?"</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Three," Katie said proudly.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Ha, ha!" Wendy said laughing out loud.  "You have the least Pokémon."</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Excuse me Professor," Katie said as she started punching Wendy in the head.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Well anyways here," said the Professor sending as the transporter send a device over.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Is that the Pokégear?" Katie asked.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Yes," said the Professor.  "How did you-?"</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Well I got to go now," Katie said as she hanged up.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Here are your Pokémon," Nurse Joy said handing Katie the Pokémon.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Thanks," Katie said.  "Come out Growly."</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Growlithe," said the Pokémon.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Growly," Katie said.  "We need to catch more Pokémon."</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Growlithe," said the Pokémon walking out of the Pokémon Center.</B></div> <bR> <div> 10 minutes later…</div> <bR> <div> <B>"I don't see any Pokémon out here," Katie said looking around.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Oh," Wendy shouted.  "You wanted Pokémon, well there is a Scyther over there."</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Why didn't you tell me?" Katie said punching Wendy in the stomach.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"You never asked," Wendy explained holding her stomach.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B><Scyther A Mantis Pokémon. A very strong Pokémon without a doubt. This frightening Pokémon seems to have just as much in common with dinosaurs as with bugs. The razor edges on its wings make it's Slash attack that much more damaging. Add to that ninja-like speed and sharpness and the enemy is down for the count! This is one Pokémon to avoid if you're a beginning trainer. ></B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Let's go Nidorina," Katie yelled throwing a Pokéball.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Nido," said the Pokémon look at Scyther.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Thunderbolt," Katie yelled.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Scy," said the Pokémon disappearing, and then reappearing behind Nidorina and slashing her.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Be careful Scyther is fast," Wendy said.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Poison Sting," Katie said.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Nido," said the Pokémon shooting out Poison Stings.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"I wonder what the Pokémon are saying?" Katie said pulling out her Pokégear.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>^You think you can stop me like that? ^ Scyther said.  ^Have one of these. ^ Scyther said trying to Slash Nidorina.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Duck," Katie yelled.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>^Okay. ^  Nidorina said ducking and dodging Scyther's attacks.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Horn Attack," Katie commanded.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>^No problem^ said Nidorina hitting Scyther.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Try the Pokéball Katie," Wendy said.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Okay," said Katie throwing her Pokéball.  Then that was the end.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Good job Nidorina," said Katie pulling out her Pokéball, calling back Nidorina.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Now let's see if we can find anymore Pokémon," Katie said walking down the bushes.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>^Huh? ^ A Pokémon said.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Look, it's a Chickorita," Wendy said.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Yes, a grass Pokémon just like Afro's Bulbasaur. </B></div> <bR> <div> Flashback…</div> <bR> <div> <B>"Sandslash."</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Vetribell."</B></div> <bR> <div> <B><Sandslash A Mouse Pokémon. Equipped with spikes on it's back. Curls up into a spiny ball just like a porcupine when threatened. It can roll while curled up to attack or escape. With it's Fury Swipes technique, Sandslash can attack two to five times in a row. Be sure not to leave this Pokémon out where someone can step on it. Ouch! ></B></div> <bR> <div> <B><Victreebel A Flycatcher Pokémon. Said to live in huge colonies deep in jungles, although no one has ever returned from there. Not much is changed in the Weepinbell's evolution to Victreebel. Not only can Victreebel's Wrap attack hold an opponent immobile, it can score several hits in a row. Its attacks are heavily damaging and can send a Pokémon to the Pokémon Center in seconds of contact. Nevertheless, you'll need one to become a Pokémon Master. ></B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"I don't need one of those Pokémon because I have a well trained Bulbasaur," Afro said. "Go Bulbasaur."</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"A Bulbasaur?" Katie said pulling out her Pokédex.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B><Bulbasaur A Seed Pokémon. One of three Pokémon offered when you are starting out. Bulbasaur is a strong, manageable Pokémon for beginning trainers. Bulbasaur is in better shape than the other beginning Pokémon like Charmander and Squirtle, which makes it harder to defeat and capture. A strange seed was planted on it's back at birth. The plant grows and sprouts as this Pokémon grows. Scientists are unsure whether to classify Bulbasaur as a plant or animal. ></B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Wow I have to get myself one of those," Katie said.  "Go Pidgeotto."</B></div> <bR> <div> <B><Pidgeotto A Bird Pokémon. Unlike their mild-mannered cousin, Pidgeotto are very protective of their sprawling territory. Pidgeotto will fiercely peck or claw at any intruder. You can obtain a Pidgeotto either by capturing one in the wild or by building up a Pidgey. Pidgeotto is much rarer than Pidgey. Uses stronger wind attacks such as Powerful Gust. ></B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"I never ran into one of those," Afro said.  "Bulbasaur use Vine Whip on Sandslash."</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Pidgeotto, make Bulbasaur hop on your back so he can use Vine Whip… then come down with a fly on Vectreebel."</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Sandslash, Sand Attack… Vectreebel, Razor Leaf," Peter ordered.  A huge Sand Attack came right at Pidgeottos face, but Pidgeotto countered it with it wings and send it back at Sandslash.  But then, Vectreebel's Razor Leaf hit Pidgeotto, which caused Bulbsaur to fall off.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Bulbasaur try to use Vine Whip on both Pokémon," Afro said.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Pidgeotto double Quick Attack," Katie said.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Bulbasaur," said the Pokémon hitting the two Pokémon hitting them with his Vine Whips.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Pidget," said the Pokémon flying all the way at the door of the gym and coming back so fast hitting Sandslash, then Victreebel.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Victreebel," said the Pokémon about to fall down.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Come on Victreebel try to stay up," said Peter.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Looks like your not so tough talking now," said Katie.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"You shut your mouth little girl," said Peter.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Oh yeah Pigeotto make Bulbasaur jump right on top of you and come down with a fly and a-" said Katie.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Body Slam," said Afro.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"On-"</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"The-"</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Victreebel-"</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"NNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWW THAT HURT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" said a voice, it was Nick hold his left hand.</B></div> <bR> <div> Flashback ended…</div> <bR> <div> <B>"I guess Nick had problems in his head," Katie said.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Hurry up and catch the Chikorita!" Wendy shouted.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Go for it Growly."</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>^Okay^</B></div> <bR> <div> <B><Chikorita a sweet aroma gently wafts from the leaf on its head. It is docile and loves to soak up the sun's rays. Its pleasantly aromatic leaves have the ability to check the humidity and temperature. ></B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Growly, watch out for the Vine Whips," Katie yelled.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>^All right^ said the Pokémon.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>^Hah^ Chikorita said laughing.  ^You think you can beat me? ^</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>^Well let's see, I have the advantage^ Growly explained,  ^But, I think it's best if I don't underestimate you^</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>^Let's get started^ Chikorita said.  ^Take this! ^</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Watch out for the Vine Whip," Katie yelled.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>^Ahh! ^ Growly shouted.  ^Hey you're not so bad after all^</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>^Why thank you^ Chikorita said.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>^You're welcome^ Growly said scratching himself.</B></div> <bR> <div> <I><B>I'll get him while he's not paying attention;</B></I><B> Chikorita thought as she shot out another Vine.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>^Ow! ^ Growly said in pain.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Okay Growly, you can stop fooling around now," Katie said.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>^All right, this match is over^ Growly said charging up for a Flamethrower.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>^One of these days, I'm going to defeat a fire Pokémon.  I hate them. ^ Chikorita said charging up for a Solarbeam. </B></div> <bR> <div> <B>^Good-bye^ Growly said shooting out the attack.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Maybe it will work," Katie said throwing a Pokéball.  It was over after that.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Wow, you capture two Pokémon in one chapter!" Wendy exclaimed.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Huh?" Katie question.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Hey!" a kid said running up to Katie.  "I was going to capture that Pokémon.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Let me guess," Katie guessed.  "You want to have a battle?"</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"No," the kid said. </B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Who are you?" Wendy question. </B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"I'm Justin," Justin explained.  "I'm from the other world."</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Just like Afro," Wendy said.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Are you talking about the hair style?" Katie asked.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Why did you come to us for?" Katie asked.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"To tell you to watch your backs," Justin warned.  "Because Team Rocket and I are going to take all of your Pokémon."  He then walked away.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Hey wait," Katie yelled.</B></div> </td> </tr></table></body>
