My
Name is Jason Perry. I am 17 years old and I am a junior at Leavenworth High
School in Leavenworth, KS. I enjoy keeping snakes, playing soccer, running
track, watching TV, and playing games on the computer. During my freshmen
and sophmore years, I ran junior varsity Cross country winning one medal.
I am not running Cross country this year but I hope to run my senior year.
I ran track last year for my H.S.
I own three tarantulas, Hi'iaka, Rosanna, and Maria, as well as an evil little parakeet named Tweety.
My other interests include space, "Survivor," "Whose Line is it anyway?" and the Jacksonville Jaguars.
This summer, I will be working at the Lunar and Planetary Laboratory at the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona. I will be working on image analysis of Galileo and Cassini images of Io. I will looking into what makes volcanoes on Io "tick" or as my Drama II teacher Mr. Elliott would say, "What motivates them? What makes them get out of bed in the morning?" Short answer: corn chips. But seriously, I will looking for physical signs that confirm or disprove some of the formation models that have been presented for the volcanoes on Io and the mountains on Io.
In the picture to the left, I am the skinny runner behind the big guy with the clip board. This was taken at a race at Olathe South. I won a medal at this race. The big guy with the clip board is my coach.
I promised my friends that I would post their names here: Thomas B., Katy K., Stephanie, Larry C., Marc H., Jed S., and finally my girlfriend, Janine Richardson. These are the people hang out with, except for Jed, he's a dork :)
I am currently a member of the American Geophysical Union
Here is a picture of me at my brother's wedding reception which took place on June 2, 2001.
This
is my school pic from this school year. Its a bad pic I know since I scanned
it from my badge but its the most recent pic I have.
Here is a list of papers I have done for school that I have placed here for no particular reason at all.
