THE EXPEDITION TO MONGOLIA. - During the Christmas annual dinner of the Potomac it Fences I Radiate Club (PVRC) in Tyson, Virginia, they attended Ken K4ZW and Karl K4YT, to narrate their experience in the QTH of JT1CO, north 25 miles of Ulanbaatar, Mongolia where it has a tower of almost 90 feet of high with a HyGain TH-11 and a yagi for 6 meters as well as a vertical one for 160, 80 and 40. They operated JT1/K4ZW in the CQWW achieving 2,800 QSO in 36 hours.

A HUNDRED YEARS. - December 15 100 years they were completed of of the first successful transmission of double via carried out by Guillermo Marconi, from Glace Bay, Nova Scotia in Canada, until Poldhu, Cornwall, England. 6 METERS HONOR ROLL IN MS. - Randy WA5UFH is promoting the use of the band of 6 meters notably and now it has thrown the SIX HONOR ROLL MS - besides that already is working with the same topic in the band of two meters - but all the contacts should be made by Meteor Scatter and who has carried out the biggest grid number during the previous month, it will be placed up of the Honor Roll. PROPAGATION

Tad Cook, K7VVV, points out in its weekly work on the propagation that you improved the conditions lightly during the week, with a solar flow that arrived at 170.

These long nights that approach are good for the band 40 meters, but the high frequencies close their propagation early. The winter solstice will be in America of the North December 21 and after that one will be able to notice a slow progress toward the spring propagation.

During the week the solar flow registered an average of 153.2 units and the index "K" of 9.7.

On the other hand Neil Clarke, G0CAS, points out in its weekly work on the propagation he notices that the flow during the week ascended from 146 to 154, while the speed of the solar wind, according to the data of the space ship ISS registered increments from 380 to 650 kilometers per second.

The bands of HF have been a little depressed, opening up around the exit of the sun and closing to the decline. In some afternoons in 28MHZ he closed when arriving the darkness. One didn't have any report of Europe of dawns of VHF.
In 50MHZ the openings in this month between America of the North and Europe were common.
For the week it is expected that the MUFs during the hours of the light of the day in same latitudes should be around 34MHz for the south and 31MHz for the north.
