It is a long and winding road that will eventually drop Adam off in Cherrygrove City. He will have to walk through tall grass to make it to his next destination, so he'll have to be ready to battle with some Pokemon! Unfortunately, he can't catch them without some Poke Balls...</div> <div> "Hey, Chikorita, what do you think of the weather today?", Adam asked his pokemon as they were on their way to Cherrygrove City. "Chika, rita, chirita, chi, ka!", which means, "I think it's a beautiful morning!" After consulting Prof.Elm, Adam had found out that Chikorita only knew Tackle and Growl, and that he would have to train Chikorita if he wanted it to learn any stronger attacks. "Hello there, young trainer!", a young, feminine voice called out from a small field surrounded by shrubs. "I have an item to give to you to help make your pokemon stronger. It's called the Pink Bow. Tie it around your pokemon's neck as it is sleeper and the strength of it's normal-type attacks will be boosted." "Gee, thanx!" Adam exclaimed. "Anytime," the young girl, whose name is Tuscany, answered.</div> <div> A few minutes after this encounter, Adam was attacked by a wild Sentret. However, two tackles from Chikorita was enough to knock it out.</div> <div> After about 10 more minutes worth of walking, Adam arrived in Cherrygrove City. Cherrygrove City has a Pokemon Mart and Pokemon Center, but it doesn't have a Gym.</div> <div> "You there, young man. Would you like me to show you around Cherrygrove City?" Adam turned around to see an old man addressing him. "Yes, please, that would be great!" Adam responded. It may have looked like a small town, but Adam took him up on his offer anyway. After showing Adam the locations of the Pokemart, Pokecenter, Route 30 and his house, he gave Adam a Map Card for his Pokegear. When inserted into the Pokegear, a map of the Johto Region will appear.</div> <div> The next thing Adam did was enter the Pokemon Center. "Hello there, young man! Would you like me to heal your pokemon back to perfect health?" Adam didn't think this would be necessary, until he remembered the battle with the Sentret, and decided to heal Chikorita. "Yes, please, ma'am." Adam handed her his poke balls and headed over to the Pokemon Mart to do some shopping. He decided to buy two potions and one antidote. Then he headed back to the Pokemon Center to pick up his Pokemon. "There you go young man. You're pokemon is in perfect health. Have a nice day." "Thank you, and you too, Nurse Joy!" And with that, Adam was headed to Routes 30 and 31.</div> <div> Route 30 and 31 were fairly uncomplicated roads-unfortunately, Adam would have to wander off the path to make it to Mr. Pokemon's house to finish Professor Elm's errand.</div> <div> On his way down Route 30, Adam found a little house right next to the path. Adam stepped inside to find a man there. "Hello there, young lad," said the man. "Would you like to know a little pokemon secret?" "Ummm...aren't you kinda mad I walked right into your house?" Adam asked. "No, no, not at all. Anyways, the secret is, if you feed your pokemon berries, they will be able to heal themselves in battle!" "Really?" Adam asked excitedly. "Oh yeah. In fact, I'll give you a berry right now. Also, in my yard, there's a berry tree, and you can pick a berry from there, too!" "Gee, thanks alot mister!" "Anything to help a beginner trainer like yourself, young gentleman." And Adam accepted the berry from the man and also snuck off with three from the man's tree.</div> <div> Finally, Adam came across another little house in the middle of a wooded meadow. When Adam entered, he found Mr. Pokemon, along with his friend, Professor Oak. "Hello there, Adam, we've been expecting you," said Mr. Pokemon. "Here, I have a Mystery Egg for you to take to Professor Elm. This could be the evidence that proves that pokemon lay eggs, so don't harm it!" "Don't worry, Mr. Pokemon, you can trust Adam here," said Professor Oak. Adam looked startled, so Prof. Oak began to explain. "You see, I see the potential in you to become a Pokemon Master, so I am giving you this Pokedex, which has information on any pokemon you may come across. It will also allow you to catch wild pokemon, as soon as you buy some poke balls!" "Wow, thanx alot Professor!" "You're welcome, Adam. But now you must get on your way back to New Bark Town before Prof. Elm worries." Drrring, drrrriiing. It was Adam's cell phone ringing. "Hello?" "Adam, this is Professor Elm. Return to the lab ASAP. Something terrible has happened, so please hurry!" "Ok, Prof., I'll be there as soon as I can." And with this, Adam leaves to make his way back to New Bark Town.</div> <div> Author's Note</div> <div> So...what could it be that happened at Prof. Elm's Lab? What can Adam do to help?
