L.A. Hollywood Palldium 11th August 2002

Live Review by Spacewench / Mr. Stacy

OK, I'm not fond of the Palladium and the security bullshit but the show was absolutely OUTSTANDING!

Sioux's vocal performance was quite possibly the best I've ever witnessed- she was certainly at the top of her game and proved to everyone, particularly the nay-sayers that she indeed can still blow anyone else away and reigns supreme as the goddess of my musical world.

The set list was fantastic- Red Light, Christine, Icon, I Could Be Again (and she certainly IS!!!), Happy House, Israel, the absolute single best performance I've ever witnessed or heard of both Voodoo Dolly and Nightshift!

After they said goodbye, the house lights came on and everyone started leaving, a minute or two later the lights went back down and they came back with the most incredible version of Kiss Them For Me you could ever imagine- she hit every note PERFECTLY and the song really worked as a psychedelic guitar driven punk rock dirge! It didn't sound empty at all as I have heard it in the past.

Knox Chandler has become very good at getting that BANSHEE's sound and they all seemed to be enjoying themselves immensely- even Severein was smiling throughout!!! Budgie- well what can I say, the man is a genius as ever and a totally brilliant shining pure white light.

The crowd was completely into it and I think not one person in that room was disappointed, in fact, I think everyone was rather blown away- they really did BLOW THE HOUSE DOWN!

Ciao and have fun in Anaheim those of you lucky enough to be able to hit that one as well.

It could only be better because of the venue and atmosphere, otherwise, you can't really beat this show.
