Title: A New You (1/?)(W/L)
Author: Notorious Queen DE
Disclaimer: The genius that is Josh made these fabulous characters and
settings. I mortal that I am just play with the characters till the show
comes on. Oh I don't know, who Coyote Ugly belongs too? I know "Is this
real?" By Lisahall is not a new song but I had to somehow put in the fic.
It's my favorite.
Spoilers: I made this up. And I forgot the name of the show from where I am
starting from, but no worries I don't mention much about what happens.

Willow sat slumped on her couch in her new studio in New York. She was tired
but she had a lot of energy yet. She had finally did it. She had finally
moved in all her stuff in. Not that there was that much stuff left. She
hadn't realized how much stuff Mom had thrown out when she left to college
back in Sunnydale. At least she did have some money saved up in the bank. Not
as much as she would have preferred, but it would last her at least a month.
Living in Sunnydale people seem to forget the importance of money and just
worry about living and your no existing love life. Except for Anya who you
really couldn't call human. Actually Anya wasn't that bad she did support
Willow's dream to go to NYU. She even persuaded Xander to help her pack.
Buffy of course tried to persuade her to stay, but it wasn't the same
anymore. Right out of high school Buffy needed her. Willow had to stay to
make sure Buffy wouldn't chicken out again, and leave the Helllmouth
unprotected. Buffy had to take care of Dawn now that Joyce was gone; Buffy
would stay for Dawn. She didn't hate Buffy She just saw her for what she was,
or correctly where she was one step away from being emotionally unstable. The
thing that finally pushed Willow to move was the day when her parents had
came home to tell her the where going to sell the house and put a portion in
the bank to pay for any college she wanted. The portion turned out to be just
enough to move her up her and pay for at least 2 years at NYU if she didn't
touch it. For the other 2 years, she should have already proved herself
capable and be eligible for some grant money. She could do this.

Lindsey was in a similar position across town sprawled on his tan couch that
he and the movers had just dragged up the stairs to his town house. The fake
symbols of his wealth and power would come later right now all he wanted was
to be comfortable. Right now he was just any other human bachelor. He had
just gotten a new job description as partner at Wolfram Hart. After all this
time that he had betrayed the law firm to Angel they had again promoted him
and given him a raise. If he was stupid he would get a big head about this,
but he knew the reason he had gotten this far was because he was always wary
and on guard. He knew that they had some reason for keeping him. And it
wasn't because he knew too much otherwise they would have already killed him.
Maybe they just thought he had potential and that was why they relocated him
to the New York headquarters. Maybe they just wanted him away from Angel's
good guy influence. Who knew why the senior partners did anything? All he
knew was that he had to get some sleep

{Damn, will I ever get used to this damn time change?} Willow thought as she
sat in the café at three in the morning. {Oh well at least she got to know
Rodrigo the owner of the café, she was currently in, pretty well. So well he
didn't make her pay for the coffee she inhaled. His homemade pie was the only
thing she had to pay for. Besides he played all the new artists tapes on his
little radio so you always got to hear something new. And the one she was
hearing now was fabulous.
*Twisted at this feeling walked out of shape
So tired of revealing the moves that I make
And I know yes I know but is this real?
And I know yes I know but is this real? *
Willow got up and danced in the little café. She swayed and threw her body to
the rhythmic beating of the music. Her body moved together fluidly in a grace
and oneness that only a person who was truly self confident and at peace with
her body could achieve.
Lil, the owner of a local bar called The Coyote Ugly watched, from her seat
at the counter. She was impressed with little girls movies it wasn't often
you say a girl just let go of herself and it was a redhead no less who were
known to be in full control even when they were in a fiery temper. That
little redhead would fit in good at the bar. She obviously could move she
wondered if she needs a job. Well, there was only one way to find out. Wait
till the song is over then ask her. The song was ending anyway.
*Flesh blood bone love
Twisted
And I know yes I know but is this real?
And I know yes I know but is this real?
Flesh to bone to blood my love.
Twisted, twisted
Is this real? *
The last note faded out and Willow was walking back to her seat when a tough
looking blonde stopped her. "Hi, my name is Lil. You looked good out their do
you have a job?" Lil asked bluntly.
"No, I'm not employed at the moment but I'm not a stripper so if you are
thinking that I would like to go into that kind of field of work your wrong,"
Willow stated just as firmly.
Lil threw her head back and laughed knowing the redhead would fit right
in. "Sorry, little red but I want you to become a coyote not a striper."
"What do you mean a coyote?" Willow asked
"Girl you haven't heard about a coyote yet you must be really new to town.
Believe me its not pride talking. Come to this address at 6 o'clock." Lil
handed willow a card. "You can find out what a coyote is and see if you want
to join my little family"

Willow arrived at The Coyote Ugly precisely at 6 on the dot. She was amazed
at how many people there actually were crowded into the bar. She saw the
women dancing atop of the bar. Willow herself couldn't help swaying to the
music, not as blatantly sexual as the women, but far more sensual movements.
Willow knew she could like this place. She knew that here she could start
over. Here she wouldn't have to worry about her reputation. Here she wouldn't
be overshadowed by her past friends. Here she could be the Faith: the bad
girl, the wild crazy one. She could take Faiths mantra of "Want, Take, Have."
Here there was no Buffy the original 'the whole world revolves around me
because I am the original chosen one' girl. She could take Buffy's
self-confidence and not over do it. Hell, she could even take some of
Cordelia's bitchiness she didn't even have to change it because Cordy put it
together perfectly with her quick but often dry wit. Here she would be free.
"Hey, Little red you want a job?" Lil asked from behind willow.
Willow turned to face Lil "I'd love one, Thanks."
"Don't thank me yet. Now get your ass over there and start work"
By 8 willow was having fun and really getting into her new job. Even with
Rachel taunting her every min about something else. That was when the fight
broke out. It was a huge brawl. Willow immediately jumped right in. She knew
by now to try to get to Cammy. Cammy was the type of girl men always went for
first. All that teasing she does gets to them. Willow was fighting hard when
she finally noticed how easily she was tacking out these men. Human men.
After all those years of being the weakling to the demon race. She was in
shape: she was fast, strong, and agile. She was truly a good fighter against
humans. Before she knew it she was fighting back to back with Rachel the
Bitch and they were a turning the tide of the fight. Finally after at least
10 min of fighting the brawl ended. The got the troublemakers out and went
back to business. Willow knew for sure that she could handle herself here.

Lindsey was just finishing up for the night. It had been harder then he had
thought to be partner but Lindsey was always up to a challenge. When he first
got the job he had to assert himself and make his position known. People
usually didn't like outsiders coming in and taking the power jobs. So,
needless to say the first week was pretty rough. Now he had to get the
employees to trust him and that was why he was rushing to his studio to get
ready to go to some bar, with his employees. Rather than pass out and get
some much-needed sleep. He did want to see what the big deal was about this
bar though. He had drove past it a couple of times on his way home and there
was usually a line around the block to get in. He had asked around about it
and everyone was just talked about how they wanted to see Lil's new girl.
An hour later~
Lindsey walked in to the bar that was better described as a club. People
where everywhere crowded in. As soon as he had walked in he had lost sight of
Devlin and Quinlan his new friends.
The heat of all the people overpowered Lindsey. He needed a drink. He was
forced to shove threw the crowd to try to get to the bar. Halfway there the
latest hit "behind every good women" by Tracy Bonham started to play. From
his place on the outer edge Lindsey had a good view of the bar. When he say a
beautiful brunette and an enchanting redhead get on top of the bar and
started dancing to the striking lyrics.
*Many muscles has the man each one has a reason
Many women felt his hand each one trying to place him
Imagine one day the tables could turn
Imagine one day the tables would turn
Behind every good woman lies a trail of men
Shame; shame for the rooster high five for the hen
Don't ask where she's going don't ask where she's been
Behind every good woman lies a trail of men
Something tells me that Snow White is smarter than we think
Seven men at perfect height Seven noses pink
It could happen. One day the tables did turn
Behind every good woman lies a trail of men
You wouldn't believe the mess she's in*
Lindsey finally got close enough to see the redhead's face clearly. She was
gorgeous. He knew that somehow he had to meat her.
