Detailed History
Two Dennis Dart's with Duple bodywork were acquired second-hand by Southern Vectis in January 2000 from London United. G516VYE and G526VYE were numbered [DT16] and [DT26] respectively in the London United fleet which were new to them in April 1990.

Both were reseated to DP25F and painted into a special livery of yellow with a green skirt and labeled "Ryde Runner" before entering service with Southern Vectis. Until August 2000, they ran almost exclusively on service 10 connecting Ryde with Tesco at Westridge, but were subsequently deployed on other services.

In July 2000 the pair had their "Ryde Runner" labels removed and vinyls for Rover Tickets were applied in their place in August 2000.

By November 2000 the pair had the front luggage compartments replaced with a seat for 3 passengers on each side. [per Gavin Rowney]

During March 2001 the pair received a standard size destination blind box, which is now located on the roof (rather than above the windscreen as previously); G516VYE [816] by 20 March 2001 and G526VYE [817] by 27 March 2001. [per Gavin Rowney]

In late February 2002 G516VYE [816] was re-painted into Oxford Blue & (Yellow, Orange & Red) Stripes livery. [per Gavin Rowney]

During early April 2002 G526VYE [817] had the roof mounted pod removed prior to repaint into Oxford Blue & (Yellow, Orange & Red) Stripes livery. [per Paul Budden]

During early November 2006 G516VYE [816] & G526VYE [817] were withdrawn from service.
