Detailed History
L936KSG & L937KSG were new to Rennie of Dunfermline. [per Ken Lansdowne]

At some stage thereafter they passed to Anslow of Pontypool. [per Ken Lansdowne]

They subsequently passed to Fountain Coaches, Isle of Wight. [per Ken Lansdowne]

In May 2002 L936KSG & L937KSG were puchased by Southern Vectis (still in the White, Yellow & Green livery of Anslow of Pontypool) being allocated fleet numbers [263] & [264] respectively.

By 13 July 2002 L937KSG [264] had been repainted into Dark Blue & (Yellow, Orange & Red) Stripes livery and entered service. [per Gavin Rowney]

On 26 November 2004 L937KSG [264] was withdrawn from service. [per Phil Stockley/Marc Morgan-Huws]

Subsequent History

L936KSG [263]:

  • By 15 June 2002 it was noted as being canibalised for spares. [per Gavin Rowney]
    In May 2003 the remains were finally scrapped.

L937KSG [264]:

  • On 26 November 2004 L937KSG [264] was transferred to Solent Blue Line operating as their number [264] (it was originally intended to be on loan to SBL). [per Phil Stockley/Marc Morgan-Huws]
    During late January 2005 it was withdrawn from service following engine failure. [per Phil Stockley]
  • On 10 May 2006 it was sold for scrap (buyer unknown). [per Phil Stockley]
