DX NOTES

THE MOST LOOKED. - with the purpose of knowing which countries of the DXCC they are really those more looked for by the radius interested from all over the world, the magazine "The DX Magazine" he has opened a space in www.dxpub.com  so that all vote for the countries that consider they are those most looked for ones. This space will be available to vote up to October 15. After counting the votes, the results will be correspondents to "The DX Magazine" and in the magazine of January-February the looked for list of the 100 will appear. In that of March-April another part of the received votes will appear. (Thank you XE1BEF and HK3BZO).

DXCC IN 9 BANDS. - after many intents of David VK3EW achieved the hunt of Ake 5R8FU, of Madagascar making Qso in the band of 160 meters and with that it was able to complete its excellent record of the DXCC in the 9 bands. The manager of 5R8FU, John SM5DJZ ordered him to say by mail electronic that a special prize should exist for this achievement. (Happiness! David, wishes you the "DX Bulletin of XE1BEF).

WHO IS WHO IN TOPBAND? - And concerning the top band, you will be able to find out they have the biggest achievements in the band of 160 meters of who. In this page he will be able to find at least 500 stations listed in 8 categories. And you can send their data to Nick, VK1AA vk1aa@qsl.net  or to revise everything in http://www.qsl.net/160

NEWS OF THE DXCC. - The manager of the ARRL DXCC, Bill Moore, NC1L, he has informed that they were already accepted for the DXCC the operations of Myanmar - XY3C, XY5T, XY7V, XY0TA, XY4KQ and XY3EZ (August 1-25 2002). Afghanistan - YA/G0TQJ (operation of April 30 of 2002 at July 11 2002).

To OPEN THE DOOR. - The promotion of the radioafición should be a permanent activity of the radius interested from all over the world and to have the support of the authorities. However, they are very few those that decide to dedicate part of their free time to teach the first steps for those that seek to get their license of radio operator, or much less to teach CW or to manufacture antennas or to operate in digital ways, or to encourage them to that participate in competitions so that they become trained to operate quickly. In Mexico, for example, to achieve of the SCT the license of a special prefix to operate approximately in a competition international hill 85 dollars, that which doesn't represent any encouragement neither stimulus neither for the operator, neither for the radioafición. Rather it seems that they seek that it continues being a hobby of rich men. Fortunately, the some countries like England promote every year to grant all the facilities so that they enter interested new radio - I eat we have already mentioned before it in this Bulletin - and recently in Puerto Rico the radio was promoted among official of the National Watch and 60 of them were already examined and in some more days they will have its license. http://prarl.org/actividades.html#Technician  (thank you XE1BEF).

THE OPERATOR YOUNG MA. - In Thailand, a license of radio operator has been granted to the youngest XL - probably in the world - since Thanaporn Longcharoen is hardly 8 years of age old and he already received its license as E27ZI to operate in VHF, although its big likings are the radius of short wave and to sing in the Karaoke. You can look for it in the frequency 144.950 mhz. Their father is Pongprasert HS2CRU. If he wants to know it, see their pictures in http://www.geocities.com/e27zi

PIRATE. - From September 15 it has been reported in several occasions the station 7Q7YE who he says that their Qsl mánager is JR3QHQ, but Taka it assures that it is not its mánager and that the station is pirate. (Thank you Yuki JI6KVR, of IOTA-JA).

MAGNETIC ANTENNAS. - The magnetic antennas are considered as the best to use from the garden of their house, or in a country operation, or until in a vehicle besides that their design is not difficult and its material is of reduced cost. In this place you will not only find diverse designs but rather you will also be able to know the opinions since of many that have used them, he stays an open forum. http://hamradio-portal.com  (Thank you José Luis HJ3ORT).

EXAMPLE to CONTINUE. - Alejandro Griffa is a hardly 16 year-old Argentinean. You have grieved for 2 years it participated in a course to process their license of radio fan, otorgándosele the prefix LU7FLD that corresponds to novice's category. Today is very popular to have been able to communicate with one of the astronauts that integrate the fifth expedition in the International Space Station (ISS) that rotates around the Earth every 90 minutes to 390 kilometers high to a speed 27 thousand kilometers per hour.
          LU7FLD
The ISS began to be built in 1998 and it will be finished in the 2006 to undertake and to experience new technologies, medications and products in an isolated atmosphere of the terrestrial graveness. It had been Alejandro making the intent during several days but from their QTH he didn't have a good sign, for what transferred their radio FT-2400 until the Aero Club Casilda, where it achieved their objective. Alejandro spoke with the Russian astronaut Valeri Korzum, major of the mission, maintaining a dialogue in English of little more than two minutes, which was recorded as memory. I felt much very excited - he tells the Argentinean newspaper The Capital, when the Russian astronaut wondered what team and antennas were using to achieve the contact. Now, it conserves as a treasure the recording that he carried out of the contact and it is so excited that he has intended to communicate with the singer of the rock group Aerosmith when it travels in the ship. He also plans to study some career related with the radio. (Thank you XE1BEF, Radio Club Casilda LU1FF and "Latin Radioaficionado").

ANTENNA MULTIBANDER. - For many, the biggest obstacle to be able to have a good antenna, is the space lack and the economic cost that it represents. However, thanks to the genius of radio operators like KB8LPZ, I assure you that you will be able to build an antenna multibanda that operates perfectly for the hunt of DX in the bands of 6, 10, 12, 15, 17 and 20 meters that you will be able to put it perfectly on your small garden or on the roof of the QTH without tower necessity or previous mast. And also, the cost of construction of this Dipolo Delta Multibanda is much very economic. But maybe that that more it will interest you it is the simplicity of their design that is facilitated with the great quantity of pictures that their author provides, as well as of some comparative graphics of his efficiency. http://forsale.goodnews.net/dudloop.html  (Thank you XE1BEF).

QSL MANAGER. - Mario 4S7BRG say that HB9BRM is no longer its Qsl manager. Now the QSL should be sent to the desk of 4S or to look for their address in qrz.com and buckmaster.com.

QSL 8Q7AM. - The Qsl mánager of Ali 8Q7AM are José EA5MB and the log it is already available in: http://webs.ono.com/usr002/ea5mb/

SWL. - to Listen commercial stations of radio of other countries also represents a much very interesting and exciting hobby, because with the exchange of the QSL it can be proven before the friends that some interesting station was listened. Fortunately, now with the net of Internet it has been facilitated enough this activity, since you can contact at once with clubs, or the frequencies can be known, schedules of transmission in different languages, and in some cases, until listening the station for the net. I invite you so that you experience emotions practicing the diexismo. In this page you will find the data to listen to more than 200 stations in the world, as well as addresses of clubs, software to take the report of what you listen, articles on the topic, design of antennas and many other things. http://members.fortunecity.com/xe1bef/swl.htm  (Thank you XE1BEF).

DX HAVE. - Lech LA7MFA has settled down in an internet page a Magazine DX in the one that initially information of interest was provided for the Danish and Swedish DXers, but now they are including articles in English for what considers that it can be very interesting for many operators or contesters in the world. Some of the articles of interest that are already available are those of OH2BR, SM0AGD and LA1EE http://www.qsl.net/ladxg

PIRATE. - The station ST0/ST2SA/p has been reported very active in diverse bands, but Sid ST2SA says that it is a station pirate.

BAND 5MHZ. - The NTIA - The National Telecommunications and Information Administration - it is recommending the FCC that should not grant in United States like secondary band you 5 MHZ to the interested radius. They notice that in that band, the federal agencies, as well as it stops emergency services, and support communications for the Departament of Defense, Coastal Guard and the Department of Justice they are making use of the same one and the NTIA it regulates the spectrum and they consider that there would be risk of interferences with the radioaficionados toward those government services. They estimate that it could work with certain limitations, as a shorter segment and under transmission power, as well as geographical restrictions.

RECORD IN 24GHz. - I Eat we already inform before them, September 7 Dave Robinson, G4FRE, operating as WW2R/5, and To the Ward, W5LUA, imposed a record in 24,192MHz. Dave was operating portable in EM41HC near Natchez, Mississippi, and W5LUA was operating of its house in EM13QC, in Mc Allen, Texas. The report exchanged in CW was of 549. The distance was of 337.3 miles or 542.8 kilometers. They didn't use any other connection neither cellular telephone. They tried to repeat the QSO but during 12 hours the intents were useless. He makes sure that in the moment of the contact it was not listened to speak among them in 2 meters or 70 centimeters.

Tad Cook K7VVV points out in its weekly article on the propagation that, during on Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesday he registered an impressive dawn in the northern latitudes and when this happens, the polar propagation of HF becomes very weak. OK1HH sent him an electronic mail where it estimates that among September 18-19 the conditions will be quiet. For next days, the forecast of the NOAA of the Air force American prevé a solar flow of 215 at 220, but below 200 September 22.

Don't forget the autumnal equinox in that this year will be at 0448z September 23 and this it will be a great opportunity for the DX.
The flow solar average was of 195.8 and the index "K" of 21.9.

On the other hand, Neil Clarke, G0CAS tells us in its weekly work on the propagation that the average of the solar flow was of 178 in the week. The solar wind, according to the data provided by the space ship ISS, they went from 320 to 580 kilometers per second. In HF the roads toward the south were consistent and this-west improved. In 28mhz the conditions opened up between America of the North and Europe and in Europe they ended up listening the beacon in 10 meters of Hong Kong.
It is also informed that another beacon already exists in 21.145mhz with vertical antenna and 225 miliwatts that it was listened in the United Kingdom.
In their predictions, it considers that during the week the activity could increase. MUFs is expected during the hours of the light of the day in same latitudes around 28MHZ. When the darkness approximately in 11mhz. The roads between Japan and Europe will be more frequent with a proportion of 50 percent of success around 24mhz. But the good frequency with a possibility of success of 90 percent, it should be around 17mhz and the best moment among 0800 1200z.
