A brief history of a long and some times wild ride
As I stated on the Homepage of this site, it has been on the web since Spring 1999 and has
definitely grown has time has gone forward.
Anyone who has or had a website knows that keeping one going isn't as easy as it might seem. Such has been the case with this "little" site. When I started in the Spring of 1999 I wasn't sure how long the site would last because I knew it was going to grow quite a bit and I was using a free hosting service.
That first hosting service was originally called Click2site when I uploaded my first few pages to it's servers. Six months later Click2Site changed it's name to Bizland.com and things continued to go smoothly.
My work schedule however began cutting into my time to update the site so there were long
stretches without updates beginning in March 2000. We were also experiencing some pretty good web traffic as well. I continued to update the site as often as I could throughout 2000 and had a new plan for the site for 2001.
Then in February 2001, without warning Bizland pulled the plug on my hosting account and took the site down. I made numerous email,
snail mail, and telephone attempts but I could get no explanation for their actions.
So I began to look for a new home for this site and found one at a hosting company called, BigSiteCity.com. After
a lot of hours and a ton of html reworking I re-launched the site in late spring of 2001 at BigSiteCity.com. That lasted several months before thier domain was purchased by a Spanish company and again the site disappeared.
So I had to find another home and found a good one at Fortunecity.com. Where the site has currently resides and has
more than 40,000 links
So I hope you all will continue to visit and find the site helpful.
