World Professional Wrestling will soon make its first appearance at the 2001 Apple Butter Festival in Chapmanville, WV on October 6th at 7:00 p.m. Appearances are still being finalized but expect many of your WPW favorites to attend. It is expected that WPW will have title matches for the WPW World Heavyweight Championship, The WPW Television Championship and others. Among those expected to appear are Psycho, Adorable Danny Ray, Hollywood Kid and more. Special match stipulations are also being worked out. Check back here for more information.

The World Professional Wrestling show for the Apple Butter festival in Chapmanville will be held at 6:00 p.m. instead of 7:00 p.m. WPW was forced to move its show due to the unforeseen scheduling of a patriotic memorial tribute to those heroes who dies in the World Trade Center and Pentagon tragedies. The WPW show will being at 6:00 p.m. The memorial tribute will begin at 7:30 p.m. and Fireworks will be at 9:00 p.m. WPW promises to end its show prior to the fireworks so that all the fans can see this brilliant display.
As expected, the main event at Chapmanville will feature Psycho defending his WPW Heavyweight Championship against the Hollywood Kid. The Kid won this opportunity by winning the Downtown Rumble in Logan.
Also on the card, a special grudge match tag team event will feature Adorable Danny Ray and Joey Nelson against the Studd Stable - Sensational Shawn Edwards and James Stevens.
Other wrestlers scheduled to appear included Big Daddy Gordy, Rock-N-Roller Tommy Gibson, Redd Dogg Bill, DareDevil, and Gangsta Zee. Advance tickets are $5 for children, $7 for adult and are on sale at Nelson's Family Diner and Chapmanville TV in Chapmanville. Tickets slightly higher at the door. Card subject to change. WPW reserves the right to substitute wrestlers.
