Here is a list of possible things that can be submitted for this newsletter:
- Abstracts of papers to be published in refereed journals
- Titles of submitted (but not yet accepted) papers and conference proceedings
- Short articles, announcements, or editorials
- Descriptions of websites (yours or someone elses)
- Announcements for conferences
- Observing campaigns (status, requests for collaboration/coordination)
- Status reports of on-going programs
- Job advertisements
- General News
- Abstracts of completed theses
- Table of contents/outlines of books
- General information deemed of interest to the Io community
Figures can also be submitted but they will only be included with the online version. The email version will include a link to the figure. Here is a general format for submissions. They maybe in any of the following file types: PDF, DOC, e-mail, ascii, PostScript.
Submission Type:
Submission types are published (paper that has been published in a referreed
journal), accepted (paper that has been submitted to a referreed journal), submitted
(paper that has been submitted, but not accepted, to a referreed journal), conference
(paper presented at a conference), and other (everything else).
Title:
Author(s):
List the authors and indicate the number that corresponds to the institute of
each author
Affiliations/address:
List of affiliations/address.
Here is a general format for this that I think will make sense, at least to
me anyway:

2. Institute 2
Address 2
3. Institute 3
Address 3
And so on...
Text:
Here you would have the text of your article or abstract. If this is for an
article in a referred journal, this would be the abstract of that article. If
this is an article written specifically for this newsletter or for the public
in general, then include the article. One other note, if you paper has not yet
been accepted, do not include you abstract. I would only include title, authors,
and contact info as well as the journal that it will be published in, if known.
Journal: Name of the refered journal that the paper has been or wille be published
in.
Volume:
Volume number if known
Page #s:
Range of pages if known
Thesis Information:
If your paper is a thesis, then include when, where, and under whom your degree
was completed and include contact info.
Example:
Dissertation directed by G. Bush
Ph.D. awarded January, 2001 from White House
Address as of January 2001: White House, 1600 Pennsylvania Ave., Washington,
DC, 55555
Preprint Availability info:
Include email address, ftp address, or URL for preprint
