St. Patrick's Series
Losing Reality
Distribution: If you want it, take it, but tell me first
Summary: Building off SaberShadow Kitten's "Puppy" - Bad things start to happen
Disclaimer: Not mine. I wish they were, but they're not. The wonderful people belong to Joss and Co.
Author's Note: This is my very first attempt at a Willow/Angel fic so please don't laugh at me. Okay, a few things I need to go over, this stays on tangent with "Puppy" with the exception that Puppy doesn't love Buffy. Part four in the St Patrick's Series. To the newer readers, Patrick is the alternate universe Angel who came over in "Doppelgangland" instead of Evil Willow. Thanks to my BETA-readers Meg, Allison, Ashley, and Assantra *grief, enough already* And a very special thanks to Danielle who has kept me on track with her wonderful comments and by catching all my little mistakes. Thanks so much
One More Note: My apologies for unhappy things that happen in this part. It will be happy again sooner or later but I was babysitting, I got bored, this story is the result
Category: Friendship/Romance?
Feedback: Oh please give me some. Anything other than 'Dear God you suck' will be accepted. Please tell me if I'm going completely crazy when writing this or if it could possibly make sense.
Rating: PG-13

"Patrick, are you done with Pandora yet? I want to read my books again." Willow's voice took on a petulant tone.
Patrick looked up in surprise. "Yeah, I'm sorry. It's on the night stand."
Willow gave him a marked look and sauntered over to the night stand and retrieved the book. Watching her walk back, Patrick noticed a swing to her hips, a sensuality he hadn't previously seen. Willow stood directly in front of him and smirked. "Puppy stole my book. He must be punished."
"What! Willow, what did you say!?"
Willow struck him sharply across the cheek. "Speak only when you are spoken to." Her face transformed into that of the demon. "I'm ba-ack" she sang out cheerily before sinking her fangs into Patrick's neck.
*******
Patrick threw himself out of bed. Wildly glancing about the room, his eyes came to rest on Willow.
"Patrick! Are you okay? Did you have another nightmare?"
Willow quickly crossed the room and put her arms around Patrick's neck.
"Shh…It's okay. Everything's okay. I'm here."
Patrick went limp with relief. It had been a nightmare. Pulling himself up he looked at Willow and smiled. "It's okay. I'm fine now."
Willow pulled back. "Oh, but we haven't even begun to play yet!"
As she spoke, her face transformed.
"I missed my Puppy."
*******
"Patrick! Patrick! Wake up! You're having a nightmare."
Patrick forced himself awake and let his gaze fall on Willow.
"No! Not again! I won't let you do this to me." Patrick screamed.
"Patrick, what are you do-" Willow's voice was cut off as her head snapped to one side with the force of Patrick's blow.
Patrick felt a tremendous satisfaction as he heard the crunch of bones. "I won't let you take me again you bitch!" Punching her squarely in the face once again, Patrick lost all control. He kept hitting and hitting, so glad to be able to be the one giving instead of receiving the pain this time, until Willow's small form crumbled to the ground.
Patrick reached down for Willow's neck, intent on snapping it, when he heard a sound that stopped him in his tracks. A heartbeat. A faint and thready heartbeat coming from Willow's body.
That soft sound brought Patrick back to reality instantly.
This wasn't a dream.
This was Willow.
His little one.
And he had probably killed her.
