WOW!

I don't know what else to say.

WOW!

I'm standing here watching the man that I had a crush
on, do something that was so incredibly sexy that I
wanted to plow my way through the crowd and just plop
right down at his feet.

Just listening...and staring...like a groupie.

Giles' groupie

The last time I was anyone's groupie was when Oz and
the Dingoes played but to be perfectly honest, Oz
never sounded like that. All sexy and hot and ...good.
Giles played well. And that was one thing that Oz
could never say he did with his guitar. Play well.

As I'm watching, drooling to myself, I see Giles look
up, surprise on his face. He didn't expect us to be
here. Of course, he DID tell us that we shouldn't
bother him because he needed some 'grown-up' time.
Now, I understand why.

He was probably afraid or embarrassed to perform in
front of us. Which he shouldn't have been. 'Cause he's
so, so good!

I'm babbling to myself again. I gotta stop that.

Anyway, I smile at him, knowing that I'm grinning like
an idiot and not really caring. I hope that my smile
has reassured him that we are enjoying his
performance. At least I am. Xander keeps wanting to
leave but there is no way in Hellmouth that I'm
leaving. Not until he finishes, which I hope isn't a
long, long time from now.

"Does he do this often?" Tara asks, Xander's protests
going unheeded.

I smile to myself. No one else wants to go and I'm
glad.

I want to stay and hear more. More of that wonderful
voice. The voice that is causing shivers to run up and
down my spine, producing some very wicked thoughts in
me. Ones involving his voice, his body and ....his
bed.

I notice that his guitar playing picks up speed and I
can't help but be mesmerized by his hands. His strong
hands that, not for the first time, I've fixated
myself on. I used to look all the time back in High
School. Every time he would turn the page of a book or
run his hanky across the frame of his glasses, my eyes
would always wander over, watching his long
experienced fingers do their magic.

Like now.

His playing is almost magical, the way he's able to
produce a siren's song from the simple strings. And I
imagine, yet again what else can those talented
fingers do.

Grinning, I say plainly. "Now, I remember why I used
to have such a crush on him in High School."

Oops.

Did I say that aloud?

I know I should feel embarrassed but I don't. No one
ever knew my feelings for Giles, feelings that I had
buried deep inside until now. Truthfully, I'm kind of
relieved that I spilled the beans. Relieved that it's
all finally out in the open, that I don't have to hide
them anymore.

"It's pleasant." Anya remarks and I smile. Giles must
be a magician to get that type of response out of an
ex-demon.

"What?" Xander blurts out behind me.

Turning, I say, "C'mon," before turning back to face
Giles, not wanting to miss one second of his
enchanting performance. "It is kinda sexy."

"I'm fighting a total mental breakdown, Will. Could
you not add more fuel to the fire." Xander pleads and
I inwardly roll my eyes. He can be such a blockhead at
times. He acts like it's so outrageous that Giles
could be singing. Like Giles is unable to have a life
outside of Watchering. Like it's so out of this world
that we could find him sexy.

Correction. That I could find him sexy . Which I do.
Find him sexy.

Oh, God..I'm babbling again. I really must stop this
or else I'll miss Giles' singing. And I don't want to
do that. No way mister.

"..like I do. And I blame you." Giles sang and once
again I lose my train of thought.

Watching, enthralled, I make plans for my new job that
starts next week. And continues next week and the week
after that.

Giles' Groupie.
