Detailed History
Four Bristol LHS6L's with ECW bodywork, Leyland six-cylinder diesel engines and five-speed synchromesh transmission were bought new by Southern Vectis in 1975 and entered service in NBC Leaf Green & White livery. They featured a one-piece destination blind screen whilst internally the seats were tan (instead of green) with coffee coloured backs, as was the panelling, (instead of cream). The entrance doors interior was black (instead of cream).

In May 1978 THX618M was acquired second-hand from National Travel (South East). It was new to A. Timpson & Sons of London in August 1973 passing to National Travel (South East) in January 1974.

In June 1978 THX618M was repainted into Dual-Purpose NBC Leaf Green & White livery (previously NBC White coach livery) with Green hand-painted fleetnames on the roof cant panels and entered service as [DP1].

In late 1978 THX618M [DP1] received a standard single-aperture destination screen box as fitted to the 1975 batch replacing the small single-aperture type.

In November 1980 THX618M [DP1] was renumbered to [201].

They were withdrawn in:
August 1982: HDL412N [836] & HDL413N [837]
September 1982: THX618M [201]
March 1984: HDL414N [838]
April 1984: HDL415N [839]
