Equipment: Guns

The mysterious Slaymaster is one of the worlds greatest marksman, and as such his skill with guns needs special handling. He usualy prefers to use a matched set of high-powered pistols that inflict Typical (6) damage with a Good (10) range (4 areas, -1CS to hit for every area after the 4th).

It seems likely that his guns can hold specilized ammo like Explosive and/or Armor Piercing bullets. Explosive bullets would inflect 12 points of damage, and AP bullets would ignore up to Excellent (20) Body Armor.

If he ever again knows he'll face Destructor in combat, he'll doubtless ask Doctor Shroud for a weapons upgrade.

Mask: Slaymaster's mask includes a special distorter that scrambles both the sound and location of his voice, keeping opponents from guessing his location when he is speaking but out of sight. Anyone trying to pinpoint his location useing the sound of his voice must make a Red Intuition FEAT roll. This sounds like an unusual ability, but it works well with one of his favorite tactics. He starts talking to cover the sounds of his movements, then sneaks around an opponent and attacks from an unexpected direction. Also, Infra-Red/Ultra-Violet Eyepieces allow him to see clearly at night.

Body Armor: It seems likely that his coverall is lined with light kevlar/armor plates and fire resistant cloth, providing him with Typical (6) Body Armor and Excellent (20) resistance to Flame/Heat.

Talents: Weapon Master (Guns) +3CS with guns of all sorts, Crime, Martial Arts C and E, Detective/Espionage.
Contacts: Agent of the Combine

History: The Slaymaster's personal history is as shadowy and mysterious as he is. He seems to be one of the Combine's top assassins, and to have filled that position for years. In his first (and last) appearance it looks as though Slaymaster died. It's just possible that he managed to survive his encounter with Destructor, but shamed dead so he could escape. It's also possible that another expert marksman with assume the mantle of...the Slaymaster.

As far as my campaign goes, I had Slaymaster survive. I didn't hate Destructor or anything, but I always liked his villains (Slaymaster, Deathgrip, the Outcasts, Huntress and Lobo) more than I liked him.

Description: While on the job, the Slaymaster usualy dresses in a dark coverall (look closely at the picture. It's NOT a suit), shoes, gloves, mask and a hat. His appearance seems inspired by the Crimemaster, yet another Steve Ditko created villain from his early years at Spider-Man.

Personality: Calm, cool and collective under pressure, the Slaymaster is perhaps the ultimate professional. If he finds he's underestimated an opponent, he'll shift gears quickly and adapt to the new situation. He's neither stupid nor unusually cruel, looking at his brutal occupation from a uniquely philosophical approach.
