HAPPY BIRTHDAY

Pola took a shower and before going to bed for night sleep she thought a while about tomorrow. She had a birthday tomorrow. She is going to be 19 years old.

“What my friends have planned?” she wondered. Her best friends Lina, Eva, Rosy and Lola said they are going to make surprise for her. But what?

“Ahhh… let’s don’t worry about this today, I’ll think about it tomorrow,” it sounded like Scarllet’s words from movie “Gone with the wind”. Pola said her friends that she doesn’t want anything, but girls kept on saying: “You’re gonna love it.” “Whatever,” Pola answered blankly.

Pola putted her Pj’s on and climbed into bed. Still thinking about her friends’ surprise, she felt asleep.

“Good morning sleeping beauty!” Pola heard best friend’s screaming. Pola opened her eyes slowly. There were her friends – with flowers and boxes of presents.

“Wow!” everything what could Pola to gasped out.

“Happy birthday!” said all of her friends one by one. They hugged, then Pola opened the presents, there were different kind of presents – ring, book, CD’s, posters, even beautiful underwear. Then left one envelope which opened and started to scream jumping up and down on her bed.
“Geez! Honey, it’s ticket to Westlife concert! Tonight!” they knew how much Pola wanted to go to their concert, but it was too late when they found out about their concert, because all tickets were sold. But luckily Lina gave others idea to write a letter to Westlife fan club and to ask could they give them some tickets because it’s their best friend’s birthday. But for surprise, they didn’t give just tickets. After some days Shane called to Eva and said that they decided to sing a song “Happy birthday!” for their friend on concert. And they said that they all could party in the hotel after the show. It was like a dream, which will come true – tonight.

“Thank you honeys! I’ll never forget this!” Pola thanked almost with tears in her eyes. But others just looked in each other cause they knew that the best thing only would come later on the concert and after it.

Then Rosy called excited: ”Ok, today you won’t do anything, just relax and prepare for the show, because we want that you look like a princess so that Shane falls in love with you when he sees you, OK?”

“Yeah dream on, I am sure he even won’t notice me in that big crowd.” She said sadly. But Lola couldn’t help stop giggling knowing what will happen later, but others quickly gave her evil look.

“What’s so funny Lola?” Lola stopped giggling

“Erm… nothing” she said quickly.

After that all girls went to town – to have some fun, later they started to prepare for concert.

“Wow! Pola, you look gorgeous!” Rosy gasped out.

“Thanks.” Pola said shyly. “You think that Shane could notice me this way?”

“Shane will love it, I am sure,” Lola said. “He…” but Eva didn’t let her finish cause she grabbed Lola’s hand and said angrily:
“What you think you’re doing? You’re nuts? She can’t find out our surprise…”

“OK, I am sorry, I’ll behave good… promise!”

“Ok,” Eva went away satisfied.

The show began and it was really fantastic. Pola couldn’t take her eyes away from Shane, neither Shane actually. He saw Pola only once – in the picture, but he had to admit that in real world she was more beautiful.

About 15 minutes before the end Westlife went silent and Shane started to talk
“Tonight is very special night for one girl who is here right now. Her name is Pola” Pola froze and looked to her friends. But Shane kept on talking “She has birthday today, so honey, happy birthday!” And they all sang “Happy birthday!” song to her. Pola stood her didn’t know what to say. It was a miracle. Shane somehow knew her name, he even called her honey. She turned to her friends again who were giggling all the time.

“What’s going on here?” finally Pola gasped out.

“Erm… nothing” Li tried to pretend.

“I know you too well.”

“Don’t ask anything just enjoy all surprises what we have for you” Eva suggested.

“OK,” Pola said and turned her face again to the stage. She found Shane with her eyes. He was smiling at her.

After the show

“Ok, Pola, now we have to close your eyes because we have another surprise for you!”

“Another?” Pola exclaimed. And girls closed her eyes with scarf.

After some minutes going, they took scarf away from Pola’s eyes. They were standing in dark long lobby near some room’s door.

“OK, you can go in,” Lola said.

Pola opened door slowly and then she heard:

“Surprise!” Pola stood frozen for some moments. There were all Westlife lads in front of her.

“Oh my god!” she said quietly. “This can’t be real”.

Bryan first came to hug Pola at first, then others girls. Next were Mark, then Nicky, Kian and finally Shane.

“Happy birthday, honey” he whispered in Pola’s ear as he hugged her and kissed on cheek. She looked deep in his hazel eyes and they both smiled, knowing that this is the start of something new for them both. Together. Forever.
