China Coach LTD.

China Coach LTD. created a number of copiers in the 1990's.  Although they were fairly good copiers, they most of them had numerous bugs and problems that kept them from rising above the rest.

Super Pro Fighter

The Super Pro Fighter was first made in 1993.  It came with 16M of memory (expandable to 32M), a built-in 3.5" drive, and 256K SRAM.   Features included the ability to run games from disk or cartridge, BRAM save, automatic Goldfinger code find, realtime save, and disk formatting up to 1.6M.  No parallel port.  A cartridge from the same country must be inserted to run games from disk.  No Super FX support.

Super Pro Fighter Q

The Super Pro Fighter Q was made in later 1993.  According to a member of China Coach LTD., it was one of their better units because it had very few problems.  It made bugfixes and improvements over the Super Pro Fighter.   Apparently, a Super Pro Fighter Q Plus was made that 20M of memory instead of 16M.

Pro Fighter X

The Pro Fighter X was made in 1994.  It came with 24M of memory (expandable to 64M).  Features included 256K SRAM, DSP compatibility, real time save, automatic Goldfinger cheats, and the ability to run files from an optional CD-ROM drive.  No parralel port.

This copier reportedly has very few problems and is user-friendly.  The GUI is very maneuverable, making for an easy-to-use system.

Pro Fighter X Turbo 2

In general, this was very similar to its predecessor.   Actually, it gained a major motherboard problem that caused a large number of short outs.

Double Pro Fighter

This copier, made in 1994, was plagued with numerous problems because of low quality components.  Instead of using regular 3.5" disk drives, CCL used Laptop disk drives.  Units would be shipped and would arrive unuseable.   In some cases, chips would be flying around on the inside.  The result of these bad components was many returns and and replacements.  This was not one of CCL's better units.

This was the last in the line of the Pro Fighters.  It included 32M of memory, but again used low quality components.

Smart Bros.

This was the last SNES copier made by CCL.  Produced in 1995, it was one of the best copiers that was compatible with SNES and Genesis; however, they are very rare.  It came with 32M of memory (expandable to 64M).  Unlike previous CCL copiers, it included a parallel port.  It also included the ability to run files from a CD with an optional CD-ROM drive, DSP compatibility, and 256K SRAM.

The bottom line for China Coach LTD. copiers is that they are generally of fair quality, but some are plagued with problems.  If you are looking for a truly dependable copier, you may want to look into other copiers; however, CCL did produce decent units early in their career.  If you had to buy one, CH suggests Smart Bros. if you can find it, or the Pro Fighter X.
