474. Solomon Blake, GGGG Grandfather, M. Born on 23 Mar 1781 in Franklin, Norfolk Co, MA. Solomon died in Franklin, Norfolk Co, MA on 29 Dec 1839, he was 58.

On 6 Nov 1806 when Solomon was 25, he married Hannah Morse, GGGG Grandmother, F, daughter of Samuel Morse, M (4 May 1733-3 Jun 1798) & Sarah Day, F (-23 Jan 1800), in Franklin, MA. Born on 23 Jul 1782 in Franklin, Norfolk Co, MA. Hannah died in Franklin, Norfolk Co, MA on 24 Nov 1856, she was 74.

They had the following children:
i. Susan Morse, GGGG Aunt, F. Born on 13 Dec 1807 in Franklin Norfolk Co, MA. Susan Morse died in Franklin,Norfolk Co, MA on 11 Jul 1813, she was 5.

iii. Charles Grandison, GGGG Uncle, M. Born on 9 Jun 1815 in Franklin, Norfolk Co, MA. Charles Grandison died on 3 Aug 1881, he was 66.

On 3 Dec 1835 when Charles Grandison was 20, he married Lorinda Ballou, 1C4R, F, daughter of Arnold Ballou, M (31 Mar 1792-27 Nov 1817) & Lorinda Bates, F (3 Apr 1798-4 Sep 1833), in Franklin, Norfolk Co, MA. Born on 28 May 1817 in Bellingham, Norfolk Co, MA.

Lorinda Arnold Ballou was a posthumous child, b. a few months after the lamented decease of her father, and brought up with her mother, or more largely in the family of her maternal grandparents, John Bates, Esq., and wife, in Bellingham, Mass. Her married life was clouded with serious domestic adversities, which cost her some grievous trials. These, however, she surmounted with remarkable fortitude. She is a devoted member of the Baptist church, and has been sustained under all afflictions by her religious faith and trust. Mr. Blake died Aug. 3, 1881, a. 66 yrs. 1 mo. and 25 ds. Mrs. Lorinda has resided for several years in Milford, Mass., keeping house comfortably with her youngest daughter, Miss Mary L. Alletta.
