Ken has always enjoyed music of the baroque period, particularly the music of J.S.Bach and has striven to specialise in that field, although he does not limit himself to any particular genre of music. Recent performances have included Bach's B. Minor Mass and the exquisite solo cantata 'Widerstehe doch der Sunde' BWV 54. He also recently sang the part of Micah in Handel's oratorio 'Samson' for Leeds College of Music. Ken has performed both as soloist and choral singer in a great variety of locations from the grandeur of the Cathedrals of Canterbury, Rochester and St. Albans in the UK and Denver, Grace Cathedral San Francisco and the National Cathedral in Wahington DC, to local concert halls such as the Leas Cliff Hall overlooking the sea in Folkestone and local parish churches. Now back in Yorkshire near to his wife's family, he is no longer constrained by daily duties as a lay clerk and is free to take on work as a soloist. Any interested partities are welcome to contact him via the E-mail link on each page of this site. |
