Bought Shows

A "Bought Show" is where you purchase the entire WPW show! You pay us a predetermined amount of money for the show that you pick. Prices are determined based upon the quality of talent available for the show and the number of matches. You pay one price for the show and then can use the show however you decide... as a fundraiser, or as a special event that may be part of a festival, fair or company picnic.

If you are interested in purchasing a WPW show there are some things you must decide before purchasing.

1. How much can you afford to spend? WPW can bring in some of the best names in professional wrestling. You determine what you are willing to spend and we will tell you who is available. Just think, your show can feature stars like Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson of the Rock & Roll Express, Former NWA Heavyweight Champion Tommy "Wildfire" Rich, "The Boogie Man" Jimmy Valliant, "Pistol" Pez Whatley, The Fantastics, Demolition Ax, Barry Windham, Sid Vicious or many others. It depends upon their availability and your interest.

Or we can offer special gimmick matches to help draw a bigger crowd. Cage matches, chain matches, lumberjack matches, Battle Royales and Downtown Rumbles are always available. Every WPW show will feature matches for its WPW U.S. Heavyweight Title, the WPW Tag Team titles or the WPW Television Title. You can pick between several different types of matches including HARD CORE!!!

2. Where will the show be presented? You must find a facility big enough to have a 16' x 16' ring with an additional 8 feet around the ring area. There should be enough seating for the anticipated crowd.

3. Will you sell tickets? Many times our show is bought as part of a county fair or function where admission is free. If this is the case, then you don't have to worry about tickets. But if you are interested in purchasing our show as a fundraiser, then you must decide on the price of the tickets. Usually general admission seats are $5.00 in advance and $8.00 at the door; ringside seats are $7.00 in advance and $10.00 at the door; and childrens tickets are $3.00 in advance and $5.00 at the door. However, you may choose your own ticket price.

It's all up to you. WPW will help you and advise you on the best ways to increase your profits, but you will have the final decision.

4. When do you want a show? Dates are available for the 2001 calendar year. It is best to book a show with at least two months notice. That way advertising and media can best be used to promtoe the upcoming show. WPW will always include announcements about every show on its weekly TV program, WorldPro.

Profit Sharing Shows

"Profit Sharing Shows" are just that. You, as the sponsoring organization, receive a percentage of the gate from the night's show. This type of show is generally less risky and doesn't require as much of an investment on your organization's behalf.

Basically, the gate is split 80/20 between WPW and the sponsoring organization, minus taxes and certain fees that must be taken out of the gate prior to the split. This way your organization has a vested interest in selling tickets for the show. The more tickets you sell, the more your split of the gate will be. THERE IS A GUARANTEE FROM YOUR ORGANIZATION OF SELLING AT LEAST 100 TICKETS FOR THE SHOW! If you sell at least 100 tickets, your show will be a success!

Profit Sharing Shows are the cheapest way to bring World Professional Wrestling into your area. Your organization takes a little risk, but with good involvement from your members, advance tickets sales can make our shows highly profitable. You have an incentive to work hard to increase your profits by selling tickets. The more tickets you sell, the more money you make.
