Robert Peck was probably born near Beccles, Suffolk, as his presumed great grandfather was of Beccles at the time of his will in 1504.
John Leek of Beccles bequeathed land bought of Marsh to his "neve" [grandson] Robert Peck in his will dated 6 September 1529. This land is later bbequeathed by Robert Peck in his will.
A suit of Drawer vs. Peck around 1630 concerns the legacies of Robert Peck and Katherine (Leek) Drawer from John Leek. Robert Peck was of Beccles at the time of the suit.

"31 October 1556 - the will of Robert Peck of Beccles, co. Suffolk, England...My body to be buried in the churchyard of Beccles, near unto the grave of Joan, my wife. To every one of my household servants 12d. To John Peck my son, my messuage
wherein I dwell and my tenement "late Mayster Rede" and the two meadows lying next the meadow in the tenor of Mathew Prynte and my little garden "late Philippe Doddes," my close "sometyme Helyn Churches," my "fryttlell as the further Wynde Myll late
Richard Tyde," and three acres of land "late William Marshes" upon condition that he shall pay to Thomas Pecke, my sons, and to my three daughters Margaret, Olyve, and Anne. To
Robard Pecke, my son, my other two meadows in Barstun (?Barsham) "late Churchmans" and the meadows late "Doctor Rede sometyme Baldewyns," my close at Ingate church, one acre of land "late Tyde at Ingatefelds" and the "three roode acres called Bells
acre." To Thomas Pecke, my son, my two tenements I purchased of John Walter and my tenter yard. To my daughters Margaret, Olyve, and Anne, to each £6.13s.4d. To every one of John Water's and William Water's children 4d. To every one of my
godchildren 4d.
Executors: Richard Crampton and Thomas Hagas. Supervisors: John Waters and Robert Bradley. My little "pyctell called Caves pyctell" lying in Ingate shall be sold. To Joan Meriman, my daughter, a gown and a petticoat that were her mother's and the
worser paire of Corall beads." Witnesses: Sir John Bymbyn, Robert Tower, Robert Grene, Thomas Goodwyn, and John Waters. Proved 20 November
1556."




In 1542 when Robert was 16, he first married Joan (Anne) Norton, F, daughter of Walter Norton, M (abt 1484-) & Mrs. Jone Norton, F (abt 1488-), in Wakefield, York, England. Born abt 1510 in Of, Halesworth, Suffolk, England. Joan (Anne) died in Beccles, Suffolk, England in 1600, she was 90.

In 1540 when Robert was 14, he second married Joan Waters, 11G Grandmother, F, daughter of John Waters, M (1500-28 May 1547) & Margaret, F (1504-3 Aug 1556), in Suffolk, Eng. Born in 1524 in England. Joan died in Beccles, Surrey, England in 1556, she was 32.

Joan Waters, daughter of John and Margaret Waters of Beccles, wrote her will 28 May 1547. In it she mentions her husband's daughter Joan Peck with her husband Robert and her children John, Robert and Margaret. Joan Peck "the younger" also
mentioned has been supposed to be the stepdaughter of Joan (Waters) Peck. If not, perhaps Robert Peck's mother was still living and was also named Joan.
