Larger and stronger than Paras. A host-parasite pair in which the parasite mushroom has taken over the host bug. The giant mushroom is a good defense against its enemies. It's Spore technique puts attackers to sleep. Parasect's mushroom can also be used to make magical potions; one potion makes all the Pokémon in the world stronger. Prefers damp places. ></B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Arbok," said the Pokémon fainting.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Parasect use Tackle," said Erica.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Parasect," said the Pokémon fainting.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Huh, that doesn't make any sense," said Erica.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Our Pokémon has came and went," said Brett rhyming.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Dang," said Erica as she and Brett ran away.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"That takes care of them," said Katie.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"We will be back," said Erica.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"And that's a fact," said Brett rhyming as they both ran off.</B></div> <bR> <div> Moments Later…</div> <bR> <div> <B>"Nurse Joy," said Katie running into the room.  "I would like to have my Pokémon healed."</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Sure," the nurse said taking Katie's Pokéballs.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Good thing we got here on time," said Wendy.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Hey girl," said a kid talking to Wendy.  The kid looked like a teenage boy.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Yes?" Wendy question.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"You know what?" the kid ask.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"What?" Wendy said.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"A fine looking girl like you can help me for when I take on the gym leader, you can be cheering me on," said the kid holding Wendy's hand.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?  I WOULD NEVER GO OUT WITH AN UGLY KID LIKE YOU!!!!" said Wendy punching the kid in the head left and right.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"OOKKKKAAAAAAAYYYY STTTOOOOPPPPP!!!!!!!!!" said the kid yelling.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Your Pokémon are healed," said Nurse Joy giving Katie her Pokéballs, then look at Wendy and the kid.  "Stop it both of you.              There would be no fighting in the Pokémon Center."</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"DON'T EVER LOOK AT ME OR bother me again," said Wendy looking at Nurse Joy embarrassed.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Well come on Wendy," said Katie.  "We have a gym leader to fight."</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Okay," said Wendy looking at everybody in the Pokémon Center embarrass as she walked out.</B></div> <bR> <div> At the Gym Leader…</div> <bR> <div> <B>"Gym leader?  Where are you?" said Katie.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Katie," Wendy said.  "He is right in front of you."</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Huh who called my name?" Katie question.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"I'm the gym leader," the gym leader said.  "My name is Walter, if it's a battle you want it's a battle you'll have.  I will try my hardest."</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Good because that's exactly what I need for my Pokémon," said Katie.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"We will each use three Pokémon… go," said the Walter throwing out his Pokéball.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Go," said Katie also throwing out her Pokéball.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Ivysaur," said the Pokémon.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B><Ivysaur A Seed Pokémon. Pokémon that have two elements, like Ivysaur and Venusaur, have twice as many strengths and weaknesses as other Pokémon. When the bulb on it's back grows large, it appears to loose it's ability to stand on it's hind legs. ></B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Man that's a cool Pokémon," said Wendy.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Ivysaur use all your Vine Whips," said Walter.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Pidgeotto Agility," said Katie.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Pid," said the Pokémon flying towards at Ivysaur, but then disappeared then appeared right behind Ivysaur and start pecking Ivysaur on the head.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Now Mirror Move," said Katie.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Pidgeotto," said the Pokémon using the mirror move and shooting out Vine Whip, but Ivysaur blocked it with two his Vine Whip and hit Pidgeotto with the other two.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Pidgeotto," yelled the Pokémon in pain.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Pidgeotto use your Quick Attack," said Katie.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Ivysaur use your Vine whip," said Walter.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Ivy," said the Pokémon grabbing Pidgeotto just in time.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Now slam it," said Walter.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Ivy," said the Pokémon.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Pid, pid, pid, pid, pid," said the Pokémon yelling in pain as it kept hitting the floor.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Break it open with a Wing Attack," said Katie.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Pid," said the Pokémon obeying the order and breaking the Vine Whips.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Ivy," said the Pokémon going for another Vine Whip.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Pidgeotto dodge the Vine Whips and use Peck," said Katie.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Pidgeotto," said the Pokémon using Agility then going for Peck.  "Pid, pid, pid, pid, pid, pid, pid."</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Ivvvvvvyyyyyyy," said the Pokémon getting pain by ever peck.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Now let's finish it off," said Katie.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Ha, you can hand over your Pokémon in this patch," said a voice.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Sorry we had to interfere with your match," another voice.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"It's Team Alpha in case you haven't notice that yet Katie," said Wendy.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Who's Team Alpha?" said Katie.  "Oh yeah I don't think about them when I am battling."</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Quie-" said Erica, but was then cut off.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"What are you doing in my gym?" said Walter.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Can't you-" said Brett but was then-</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"WHAT ARE YOU TWO DUMB IDIOTS DOING-" Walter said.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Like we was saying hand over you Pokémon," said Erica.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"If you don't then you can go cry to your-" said Brett.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"I WAS JUST GOING TO WIN A BATTLE HERE," Walter said.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Moms," said Brett.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Ha, he was crying to his mom," said Katie.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"I was not I was-" said Brett but was then cut off.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"GET OUT OF MY GYM," said Walter.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Man lose your temper," said Katie.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Okay," said Erica.  "See you later."</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Alligator," said Brett calling out a Pokémon.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Voltorb," said the Pokémon.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B><Voltorb A Ball Pokémon. Voltorb's true identity is a mystery. The 100th Pokémon likes to use Screech to lower its enemy's defense, and then nail it with explosive attacks. Uses electric smoke attacks to disappear and confuse its enemies. Usually found in power plants. Easily mistaken for a Pokéball, they have zapped many people. If the odds are against a Voltorb, it may self-destruct to avoid capture. ></B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Wow this Pokémon must be a good Pokémon to have on a team," said Wendy.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"That's why I picked it out," said Brett.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Go," said Erica.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Krabby," said the Pokémon.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B><Krabby A River Crab Pokémon. Krabby can be found in countless parts of the world. Beware: Krabby is dangerous when using it's claws. They'll attack anyone or anything that enters their territory. Use the super rod to find It.It's also found in the Safari Zone. it's pincers are not only powerful weapons, they are used for balance when walking sideways. Krabby can be found sidling along in nearly every stream, river, and ponds. ></B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Wow," said Katie.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"These were the first Pokémon we had ever started off with ever since we left from Professor Johnson's lab," said Erica.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Wait a minute, you guys were Pokémon trainers from Professor Johnson's lab like we were?" Katie asked.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Yes, but we weren't good at catching Pokémon when we were in Kanto," said Brett. </B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Yes," said Erica.  "You see when we were on the nugget bridge we saw a person that asked us to join Team Rocket."</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"But we didn't want to join Team Rocket because at school, we heard that they were stupid," said Brett.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"So we decided to do what our parents are doing," said Erica.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Trying to steal Pokémon like yours," said Brett.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Fine let's have a battle," said Katie.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Where did Walter go?"  Wendy asked.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Huh?" Walter said.  "I was standing right next to you for the whole time."</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Well it didn't seem like that because your big mouth was shut," said Wendy.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"HEY I DON'T HAVE A BIG MOUTH," said Walter with his big mouth open.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Go Growly," said Katie.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Growlithe," said the Pokémon.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Growly use jump on top of Pidgeotto and go for a Flamethrower, Pidgeotto use Quick Attack," said Katie.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Growlithe," said the Pokémon shaking his head at Pidgeotto.  Growly jumped right on top of Pidgeotto.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Voltorb use Thundershockon that Pidgeotto," said Brett.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Voltorb," said the Pokémon as it went for a Thundershock going straight at Pidgeotto.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Pidgeotto use Agility," said Katie.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Pidgeotto," said the Pokémon disappearing then reappearing right behind Voltorb.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Krabby use Bubble Beam," said Erica.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Karb," said the Pokémon as it went for a Bubble Beam.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Pidgeotto Agility," said Katie.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Pidgeotto," said the Pokémon disappearing and going straight up in the air.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Voltorb use Thundershock on that Pidgeotto," said Brett.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>Voltrob went for a Thundershock, but the Bubbles hit Voltorb because of the Agility.  So the Bubble Beam attack caused the Thundershock to get stronger hurting Voltorb and Pidgeotto and Growly.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Pidgeotto try to stay up in the air," said Katie. </B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Pidgeotto," said the Pokémon recovering, and then looking at Growly.  </B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Growly," said the Pokémon shaking his head.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Pidgeotto use your Quick Attack on Voltorb, but also come down with a Peck."</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Pidgeotto, said the Pokémon coming down full speed at Voltorb Pecking him directly on the head.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Everybody run," said Wendy as they all ran outside as Voltrob exploded.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa," Team Alpha yelled as they both flew away.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Hey lets steal a line from Team Rocket," Erica said.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"I know I have the book in my pocket," Brett said rhyming.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Looks like Team Rocket is blasting off again," they both yelled imitating Team Rocket.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Well Katie thank you for saving my gym, but I think because of the explosion we will have to battle outside," said Walter.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>*          *          *          *          *          *          </B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Well you pick the rules," said Katie.  "I don't care what they are."</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"You really don't care?" said Walter.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Whatever you put is fine with me," said Katie.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Okay then," Walter said rubbing his two little beards.  "It will be the three of my Pokémon versus the two of your Pokémon."</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Hey," Wendy said.  "What kind of dumb rule is that?  Just because she beat up Team Alpha-" </B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"I have my ways," said Walter interrupting Wendy and throwing a Pokéball.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Bulbasaur," said the Pokémon.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B><Bulbasaur A Seed Pokémon.  Bulbasaur is a strong, manageable Pokémon for beginning trainers. Bulbasaur is in better shape than the other Pokémon like Charmander and Squirtle, which makes it harder to defeat and capture. A strange seed was planted on its back at birth. The plant grows and sprouts as this Pokémon grows. Scientists are unsure whether to classify Bulbasaur as a plant or animal. ></B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Go," said Walter throwing other two Pokéballs.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B><Oddish A Weed Pokémon. Oddish is, well, odd. During the day, it keeps its face buried in the ground. At night, it wanders around sowing it's seeds. It likes first to Poison or Stun its opponents before it drains their energy with its Absorb attack. Uses some attacks such as Bash. Also uses Poison Vein to attack its enemies. At higher levels, this Pokémon has many special abilities. It's Petal Dance hurts and confuses other Pokémon. Oddish uses Solar Beam to increase it's own energy on it's first turn so it can have an extra powerful attack on it's second turn. > </B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Ivysaur," said the Pokémon.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Oddish," said the Pokémon.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"HEY, I THOUGHT YOU SAID THAT IT WAS TWO AGAINST THREE," said Katie.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Yes that is exactly how it is," said Walter, but someone tapped him in the shoulder.  "Yes."</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"YOU ARE SO SCARED," said Wendy smacking Walter across the face.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Ow," said Walter in pain.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Go Growly and Pidgeotto," said Katie.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Growly."</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Pidgeotto."</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Okay Pidgeotto I want you to attack Ivysaur and Bulbasaur.  Growly attack Oddish," said Katie.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Pidgggggeeeee," said the Pokémon flying full speed at Ivysaur.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Bulbasaur and Ivysaur attack with all your vine whips," said Walter.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Pidgeotto use Agility then the Peck," Katie commanded.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Pigeotto," said the Pokémon flying full speed at Bulbasaur, but then disappeared and reappear right behind Ivysaur and Pecked it.  After that, he reappeared right behind Bulbasaur and started using Fury Attack on her.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Growlithe," said the Pokémon running up to Oddish.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Oddish use Tackle," said Walter.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Growly, Flamethrower," said Katie.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Growl," said the Pokémon winking at Katie then used Falmethrower on Oddish who fainted.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Ivysaur help out Bulbasaur," said Walter.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Ivy," said the Pokémon using his Vine Whips and wrapped it around Pidgeotto's leg.  Soon after Pidgeotto turn around and Ivysaur was slapping Pidgeotto back and forth with his vines.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Bulba," said the Pokémon recovering from the Fury Attack, and then helped Ivysaur with her Vine Whips.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Growly," said Katie.  "You have to help Pidgeotto."</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Growlithe," said the Pokémon running up to Bulbasaur and Tackling her.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Bulba," said the Pokémon angry as it took its vines and started whipping Growly.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Growly try to dig," said Katie.  </B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Growlithe," said the Pokémon as he went underground while getting whipped.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Bulba," said the Pokémon shrugging her vines and then going back to Ivysaur and helping Ivysaur whip Pidgeotto.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Growl," said the Pokémon coming up from underground and hit Ivysaur with a Dig.  After Ivysaur flew up in the air Growly Tackled Bulbasaur, then used Flamethrower on Ivysaur causing him to faint.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Pidgeotto use Quick Attack on Bulbasaur," said Katie.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Bulbasaur return," said Walter as he called back all of his Pokémon.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Piddgggggeeeeoootttttoooo," said the Pokémon when it hit the ground.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"LOOK WHAT YOU DID TO MY PIDGEOTTO," said Katie as she ran after Walter.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>"Here take the badge," said Walter, but then he was knocked out cold.</B></div> <bR> </td> </tr></table></body>
