Dorian
Montes and Haokah Patera
2 image mosaic of the northern part of Dorian Montes.
Due to the high sun illumination, topography is hard to see.
The southern part of Dorian is in the lower left part of the
mosaic and the northern part of Dorian is in the center part
of the mosaic. The caldera in the upper right part of
the mosaic is called Haokah Patera. This volcano is
has a green floor, similar to Chaac Patera. Green material
is formed when Sulfur interacts with warm lava.

Boosaule Montes and "Shakuru
Mons" on Io's Limb
Two Ionian Mountains, Boosaule Montes and "Shakuru Mons,"
can be seen in this 1.5 km/pixel image of Io. Boosaule is
located NW of Pele and is 15.9 km tall. "Shakuru Mons"
borders Shakuru Patera to the west. The name "Shakuru
Mons" is a temporary name and maybe changed. Other features
in this image include Mulungu and Itzamna to the upper right,
Ot Patera to the left, Kami-Nari (labled dark deposit) and
Pillan Paterae at the bottom, and Gabija and Ionian Mons to
the the upper left on Io.

Boosaule Montes and Egypt
Mons on Io's limb
The 1.5 km/pixel image of Io shows two mountains on Io's
limb, Boosaule and Egypt Montes. Boosaule is located NW of
Pele and is 15.9 km tall. Egypt Mons is located SW of Pele.
Other features seen in this image include Pillan, Pele, Kami-Nari,
and Reiden. Kami-Nari erupted sometime between March 1998
and July 1999. A fissure NW of Pillan erupted in the summer
of 1997 producing a large pyroclastic deposit, long lava flows
that flowed into Pillan, and a "magmatic" plume.
Though oblique, this view is one of the best of Pillan.
