I've done some purely amateur analysis comparing John Ramsey's printing, as found on Halle's Ramsey site, with the printing on the note. Some of the more interesting similarities can be found in this gif.
N.B. the following:
1. On the top row, the strong similarities of the two "sey"s.
2. On the same row, middle, the practically identical "e"s.
3. Last on the top row, the little squiggles on the end of the two "e"s are awfully similar, despite the difference in angle.
4. Both the note and Ramsey's printing are inconsistent in very interesting and possibly revealing ways. One inconsistency they have in common is a tendency to combine printed text, in which each letter is separated, with written text, in which the letters flow together. One out of many possible comparisons is the word "account" as found in the second row. In the ransom note, the letter is divided thus: a ccoun t. In Ramsey's text, it's divided thus: a cco un t. Note especially the way the "u" and the "n" abut one another.
5. Both the note and Ramsey's text contain many instances where letters or parts of words are "crushed" together. Some instances of both are given in the third row of the gif.
The letters of the note tend to lean to the right, while JR's tend to lean to the left. If he is ambidextrous, this could be explained by his using different hands to write each. Other differences could be explained by his use of a computer font as model. The note strongly resembles the Arial font.
"Experts" have concluded that JR could not have written the note. But their reasons have never been given. I really wonder why they came to this conclusion. The similarities between the note and JR's printing seem much stronger than anything of Patsy's I've seen.
