Light the candle and walk around it in a circle, direction doesn’t matter as long as you don’t walk in a square or triangle. Sit down after you walk around it 9 times. While sitting repeat the following 3 times:
Familiar friend Come to me, Help me with my magic because as you can see My magic has to be done with you We all know this is true So familiar friend show yourself Then we can share the wealth Of bubblegum and candy rings And all sorts of magical things.
Stand up when you have repeated it 3 times. Make animal shapes with your hands in the candle flame, like you are playing shadow puppets. Put your hands really close to the flames and make the shape of the animal you wish to have as your familiar. While holding that shape make the sound of the animal very loudly with your mouth over and over again, about 22 times should do. When finished blow out the candle flame and stand quietly. With luck, and a little bit of magic your familiar should be standing by your side.
