Before You Begin
Wear loose, comfortable clothing, so you can stretch out.
Never wear shoes.
When doing the exercises, proceed slowly, and don't strain.
For maximum results, practice the exercises for 5 to 10 minutes each morning and evening.
If at any time an exercise increases your pain, stop doing it immediately!
Remember to focus on the breath during the poses. The breathing is an integral piece to the yoga exercise. Usually, the pose is started with an inhalation and while moving out of the pose, there is an exhalation.
Caution: If you have a disk problem or are currently in a great deal of pain, check with your doctor before you take up yoga.
