"I wish we didn't have to do this. You know how I hate battling. Your just gonna have to do this on your own because I have NOOOO experience with these things." Lucur gave her a thumbs up as he stepped into the arena. A large Charmeleon step in on the other side. The bell rang to start the match. Lucur jumped into the air with his springy legs and fell like a rock with tail slam. The first match ended with a sickening thud and lucur went on to the second match. Next was a snorting rapidash with a fearsome glint to its eye. The horse charged but lucur leapt and latched on to its neck. No matter how hard rapidash tried to shake him off lucur just bit deeper. That round ended as rapidash crumpled to the ground in a pitiful heap. Soon after a growlithe was sent out. The growlithe was tough, it took three crab hammers to knock it out. At this point lucur was allowed a rest by rules, though he really didn't need one. Melenie just sat and starred at lucur, if he could have done this why did he cringe under the ring masters whip? Round four started off with a snorting yorono floating in to the ring. Yorono was the gray smoke dragon, evolved form of yoroy the white smoke dragon, and would eventually evolve into yoronoho the black smoke dragon. They all had some sort of helium like air inside and their tattered wings were just for propulsion. This time lucur's opponent attacked first. Yorono used a horrible smog attack which it thought had blinded lucur. He quickly countered with a surf wave that enveloped the smog and knocked out yorono. Out came a quilava. Lucur was not in his element. The water and smog had turned into a substitute oil. Quilava instantly realized this. With a burst of flame lucur was engulfed by towering infernos all around him. Something about lucur changed, a serious look to his eye plus a maniac glint. He suddenly rushed at quilava head first. Quilava went flying into the stands. Lucur just stood there unfazed, waiting for the next opponent. After an immense silence a huge, roaring charizard stepped up. Lucur opened up his crab claws, his hands shot out like bungie cords and latched on to charizard. What extended behind his hands looked like a shrimps body but with a hole lot more segments. Lucur lifted up charizard and slammed him down that he made a dent 5 feet deep with the body. The gym badge won, lucur walked unnaturally towards Melenie, who whimpered and moved away.
