Applejack and the Evil Wizard

"You're so clumsy, Applejack! This is the third time you have messed up my obstacle! Now go play somewhere else!"

Lemon Drop was relieved after Applejack trotted away. "Poor pony, she's upset," Brandy barked.

The little pony galloped to the waterfall to stay out of trouble, but... "Oh, Applejack, you've knocked over my bottle of bubble-bath! Watch where you are going!"

"Applesauce!" Applejack muttered crossly. "I'm going to Witch Know-all! Maybe she can cure me of my clumsiness. I am such a bother to everyone! I hope I can remember the road to her house in the forest."

Applejack had been walking for a few minutes when the road split up. "I think the right way is left," she said. "Past this curved tree!"

The road did not seem familiar and the worst thing was she looked back....

...to see that she had walked through a town dragging a line of laundry with her. "Oh, you've messed up all our laundry you clumsy brain!" the angry residents shouted at her. Frightened, Applejack ran away as fast as she could.

She ran till she could not run anymore. "I'll just take a rest behind this rock," she breathed a sigh of relief.

But when Applejack wanted to lie down, the rock suddenly moved away on its own accord to reveal a cavern.

"Help! This rock is alive!" the pony screamed as she ran inside, along a dark tunnel. "Well, well! What have we here? Another pony to dig jewels for me?" Applejack found an old man lying in a throne made of glittery gem stones.

"Who are you? Where am I? Pony feathers, I want to go back home," Applejack sobbed.

"I'm Wizard Ruby. Welcome to my Jewel Cave. You shall stay here and dig for jewels with my other slaves!"

The wizard grabbed Applejack by the mane and dragged her to a group of ponies. "You'll do what the slaves are doing," he grinned sinisterly.

Applejack soon began digging. "Try to escape while you can still see well!" a pony whispered.

"We've been trapped in this dark cave for so long that we've lost our ability to see," another pony whispered.

"Pony hooves! This is terrible!" exclaimed Applejack. "Don't worry, I'll rescue all of you from this dungeon." She charged at the wizard from behind...

... and knocked over his throne. A violent slam caused it to explode into a firework shower of colourful gem stones all over the cave. At the same time, the earth cracked open and swallowed the evil wizard. He was never seen again.

"Follow me!" Applejack called out to her friends. "I'll lead the way!" The ponies followed closely behind her out of their prison cell.

"Hey, you have jewels in your eyes!" said amazed Applejack in supreme delight . "Jewels from the wizard's throne! Now you can see again. Go home quickly!"
