May 9, 2001 - The website has been updated quite a bit since March. I am not going to get into it so you are just going to have to trust me on this one.
March 23, 2001 - Issue 2 of the Tvashtar Sun newsletter released March 7. Added a movie showing Tvashtar in 3-D.
February 23, 2001 - Two new images added to I27 page. Added some information about A34 to Future Flybys page. Added S/ 2001 (87) 1 to the Moon List. Added information about the new Surt outburst to the front page.
February 22, 2001 - Added an article about a proposed mission to Io. Added information on the front page about 95 Worlds and Counting. Added a new link to the links page.
February 5, 2001 - Added a movie of Io in eclipse made by Cassini to the movie page.
February 4, 2001 - Updated map page with a new version of the Io names map from the USGS.
February 3, 2001 - Added a color image of the middle part of the Amirani flow field to the I27 page. Added some volcano news to the front page. Updated links on the maps page. Added a color image of the anti-jovian hemisphere to the E6 page.
February 2, 2001 - Added a list of links to abstracts from the 32nd Lunar and Planetary Sciences Conference to be held in March.
January 30, 2001 - Added a new article to the articles page. Updated an image of Zal Montes and Zal Patera from I27.
January 29, 2001 - Added a new article about Io (and Ganymede) to the articles page. Added the outline of a forthcoming article to the Info page. Added a page for abstracts from the 32nd LPSC to the articles page. Added two new Io images to the I27 page.
January 26, 2001 - Updated the hotspot list with information from the GEM and GMM missions.
January 24, 2001 - Added an image of hot lava in the darkness at Pele to the I27 page. Added information on a few new papers to the front page.
January 23, 2001 - Added several items to the news page. Added a few movies of simulations of Ionian plumes to the movies page.
January 22, 2001 - Added a new Cassini image of Io to the Cassini Page. Added information on a paper on the formation of Mountains on Io to the front page. Added Several movies of the Io Plasma Torus to the movies page. One shows a model of the plasma torus and two are Cassini movies of the plasma torus.
January 18, 2001 - Made a seperate page for Updates.
January 15, 2001 - Posted to the premier issue of the Pillanian News Newsletter to the Newsletter page.
January 12, 2001 - Added several new movies to the movies page. Added several news items to the news page. Added a link to "Jupiter and Io" by Corregio, a 16th Century painter to the fiction page.
January 5, 2001- Updated website after the discovery of 10 new moons of Jupiter.
January 4, 2001 - Updated link to IJW Satellite Discipline. Added a new news article on recent volcanic activity.
December 31, 2000 - Added images 1 and 2 to the Best Images of 2000 Page. Added a few pages to the Newsletter Page.
December 29, 2000 - Added images 3 and 8 to the Best Images of 2000 Page. Added the page for a forthcoming newsletter. Updated site after G29 flyby. Added an article by Franck Marchis et al. on Adaptive Optic imaging of Ionian Volcanism in the IR to the Scientfic Articles page.
December 28, 2000 - Added images 4 and 5 to the Best Images of 2000 Page. Typed up and posted a short article on the possible new eruption at Tvashtar Catena and put it in the news department. Added ADONIS AO images of Io taken December 16 to my Ground Based Images page.
December 26, 2000 - Added a page of the best images of 2000 taken of Io. Added number 6 and 7.
December 20, 2000 - Added an image of Cassini of Io and Jupiter that was released today, gave the image its own page and added the image to the Cassini Page. Updated the Moon List with new information on the satellites discovered this year (orbital information and size). Added a link to a Cassini imaging page to the Cassini Page, Links Page, and Images Page.
December 19, 2000 - Added two movies of Io taken by Voyager 2 to the Movies page. These movies show cresent views of Io as it rotates. One is a color time-lapse movie showing plumes along the bright limb and the other shows Jupiter-shine illuminating the dark side of Io. Added S/ 2000 S 11 to the moon list. Added a list of Upcoming events for the next year to this page. Updated G29 observation information, like resolution and center coordinates on g29_c30_i31_plan_images.htm. Added a few links to the links page and Cassini page. Updated my about page with a new picture of me, my school schedule, and some current events in my life.
December 11, 2000 - Added an image of Io taken by the Cassini spacecraft to the Cassini image page.
December 7, 2000 - Updated the Satellite list with the addition of 4 new Saturnian moons, S/ 2000 S 7-10.
November 26, 2000 - Updated website to reflect the discover of S/ 2000 J 1, the 18th moon of Jupiter.
November 22, 2000 - Added a list of the 79 satellites in the solar system to the info page. Updated and added a few links on the links page. Added two articles to the news page.
November 16, 2000 - Updated Future Flybys page with Information on I32 observations.
November 15, 2000 - Added the play "Prometheus Bound" by Aeschylus to the Stories page.
November 11, 2000 - Changed the layout of the front page of this website (this page). Added a movie showing the sky from Loki Patera over the course of one and a half Ionian days to the movie page.
