Sailor Moon
Thousands of years ago, the solar system lived in a peaceful era known as the Silver Millenium. The people of the planets lived in complete bliss. However, an evil queen from another dimension called the Negaverse (which displayes some form of sentience) was seeking the power to merge her dimension with our own. The Sailor Scouts of the outer planets fought a valiantly and although weakening Queen Baryl's army, eventually fell to the might of her Shadow Warriors. Baryl soon made it to the inner planets and the remaining four sailor scouts, as well as the queen of the moon, Sereneity, managed to seal the Shadow Warriors inside of Queen Serenity's mystical Imperial Silver Crystal, as well as banish Baryl and her army back to the Negaverse. Unfortunately the act cost the lives of everyone, but those on planet Earth, excluding the prince of Earth Darien and Serenity's daughter and Darien's betrothed, Serena.
Knowing that Baryl would return once again, Serenity sent Darien, Serena, and the Sailor Scouts back to Earth and reincarnated them. She also shattered the Imperial Silver crystal into nine smaller gems and reincarnated them into normal humans. Centuries passed and all seemed well. The Sailors hadn't been needed for generations until one fateful day when Queen Baryl opened a portal to Earth...
