YOU NOTICE DX

SUCCESS DE GB50. - The special station operated GB50 on Sunday June 9 in the Castle of Windsor with reason of the jubilee of gold of the Queen, a great success was achieved since they registered more than 5000 visitors in the radio exhibition during the 11 days that it was working, and all they could speak for radio and to still send a greeting when they don't have license, but for all those that are interested, will be helped to be qualified and to process its license. In the special station 24,500 contacts were worked with more than 130 countries.

BUREAU RSGB. - inside the RSGB of the United Kingdom a subordinate bureau exists to request the Qsl of all those special callsigns with reason of the Queen's Jubilee, such as GQ, MQ or 2Q. The special callsigns will be been able to continue using up to June 30.

FOR THOSE THAT BEGIN. - For those that it interests them the radio but that they have not found operators that encourage them and they qualify them at most elementary, it is necessary to recommend them that they visit the page of XE1ITJ http://www.qsl.net/xe1itj, since him same she explains the most elementary theory and it illustrates it with several pictures of their station. Even, until for those that are already inside the radio, she brings a league to the page of XE1YJS with instructions and pictures that you explain step to step how to install a tower of more than 20 meters and then to go up the antennas.

An ADVICE. - If you have preparation to go of trip and to begin to operate the radius next to the sea or next to a lagoon, it is recommended that you use a vertical antenna because the conductivity of the floor is so high that helps enough. Also, the first floor radiation angle, helps enough and you will be able to achieve better countries. That is the answer that him Guillermo HJ6IOP to José Luis HJ3ORT when this requested him their advice.

PROMOTE EXPEDITIONS. - In England, Wales, Island of the Man and Scotland is promoting the realization of expeditions to operate from the mountains, and they have had so excellent answer that in so far in this year, they have already been carried out more than 130 expeditions to almost 90 summits. This new competition call "BOSS" or "Peaks in Antenna" it is similar to the IOTA of RSGB, and for that which you are included a great list of peaks, together with a guide on how to operate them and more instructions in the web. Italy requested the RSGB the operative outline and it already confirmed that this same year they will put it into practice. For the countries that have interest, please communicate with John Linford, G3WGV, to g3wgv@aol.com

ANIMATIONS. - John LA0EM has a page web dedicated especially to what it likes to the radioaficionados, but he also offers free a great quantity of lively graphics so that you use them in your page web: http://www.qsl.net/la0em (Thank you LA0EM).

MANUALS FREE. - For those who need the manual for their radio and that they have been looking for for some time and they have not been able to him to find, or they have not been able to him to pay to the towering price that some offer it for Internet, they should no longer worry since many radio operators they exist in the world that they like really to support to other, and they have put them available in gratuitous form. These are some of them:

for YAESU:

for KENWOOD:

But there are not only for the new marks. You can also find for the radio "viejitos":
http://www.one-electron.com/FC_Ham.html
(Thank you HJ3ORT).

FACSIMILE. - at the present time they circulate for the net diverse gratuitous and commercial programs to be able to capture and to transmit signs of Facsimile that you/they only work with the card type Soundblaster of your computer and some simple connections. However, it is possible that you still ignore where to make the tests to receive images of Facsimile. Besides those that gave to know in the previous Bulletin, now will tell you that the Station VMC of Charleville, Queensland, transmits every day of the month and the station VMW in Wiluna, Western Australia, transmits in the odd days. The schedule is the same one for both stations: 0800 at 2100UTC in 2056, 6230, 8113 and 12356 kHz superior sideband and of 2100 at 0800UTC in 4149, 8113, 12356 and 16546 kHz superior sideband. A service of facsimile test is transmitted 24 hours by lit day 5755, 10355 and 18060kHz.

PROPAGATION

In their weekly work on the propagation, Tad Cook, K7VVV, points out that the solar activity has been quite low. It is expected that for this weekend the conditions in the Competition "All DX Seized CW" they are good. The solar flow is expected that it ascends during next days at 135 or 145 from Friday to Sunday.
N7QF says that during the recent competition of VHF it was on a mountain from Utah to 9,100 feet high with an antenna yagi of 3 elements and 90 watts in the band 6 meters and of 7 o'clock at 9 in the morning local time (1300-155z) he registered an opening with the southeast and half west and during two hours the contacts were one after another. Away from their car the temperature was of 20-30 grades F, but it considers that it was worthwhile the effort because he says that VE6 and VE7 that she had never been able to contact achieved.
The flow solar average was of 152.3 and the index K with an average of 12.4. (These numbers are those that have to put in the excellent program of prediction of the propagation of W6EL).
On the other hand, Neil Clarke, G0CAS tells us in its predictions on the propagation that the solar activity has been low, with a flow solar average of 161.
The solar wind, according to the data provided by the International Space Station, went down of the 500 kilometers per second to 280.
On the other hand the E Sporadic it was increased notably, allowing openings in 28 MHZ in hours of the day. In multiple jump E Sporadic between United States and Canada it happened among the afternoon.
In 50 MHZ in most of the days of the last week, openings were given, even with contacts of double jump among the means This of USA and Europe during the morning. PY5CC was listened strongly in the United Kingdom on Friday in the afternoon, favored by propagation equatorial trans together to E Sporadic. In the band of 4 meters 70 MHZ also registered E Sporadic with the United Kingdom and Slovenia, one of the few areas where the use of this band is already allowed, although there were also openings to Cyprus, and there were many reports of contacts in 144MHZ during the week in the mornings, among Spain, Portugal and Italy.

In their prediction for the week considers that the solar activity will be of low to moderate. The MUFs during the hours of the day will be given in same latitudes around 27 MHZ for the south and 24MHZ for the north. When the darkness it will be in 14MHZ. The short roads among America of the North in their oriental coast with Europe, with possibilities of 50 percent of success will be around 23MHZ but with 90 percent of success it will be around 18MHZ and the best moment to prove it will be around 1700 2100z. And Sporadic it will happen between 28 and 50 MHZ as we move toward the seasonal crest. But it will be necessary to be to the slope of the extensive openings in 144MHZ, although these cannot be guaranteed and rarely they last a lot of time. The stocking tomorrow and the early afternoons will be good times for the openings.
