Wendy asked.</div> <bR> <div> "Wendy?" said Katie.  "We know them."</div> <bR> <div> "Oh yeah," said Wendy.</div> <bR> <div> "So you want to have a battle?" Afro said.</div> <bR> <div> "Yes," said Erica.</div> <bR> <div> "What are your names?" Samantha question.</div> <bR> <div> "I'm Erica, I always battle for the mood," said Erica.</div> <bR> <div> "I'm Brett, and Erica's breath smells like Gloom," said Brett rhyming.</div> <bR> <div> "WHAT, HOW DARE YOU MAKE FUN OF ME?" said Erica punching Brett in the head.</div> <bR> <div> "Stop it, I was just trying to rhyme," said Brett yelling in pain.</div> <bR> <div> "I know how he feels," said Nick.  "Because I'm always getting slapped by my cutie Samantha.</div> <bR> <div> "WHAT!" Samantha said slapping Nick across the face.</div> <bR> <div> "The pain of love," Nick said.</div> <bR> <div> "We will each use one Pokémon," said Erica.  "Go…"</div> <bR> <div> "WHO'S THAT Pokémon… IT'S MEWTWO `I'm going to take over the world'," Nick said.</div> <bR> <div> "Why did you say that Nick?" Samantha asked.</div> <bR> <div> "Aren't we going to a commercial?  It is supposed to be a lunch break," said Nick. </div> <bR> <div> "Krabby," said Erica.</div> <bR> <div> "Go Voltorb," said Brett.</div> <bR> <div> "Voltorb," said the Pokémon using Explosion.</div> <bR> <div> "No," They all yelled.</div> <bR> <div> "Let's run," Katie said.</div> <bR> <div> "Okay," Nick who keeps on running into a wall.</div> <bR> <div> "Nick c'mon let's get out of here," Samantha said grabbing Nick arm.</div> <bR> <div> "What should we do?" Erica question.</div> <bR> <div> "Let's stay here because we have Mountain Dew," said Brett.</div> <bR> <div> "Vol," said the Pokémon Exploding.</div> <bR> <div> "We will be back," they said flying away.</div> <bR> <div> "That was close," said Wendy.</div> <bR> <div> "We still have to finish our battle," said Katie.</div> <bR> <div> "Yeah," Afro said agreeing.</div> <bR> <div> "Okay then, we will fight outside here," said Peter.</div> <bR> <div> "Go… Bulbasaur," said Afro.</div> <bR> <div> "Go Pidgeotto," said Katie.</div> <bR> <div> "Saur."</div> <bR> <div> "Pid."</div> <bR> <div> "Go Ivysaur and Sandslash," said Peter throwing out his two Pokéballs.</div> <bR> <div> "Ivy."</div> <bR> <div> "Sand."</div> <bR> <div> <Ivysaur A Seed Pokémon. Pokémon that have two elements, like Ivysaur and Venusaur, have twice as many strengths and weaknesses as other Pokémon. When the bulb on it's back grows large, it appears to loose it's ability to stand on it's hind legs. ></div> <bR> <div> <Sandslash A Mouse Pokémon. Equipped with spikes on it's back. Curls up into a spiny ball just like a porcupine when threatened. It can roll while curled up to attack or escape. With it's Fury Swipes technique, Sandslash can attack two to five times in a row. Be sure not to leave this Pokémon out where someone can step on it. Ouch! ></div> <bR> <div> "Wow," said Katie.  "A Sandslash."</div> <bR> <div> "Please," said Samantha.  "My Sandshrew is still better."</div> <bR> <div> "Sandslash attack," said Peter.</div> <bR> <div> "Sand," said the Pokémon extended his arm and Slashing Bulbasaur in the face.</div> <bR> <div> "Oh no," said Afro calling back Bulbasaur.</div> <bR> <div> "Pidgeotto Agility," said Katie.</div> <bR> <div> "Pid," said the Pokémon dodging another one of Sandslah's Slash.</div> <bR> <div> "Quick Attack Ivysaur," Katie commanded.</div> <bR> <div> "Ivysaur, Vine Whip," said Peter.</div> <bR> <div> "Ivy," said the Pokémon knocking Pidgeotto back.</div> <bR> <div> "Come on Pidgeotto try to get up," said Katie.</div> <bR> <div> "Pid," said the Pokémon getting up. </div> <bR> <div> "All right Pidgeotto use Agility and Quick Attack," said Katie.</div> <bR> <div> "Pid," said the Pokémon flying straight at Sandslash.</div> <bR> <div> "Sand," said he Pokémon getting ready to Slash Pidgeotto, but Pidgeotto disappeared and reappeared right in front of Ivysaur and hit him hard with a Quick Attack.</div> <bR> <div> "Good now try Fury Attack," Katie commanded.</div> <bR> <div> "Pid," said the Pokémon.</div> <bR> <div> "Slash Sandslash, and Ivysaur Razor Leafs," Peter demanded.</div> <bR> <div> "Pid," said the Pokémon barley dodging the Razor Leafs, but was hit by one.  Then Pidgeotto got the advantage by flying right into Ivysaur, and then disappeared.</div> <bR> <div> "Get ready for the Slash," Peter said.</div> <bR> <div> "Pid," said the Pokémon reappearing right in front of Sandslash.</div> <bR> <div> "Slash," said the Pokémon slashing Pidgeotto hard.</div> <bR> <div> "Pid," cried the Pokémon in pain.</div> <bR> <div> "Pidgeotto return," said Katie.</div> <bR> <div> "Man that Pidgeotto was strong, but I know that it's time for me to use Primeape," said Afro pulling out another Pokéball.</div> <bR> <div> "Right and I know just what Pokémon to use," said Katie.</div> <bR> <div> "Man do you guys think that they will lose?" Nick asked.</div> <bR> <div> "Nick, aren't you on our side?" Samantha and Wendy said at the same time.</div> <bR> <div> "No actually I'm on that pretty looking gym leader," Nick said with hearts around his face.</div> <bR> <div> "Nick that gym leader is a boy!" Wendy said.</div> <bR> <div> "Oh sorry," Nick said scratching his head.  "It's been a while since I saw any girls."</div> <bR> <div> "WHAT WE ARE GIRLS TOO," Samantha and Wendy said smacking Nick in the face back and forth.</div> <bR> <div> "Go Nidorina," said Katie.</div> <bR> <div> "Nido," said the Pokémon.</div> <bR> <div> "Wow," said Afro.</div> <bR> <div> <Nidorina A Poison Pin Pokémon. The female's horn develops slowly. Prefers physical attacks such as clawing and biting. Be sure to have learnt them all before you evolve it into Nidoqueen using the Moonstone. ></div> <bR> <div> "That's a cool Pokémon, do you have a Moon Stone for that Pokémon?" Afro question.</div> <bR> <div> "Well," Wendy said.  "Katie I've been meaning to tell you this, I have a M-"</div> <bR> <div> "Go Primeape," said Afro throwing out his Pokéball.</div> <bR> <div> "Prime," said the Pokémon.</div> <bR> <div> <Primeape A Pig Monkey Pokémon. Always furious and tenacious to boot. They will not allow anyone to look at them, unless they want to be beaten up. If you make eye contact with this bad-tempered ape, get ready to run for your life! It will not abandon chasing its quarry until it is caught. Primeape has an incredible temper, and that makes it doubly dangerous in combat. Its attacks are formidable. Its Karate Chop technique is impressive. Uses faster attacks and is very defensive. It will only obey its master when it is shown real care. ></div> <bR> <div> "That's why they didn't listen to Team Rocket," said Afro.</div> <bR> <div> "Cool you have a Primeape?" said Katie.</div> <bR> <div> "A Primeape won't do anything good for you…  Ivysaur Vine Whip, and Slash Fury Swipes," Peter commanded.</div> <bR> <div> "Primeape look out," said Afro.</div> <bR> <div> "Prime," said the Pokémon blocking the Fury Swipes with his left hand.</div> <bR> <div> "Now use Comet Punch," Afro commanded.</div> <bR> <div> "Okay Nidorina let's go.  Use Horn Attack," Katie commanded.</div> <bR> <div> "Nido," said the Pokémon using her Horns on Ivysaur.</div> <bR> <div> "Sand," said Sandslash each time he got hit by the Comet Punch.</div> <bR> <div> "Nidorina try Poison Sting," said Katie.</div> <bR> <div> "Nido," said the Pokémon shooting out Poison Stings at Ivysaur.</div> <bR> <div> "Slash," said the Pokémon getting up.</div> <bR> <div> "Sandslash use dig," Peter commanded.</div> <bR> <div> "Sand," said the Pokémon digging underground.</div> <bR> <div> "Now use all the power you can to use Dig on Nidorina," Peter commanded.</div> <bR> <div> "Nido?" said the Pokémon confused.</div> <bR> <div> "Ssaaaaannndddd," said the Pokémon using all his power to use Dig on Nidorina.</div> <bR> <div> "Nidorina return," Katie said pulling out her Pokéball.</div> <bR> <div> "Primeape try to pick up Ivysaur," Afro said.</div> <bR> <div> "Prime," said the Pokémon picking up Ivysaur.</div> <bR> <div> "Now use Seismic Toss, and make it land on Sandslash," Afro commanded.</div> <bR> <div> "Prime," said the Pokémon jumping way up in the air with Ivysaur, and then throwing him down on top of Sandslash.</div> <bR> <div> "Oh no," said Peter calling back his Pokémon.</div> <bR> <div> "I know exactly which Pokémon to use," said Katie pulling out her Pokéball.</div> <bR> <div> "Same here I'm going to use my first Pokémon," said Afro pulling out his.</div> <bR> <div> "Same here," Kati said.</div> <bR> <div> "Go," they both said together.</div> <bR> <div> "Charmander," said the Pokémon.</div> <bR> <div> "Growlithe," said the Pokémon also.</div> <bR> <div> "Alright Growly we're going to have to win this one together," said Katie petting him on the head.</div> <bR> <div> "You too Charmander," said Afro.</div> <bR> <div> "Go," said Peter throwing out his two Pokéballs.</div> <bR> <div> "Oddish," said the Pokémon.</div> <bR> <div> "Tan," said the other.</div> <bR> <div> "Hmm," said Katie pulling out her Pokédex.</div> <bR> <div> <Oddish A Weed Pokémon. Oddish is, well, odd. During the day, it keeps its face buried in the ground. At night, it wanders around sowing its seeds. It likes first to Poison or Stun its opponents before it drains their energy with its Absorb attack. Uses some attacks such as Bash. Also uses Poison Vein to attack its enemies. At higher levels, this Pokémon has many special abilities. It's Petal Dance hurts and confuses other Pokémon. Oddish uses Solar Beam to increase it's own energy on it's first turn so it can have an extra powerful attack on it's second turn. ></div> <bR> <div> <Tangela A Vine Pokémon The whole body is swathed with wide vines that are similar to seaweed. It's vines shake as it walks. Tangela is one of the shyest Pokémon. Most people refer to it as the walking plate of spaghetti, but it's actually not bad. It can be extremely shy, but be patient. Tangela is worth searching for. It has an excellent defense. ></div> <bR> <div> "Man I'm really going to need a grass Pokémon on my team," Katie said.</div> <bR> <div> "Oddish Absorb," Peter commanded.</div> <bR> <div> "Okay Growly you have the advantage so try to use a Ember," Katie commanded.</div> <bR> <div> "Growl," said the Pokémon in pain.</div> <bR> <div> "Man that Absorb is really working," Samantha said.</div> <bR> <div> "Come on Growly fight it off," Katie yelled.</div> <bR> <div> "Growl," said the Pokémon using Ember, but was weak because of the Absorb. </div> <bR> <div> "Come on Growly, try to fight it."</div> <bR> <div> "Charmander use Flamethrower on Tangela," Afro demanded.</div> <bR> <div> "Char," said the Pokémon using its Flamethrower on Tangela, but Tangela jumped out of the way and used Constrict.</div> <bR> <div> "Char," said the Pokémon weakly each time he squeezed the Constrict.</div> <bR> <div> "Growly help Charmander with a Flamethrower," Katie said.</div> <bR> <div> "Growl," said the Pokémon using the Flamethrower, but not as strong.</div> <bR> <div> "Char," said the Pokémon breaking free.</div> <bR> <div> "Charmander let's end this use Fire Blast on Oddish to help Growly," Afro said.</div> <bR> <div> "Char," said the Pokémon using Fire Blast on Oddish.</div> <bR> <div> "Oddish," said the Pokémon going down.</div> <bR> <div> "Return… it's up to you Tangela, I know you can do it," said Peter cheering on Tangela.</div> <bR> <div> "Tan," said the Pokémon shaking his head, but when it turned around, he had a double Team Flamethrower at him.</div> <bR> <div> "Return," said Peter calling back his Pokémon.</div> <bR> <div> Moments later…</div> <bR> <div> "I still can't believe we finally won," said Nick.</div> <bR> <div> "Nick you weren't even the one battling," Samantha said shaking her head.</div> <bR> <div> "If you keep doing that your head will fall off," Nick said shaking his head too.</div> <bR> <div> "Nick," Afro said.</div> <bR> <div> "Be quiet head," Nick said.</div> <bR> <div> "I'm really going to miss you Nick… bye," Wendy said hugging Nick.</div> <bR> <div> "Well it was nice meeting you Afro," said Katie shaking his hand.</div> <bR> <div> "I hope we meet at the Plateau League," said Afro.</div> <bR> <div> "Bye," they all said.</div> <bR> <div> "Oh wait the Pokémon gym leader uses grass Pokémon," Katie said.</div> <bR> <div> "What did she say?"
