Survivors> chapter 15

Not far away from the waterfall are the five intruders, carrying with them unlit gas torches and empty sacks. On the lead is Kevin, holding on to his gun, which is securely placed around his waist.  Second to him is Jason and Lance carrying the empty sacks on their shoulders. Keith and Rich follows last with the gas torches, roaming their eyes around for any distraction.
Unknown to these intruders were the four pairs of eyes that were watching them on the opposite side of the forest. "Are they searching for the waterfall?" Billie asks whispering to Mark.  Kymie was the one who nodded.
"Probably searching for the cave behind it." Kian adds.
Billie looks at Kymie. "There's a cave behind it?"
Kymie was forced to nod. She looks at Kian when Mark led Billie ahead of the two. She then slaps Kian lightly on the arm. "What?" Kian whispers out loud.
"Nothing! You just told them where we hang around, silly!" she scolds him. Kian looked at her with stunned eyes and apologized sheepishly. Kymie smirked a frown at him and went ahead following behind Billie. Kian shook his head and followed up behind her.

Inside the cave, Pril and Bryan struggled to follow the path of the water.  Pril's face cheered up upon seeing the waterfall on the end of the trail. She turned to Bryan and pulled him beside her. "We'll be out of here in no time." She tells him.  Bryan saw the waterfall and smiled to her, giving her a kiss. They continued to walk down the end of the trail seeing the rocks that were forming down the waterfall.  This was the first time they know of the cave behind the waterfall.
But suddenly Bryan stopped Pril and heard the faint arguing of unfamiliar voices almost near the waterfall area.  His mind worked double and immediately he pushed Pril for the rocks, which almost made her wail to him. He covered her mouth and hushed her as they listen for the intruders outside.  Pril's eyes widened when she heard the intruders and quickly forced Bryan to get them out of the area.  Bryan picked Pril up and carried her out of the cave area.  He saw the intruders just outside the small lagoon then he walked up sideways and placed down Pril on the next rock. He instructed her to crawl with her head down behind the big boulders and keep herself out of sight.  Bryan watched Pril crawl away while he turns to the intruders who were already within the range of seeing them. Bryan carefully sneaked out of the cave opening just as when the intruders found it.  He crawled continuously with his head down towards where Pril is. Pril grabbed him by the collar and hugged him as he sat beside her. They both watched the intruders get inside the cave, all of them, one by one disappeared through the cave. Bryan closed his eyes and looked at Pril, she was shivering, as she is wet and panicking. He held her tight in his arms urging her that they need to walk back to the camp and tell the others.
Both moved behind the big boulders and found their way through a different path. As they walk down the narrow path, Bryan saw four familiar figures watching the opening of the waterfall. It was Billie, Mark, Kymie, and Kian. "Hey guys!" he called to them. All four turned to him with Mark immediately covering his mouth.  They all looked at the opening of the cave and found no one coming out.  Everyone sighed as Mark slowly takes away his hand from Bryan.
"Man, that was close." Kian sighed. He looked at Bryan and Pril. "What are you guys doing here? Aren't you two supposed to keep Mitzie and Shane company?" He looks at Bryan.
"We went out for a walk."
"Out here?" Kian adds.
"No. We found a passageway from the cave where we have stayed in during the storm. Pril and I were checking it out when this big hole turned out from one of its walls. We got into this chamber and found some paintings from the British Museum I think that is what these guys are looking for. Then we followed the pathway of the water and came out behind the waterfall." Bryan looks at Pril and she nodded with approval to his story.
"It's true."
Kymie went to Kian and slapped him lightly on the arm. They looked at each other then she walked away. Kian sighed and grew disappointed with everything that was happening. Bryan stared at Kian.
"What was that about?" he asks as Kymie and the others have followed a different path for their camp.  Kian walks alongside Bryan.
"No one was supposed to know about the cave.  She thought I told you about it, that's why you and Pril were there."
"But you didn't."
"Well she doesn't know that, does she?" Kian smirks a frown to him and went ahead walking alongside Kymie who was a bit aloof with him.

Inside the cave, the intruders used their torches and readied their empty sacks to retrieve the paintings.  They found it where Bryan found it.  Immediately they placed all paintings in their sacks, gently and carefully carried to out of the cave.  Kevin noticed the big hole on one of the walls. There is water streaming from it and it's angle looked like someone had been there.  He thought about what his two comrades had reminded him. There could be people in this island, and they could even be watching them. Not wanting to gather more distraction to their adventure, he immediately ordered his comrades to get out of the cave and go back directly to the campsite.  They were asking him why he was in a hurry but he didn't elaborate preventing questions and quickly walks back to the opening of the waterfall.  The others followed and routed to the same path they have gone in before.
