The Robin.

‘Twas on a cold solstice eve, the snow lay on the ground,
the footprints of the robin led to the tree where he sat.
All was calm and all still, there wasn’t any sound,
‘cept the tiny voices of the faery folk a welcoming yule.

The pretty tree aglow with lights sits in the corner,
Reminding us of ancient days, of ancestors long departed.
We know that soon with springtime's coming the weather will get warmer
But for now we’ll wear thick socks that we had as presents.

The night is cold, the air is still, the robin lays dead on the ground
The poor little thing all dead and cold, his blood turns the snow red.
We know that we will be ok, there’s turkey in the refrigerator,
another solstice comes and goes as we thank the goddess we got fed.

Summer’s here!

Summer’s here. Summer’s here, it’s time to be glad
For all the love and all happiness that’s to be had.
The Goddess smiles upon her children as they play
The God watches over trees and foxes every day.

The sun is shining in the sky, no clouds are in sight
We dance with all our Wiccan friends well into the night.
Dancing, dancing, dance the spiral all,
Dance , dance but mind you don’t fall!

Summer’s here, summer’s here every where is green
We run through woods and sit by streams and eat ice cream.
The Goddess laughs as she watches her children play
She knows we love her more and more every single day.

Mother of us all

The Goddess looks upon the earth,
To see it come alive,
And sees all her children,
Like bees in a hive.

Oh mother of us all,
Creator of this creation,
Smile upon we shadowfolk,
And show us all your passion.

Your womb is full and fertile,
With mankind's future hopes,
No matter how stupid we are,
And bind ourselves with ropes.

You are the shining Lady,
Starlight in female form,
I worship you my Goddess,
And promise to do no harm.

I wish...

I wish I were a dolphin,
A swiminning in the sea,
Eating only fish and prawns,
As happy as happy can be.

I wish I were a squirrel,
A leaping from tree to tree,
Eating only berries and nuts,
As happy as happy can be.

But most of all I'm happy,
Just to be me,
Eating all the things I want,
And being happy as happy can be.
