World Professional Wrestling returns to Downtown Logan as Vietnam Veterans Association Post 308 sponsors "Christmas Chaos" at the Logan Bingo Hall on Saturday, December 15th. Bell time is 7:00 p.m. A portion of the proceeds from this event will benefit Post 308.
WPW has scheduled a major card as this promises to be the last show of the year! Seven matches and a special Christmas surprise have been signed for this special show. Included is a 3 Way Dance for the WPW World Heavyweight Title, a WPW TV Title match and a Tag Team matchup with a mystery partner involved!
In the main event, Hollywood Kid puts the WPW World Heavyweight Title up in a Three Way Dance against Psycho and DareDevil. The Kid, fresh off his title win in Chapmanville, will face the challenge of two men - one of them the 5 time former champ, Psycho! The Doctor has recovered from the errant fireball that burned his eyes and has promised the ending will be different this time. "I have had Psycho in an intense training regimen, including vitamins, weight-lifting and shock therapy" said The Doctor, adding "The Kid won't know what hit him!" The Doctor also was adamant that he blamed WPW announcer Dave Allen for the events at Chapmanville that resulted in his injury. "I haven't forgotten about Dave Allen and when I'm finished with him, there won't be anything left to remember about him", claims the medical misfit.
In what qualifies as a main event caliber match, WPW Television Champion Sensational Shawn Edwards will defend the TV title against Adorable Danny Ray. Edwards defeated Danny Ray in Mullens in May and has held on tightly to the belt since then. Danny Ray, the former TV champ, was known for defending the belt on a regular basis. However, this will be his first return match since losing the belt. ADR has been teaming with Joey Nelson and others against Edwards and the Studd Stable. In recent times, the Adorable One seems to have focused more on revenge and injury than the title. Now he claims his intent is clear. "I have one goal and that is a return to gold", says Danny Ray. "Anyone that knows me knows not to bet against me. That TV Title has, is and will always be mine!"
Edwards' fellow Studd Stable members James Stevens and Gangsta Zee will also be in action at the Bingo Hall. Stevens will square off against Joey Nelson while Gangsta Zee takes on Red Dog Bill.
Rock-N-Roller Tommy Gibson has promised a new tag team partner to debut in Logan. The problem is he won't tell anybody who it is. Gibson has teamed with many of the famous names in wrestling - Ricky Morton, Tommy Rich, Terry Garvin and more. Is there another famous name coming to Logan? Only Gibson knows. "All I can say is that I plan to return to the Tag Team championships and I will have a partner who will help me get there", says the Rock-N-Roller. Gibson and his mystery partner will face the team of Star and Justin Richards.
A pair of heavyweight contenders will square off when the big man of WPW - six feet, five inches tall, four hundred plus pound Big Daddy Gordy will take on Lance Erickson. Also newcomers to WPW, Rip Manson and Joey Morton will face each other in a preliminary bout.
Finally, WPW has promised a special Christmas surprise for the fans in Logan. Past shows in Logan have featured specialty matches like the Downtown Rumble or Battle Royales. What will WPW bring to town on December 15th? You'll have to come and see!
