464. Joseph Peck, 9G Grandfather, M. Born on 30 Apr 1587 in Beccles, Suffolk, England. Joseph died in Rehobeth, Bristol, MA, MA on 23 Dec 1663, he was 76. Buried on 23 Dec 1663 in Swansea, Bristol, Massachusetts.

Joseph, who came with his wife, Rebecca (Clark) Peck, 3 sons and a daughter , 2 men servants and 3 maid servants from Old Hingham, England to America in 1638 on the ship,"Diligent of Ipswitch".
There were 133 persons aboard and the master of the ship was John Martin of Ipswitch. The family lived in Rehobath, Plymouth Colony, Mass. Joseph was a Chosen Representative of the General Court in 1639, 40, 41, and 42. In 1641, he was granted an 8 mile square of land on Bachelor (Main) St. in the vacinity of Water St. in New Haven, Conn. He was a Selectman, Assessor and Justice of the Peace. Joseph's nephew, son of Robert, another Joseph came to America in 1645 as an Afterplanter. In 1650, he married Alice Heath Burwell, the widow of John Burwell in Milford, New Haven, Connecticut. He later married Mary Richards. His name is written on the Memorial Bridge on the Wepawang River in Milford.


On 21 May 1617 when Joseph was 30, he first married Rebecca Clark, 9G Grandmother, F, daughter of John Clark, M (abt 1558-6 Jun 1615) & Mrs. Elizabeth Clark, F (abt 1563-11 Apr 1602), in Hingham, Norfolk, England. Born on 2 May 1585 in Hingham, Norfolk, England. Rebecca died in Hingham, Norfolk, England on 24 Oct 1637, she was 52.

They had the following children:
i. Anna, 9G Aunt, F. Born on 12 Mar 1618 in Of, Hingham, Norfolk, England. Anna died in Hingham, Norfolk, Eng on 27 Jul 1636, she was 18. Buried on 27 Jul 1636 in Hingham, Norfolk, England.

Anna married Mr. Hubbert, M.
ii. Rebecca, 9G Aunt, F. Born on 25 May 1620 in Of, Hingham, Norfolk, England. Rebecca died in ., Hingham, Plymouth, Massachusetts on 9 Sep 1693, she was 73. Buried on 6 Sep 1692 in Hingham, Suffolk, MA.

On 3 Jul 1646 when Rebecca was 26, she married Peter Hobart, M, in Hingham, Plymouth, MA.
iii. John, 9G Uncle, M. Born on 23 Aug 1623 in Hingham, Norfolk, England. John died in Palm River, Rehoboth, Bristol, Massachusetts on 6 Feb 1708, he was 84.

On 30 Dec 1668 when John was 45, he first married Elizabeth Hunting, F.

abt 1648 when John was 24, he second married Hannah Cooper, F, in Hingham, Norfolk, Massachusetts. Born in 1625 in Hingham, Norfolk, England. Hannah died in Seekonk Plain, Bristol, Massachusettes in 1648, she was 23.

On 21 Nov 1677 when John was 54, he third married Rebecca Hunt, F, in Rehobath, Bristol, Massachusetts.

Joseph second married Mrs. Mary Peck, F, in Hingham, Norfolk, England.
