Survivors> chapter 6
"Are
you okay Nady?" Nicky asks as she led the way through the rainforest.
She didn't answer him. Nicky stopped her by the waist and turned her to
him. He found her crying. "Hey, what is it?" He pulled her close
and gave her a soft hug. Her head leaned on his shoulder. "I'm
scared Nicky." "Scared
of what?" he asks. She didn't say her reason but it seems like he
knows what has been bothering her. He pushed her away to meet his eyes.
"Are you thinking that we won't be able to get home?" He watched
her struggle with her emotions. It is what has been bothering her.
"Oh Nady, don't think that. Please don't think that." "I'm
sorry?" she apologized as she continued to sob on his shoulder. Nicky
kissed her hair and rubbed her back. "We
will be fine here. Storms always come in islands like these. We should
already be expecting it. Now come on and help me find some food for
Mitzie." Nady wiped away her tears and gave him a smile. "Now

Nicky and Nady?" asks Kian who was taking some of the dried wood from
Kymie. Shane started the fire with Mitzie, who was tying some coconut
leaves for their camp on the other side of the island. "They
went inside the forest to get some more food. Mitzie doesn't eat
meat." Shane said teasing Mitzie, seeing her roll her eyes to him. He
touched her knee and apologized, smiling to her. "Oh,
when are they coming back?" "Maybe
in an hour or two. Why?" "Well,
Kymie and I had already picked out some huge papayas while we were walking
from our camp. Mitzie can eat these." "Oh
gee, thanks." Mitzie beams taking the fruit from Kymie and
immediately slicing them with a sharp rock. Shane smiles to Kian. "What?"
Kian looks at him strangely. "Nothing.
I just thought of Nicky and Nady." "Do
we have enough now?" Nady calls from the head of the tree she
climbed. Nicky squinted his eyes and looked up. He briefly smiled and
looked down on his mango sap stained shirt. "Yeah!
I think ten mangoes are enough! Would you like to come down now?" he
yells at her wanting her to pull herself down from where she is. He feels
like he's disabled enough to see her climbing the trees and not him.
"Nady?" "Actually
it's beautiful up here. Why don't you come up and see this?" "I
don't think I would be able to put down these mangoes anywhere, wild
animal might get it." Nady
looks down and found Nicky already struggling with the picked fruits. She
immediately went down step by step through every strong branch. She almost
stumbled by his side when she took a jump. "You
alright Nady?" he asks finally placing the mangoes in a large leaf.
He gave her a bunch in another and told her to hold them on both ends to
keep them from falling. Nady nodded and then followed Nicky towards the
opposite direction of the camp. "Where
are you going?" "Kian
told us about this small lagoon you girls were at, can you show it to me?
You found it right?" "Uh-huh."
"We
should already be preparing for our transfer to the other camp. Did Nicky
say we would be seeing them there?" asks Kian who was handing out to
Kymie the things they were going to bring back to the camp with them. The
girl seemed to have lots of stuffs that came from the cargoes. "Uh-huh,
Nady was the one who actually told us to meet them there. They could
probably be there already." Shane answers him. He looked at Mitzie
and found her profile delicious. Her bikini top was trying so hard to hide
her soft breasts but failed to do so. Mitzie looked at him and smiled. She
threw him a small leaf and urged him to continue what he was doing. Shane
instinctively gave up on the tease and walked down to her, letting his
