I.S.S.C.A. hosted their first convention in August 1987 at the
Frontier Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada in which 69 members & spouses
attended. To say the least it was a huge success for the inaugural event. Since then, our
attending membership have selected and voted upon each sight to where the future
conventions will be held. To date, the ten past conventions have been held every
alternate year in Las Vegas. The Boardwalk Hotel & Casino has been the location for
the past five conventions, including this year's event to which we had 52 attendees.
Registration began on Monday, Sept 12 th 2005, at 7:30 AM, after which we had three full
days of morning meetings with stick trading and socializing in the afternoons. Highlights
included guest speakers, a cocktail party and the closing banquet on Wednesday evening to
finalize the tenth I.S.S.C.A. convention. |
