Diary

This is a diary of the Banshees that encompasses: 1) A tour itinerary compiled from THE FILE  newsletters & fanzines, tour programs, books and from various fans. Important dates in Banshee history such as release dates for albums and singles. Includes live photos where available. 2) Audio reviews for when a show has been recorded or is thought to have been, and 3) my audios for trade. The reviews are taken from a fanzine that Roy Williams (RW) put together called 'Bansheed' in 1984. This has been updated and added to by myself. As I don't know Roy Williams or any body that contributed to his fanzine, I cannot thank them personally so would like to take this opportunity to credit them here for their inspiration for these pages, and thanks to anyone who has contributed in some way.

AUDIO INFO / PREFERENCES

(PLEASE read carefully, as I will only trade under these circumstances due to past experiences) L

  J

These audio's are for TRADE ONLY on MD and CDR (consumer music or PC music discs) audio formats and I would prefer them recorded optically when possible. PLEASE NOTE THAT CDRS / MDs SHOULD NOT BE RECORDED TOO HIGH WHEN RECORDED ANALOG, AS THIS LEADS TO DISTORTION ‘PIPS’ or 'BURNS' in the recording, ALWAYS AIM FOR MIDDLE VOLUME (-10/-06 dB) TO AVOID PEAKING INTO THE RED! Digital recorders do not have a buffer zone like tape machines where you can go into the RED and distortion's not always audible. With digital, it will just clip the RED and a 'click' will be heard.

J

I prefer not to be sent tapes unless absolutely unavoidable.

J

I do not accept blank trades (for cost of postage and blank cdrs sent to me etc...) except with long established friends.

J

I will only send after I have received to safe guard against being ripped off.

J

Please do not write on the disc.

If all the above are taken into account and would like to trade, then please download list and email!. Thank You

QUALITY

My Mini Disc deck can also be used to correct the speed (PITCH) so that when an old tape has altered speed (be it too slow or fast but is good quality otherwise)I can correct this and if you have any that you would like the speed to be corrected, just let me know! The recordings I have done this to are indicated by 'speed corrected'.

 J

I also spend a lot of time improving the audio quality via digital EQ and if a recording has 'improved' / EQ-ed next to it, this is why.
